It seemed weird to be setting off for home again in the dark of night, but in Viorar the city was eternally locked in its shadow. It was around eight in the morning, and Agetha was yawning sleepily as the night owl was getting ready to return to her bed, but not before seeing her daughter off. Crossroads slung a small backpack of supplies to her back and gave her adoptive mother a hug. "I'll be back soon, to visit. I promise."

Agetha hugged Crossroads back, then broke the hug and folded her arms grumpily, "And when you do I better see a real grand baby." She grumbled, then pointed to the Cerberus pup the scrambled out and made a beeline towards the fence ready to get moving. Agetha pointed a boney finger at it, "And despite your efforts to convince me girl, that is not a grandbaby. You better get to it, I am getting old and fixing to die any day now." Crossroads blushed, looking uncomfortable as her mother said this.

Tyrranis gives a short bow to Agetha as she finishes speaking with Crossroads. "Thank you for looking after myself and Crossroads. If you do not mind, I will also come visit you again with her." That said, the giganto adjusts the bandages on his wrists and tracks the Cerberus puppy as it bounces about, heads not quite agreeing on what needs yapping at the most.

"I have given my conditions." Agetha answered, leaning on her cane. Crossroads made her way down the path then turned back and waved. She still wasn't feeling one hundred percent better, but she was more than ready to return home. There was probably some fish still in the freezer. She knew exactly what she wanted once they got there.

Tyrranis nods to Agetha and makes his way down the path next to Crossroads. "If you need, you can use my bat as a cane. Just to help you move along." The big man offers the battered weapon to Crossroads hilt first, where the least amount of splinters are.

"I am fine to walk. I just might need to stop and rest more often." Crossroads smiled up at Tyrranis, then reached for his hand. "I think I wouldn't mind taking this though." Sir Barkington scampered on ahead, then came back to circle his masters before getting sidetracked by something in the bushes on the side of the road. Apparently they moved too slowly for the pup.

Tyrranis smiles softly, and then turns his attention to the puppy once more. "He sure is a handful. Was he difficult to handle during your trip?" After saying it, Tyrranis immediately frowns a little, wondering if this was something he should even mention or not.

Crossroads frowns a little, staring ahead down the road infront of her towards the rest of the city. That night had been a blur. "He wasn't too pleased about boarding the airship, but he settled down a little once we were in the air." She answered, trying her best to recall. "He seemed happy once we got to my moms and took a pretty long nap."

Tyrranis gives a light chuckle. "He really is like a small child. Getting tired over things that are new and a change from the norm." Tyrranis squeezes Crossroads' hand gently, looking around at the midnight city. "How should we go about getting back home. Walking, or a different way?"

Crossroads's frowned deepened. She would have preferred the airship since it would mean getting to sleep in her bed again sooner, but in her haste she didn't think enough to grab enough money for a return trip. And the airship was pretty expensive. "I think we might be stuck with walking. This was kind of a spur of the moment trip so I didn't really plan things out that well." She smiled, squeezing his hand back in response and trying to look on the bright side. "But walking isn't so bad. I'll be able to spend more time with you, after all!"

"Yes, I would like a nice, calm walk with you. I honestly do not know if I could handle much excitement right now, without relying heavily on my powers." Tyrranis reaches up and rubs at the bandages covering one of his wrists. "And that would just injure me more, at this point."

That smile she put on was short lived as Tyrranis spoke. She was still recovering from illness, and he was still injured. Should the two of them really be walking anywhere? "How is your gem, Tyr?" Crossroads asked, feeling a wave of worry sweep over her.

"It is not a worry. Lorastine's cleansing of it at the end of the last battle was a solid choice." Tyrranis settles his bat on his shoulder, and gives you a reassuring grin.

Crossroads looked relieved and went back to smiling. "Agetha packed up some food for us so we shouldn't have to worry too much about that for a couple meals at least. We should probably stop for the night at Walla Walla though." It wouldn't be a good idea to push either of them too hard. The trip might take longer but she had to keep illness and injuries in mind.

Tyrranis nods. "I remember Walla Walla. The people there are generally kind. It will be nice to revisit it once more." Sir Barkington circles the pair once more, before settling on trotting in front of both of them, barking happily every once in a while to act as a herald for the approaching wishborn.

Crossroads nodded. With breaks in mind, the two of them would still likely get there before the sun even set. "So... where did you go the last time you started wandering?" She asked.

Tyrranis says ' Back north, to a town called Mandala. They are a small settlement, mostly comprised of simple people. Things were peaceful there, though I was unable to commission what I wanted. It was a slight shame, and I spent too long in the mountains getting lost.'

Crossroads tilted her head up to Tyrranis looking confused. She wasn't aware that he was looking for someone to make something. And considering he had gone all the way to Mandala to look for it it probably wasn't something easy to aquire "What kind of commission?" She asked, then suddenly gasped, "Wait! You went to Mandala without ME?!" She was a little annoyed upon realizing this. Hadn't she and Lora been dreaming about visiting the hot springs there not long ago?

Tyrranis tenses a little, then rubs the back of his head with his knuckles. "Well, to be fair I spent very little time in Mandala itself. After a little bit there, I climbed the nearby mountians in search of someone who could help me. And then I climbed the wrong one. I am not overly sure why harpies dislike me so much, but it made my progress... difficult."

Crossroads's shoulders sagged further, not liking the idea of Tyrranis being attacked while alone in the mountains. "What were you looking for exactly?" She asked. As they entered the busier part of the city, Sir Barkington trotted from one person to the next giving them an excited greeting.

Tyrranis points to the trotting pup. "A leash that would not irritate him. Perhaps also a dress for you. I remembered last time I was there they had some interesting fashions. But the last time I was there I was much more interested in combat, so I did not pay enough attention. That is the story of much of my life."

"That is sweet of you to look." Crossroads leaned her head against Tyrranis' arms and glanced at the stores they were passing as well as the displays in their windows. "We might be able to find something here for him. I don't have much money but I could probably afford a leash if we find one."

Tyrranis shakes his head. "It is okay. I wish to get as much ground under my feet as possible. Lorastine and Alcatraz may be worrying about my condition without any contact, and I do not wish to cause them concern."

At this moment Crossroads wished she knew where Mollianne had ended up. They could have asked to borrow her transceiver to contact Lora. "Yeah, I suppose you are right. We'll probably be pretty slow going anyway, we probably shouldn't waste any more time than we have to."

Tyrranis squeezes Crossroads' hand once more. "I am sorry, Cross. One of these days, when things are calmer, I will take you out somewhere where we can relax. I promise this to you."

Crossroads smiled softly, then turns to hug Tyrranis, closing her eyes as she rests her head against the gigantos' chest. "I look forward to those days, Tyr." She said softly. She hoped they would come soon.

Tyrranis embraces Crossroads in return, letting loose a soft sigh. "I will see us through to them. Trust me." He wasn't overly sure how at this moment, but that seemed like the best thing to say.
