Lorastine opens the door to Cross's house back at Truce. As she steps though the door, the previous mess still persisted in the house. The blood had dried on the floor and the furniture still was strewen about the place. The young hylian looks around with a sense of loss, the house was so quite and empty it almost felt wrong to be back here. Lorastine remained quiet, as she had most of the trip back, as she gingerly avoided the messes on the floor.

Alcatraz entered a few minutes after Lorastine. He hadn't spoken the entire trip, but wanted to break the silence after seeing the mess. His hands were in his pockets as he walked and looked around. "We umm... we should probably clean up this mess then, shouldn't we, huh?" He didn't want to offend her by saying it, but being in a place like this is little more than depressing.

Lorastine made her way into the living room where she found the seed on the table. "Hm?" she said quietly looking up from her trance like feeling. "Oh right, we should straighten this place up a bit." She goes off into the kitchen to go grab cleaning supplies for the blood and dirt. "I'll handle the blood if you don't mind the heavy lifting." she says coming back with a mop and bucket filled with soapy water. In the water a large sponge floated on top bobbing as the water shifted.

Alcatraz nodded and began putting furnature back where some of the carpet and dust on the floor insinuated that they went. He didn't know the house, but wanted at least to be helpful. There was more silence for a bit before Alcatraz spoke again. "...What was she like?" he asked, "Crossroads? I don't think I'm going to be able to get your mind off her so... I wanted to know a bit more about her."

Lorastine begins mopping up some of the blood around the entrance with her mop but pauses when he asks his question. "Cross was... she is a really good friend. She let me stay here when I had nowhere else to go. I actually owe her a lot, who knows where I would be without her and Tyrranis." She explained before going back into mopping up the floor. "She always had a motherly quality to her, always looking out for us."

"It's good that you all had someone like that." Alcatraz said after a moment of contemplation. He continued the work around the house. "I'm sure she's still out there. From what I've seen witches only do tricks to upset people. Best to not remain upset, right? It was probably not the truth."

Lorastine nods and presses the mop hard against the stained blood on the floor, getting some of it up. "I'm sure she's still out there. Cross wouldn't die to a witch like that." she says never looking up from the floor, but in a defiant tone. Her hands were gripping the handle of the mop that it starts she slightly shake. She didn't want to believe that there was even a possibility for Crossroads to be dead.

Alcatraz felt like he messed up when he saw her quiver a bit. He didn't want to upset her, he simply wanted to know more about everyone. He was new, and given that there way always such high risk, then it was his responsibility to make these people his new gang. His new family. He sighed a bit, and went over and placed a hand on the mop. "Why don't you sit down, Lora? I can take up the mopping from here. I might not know where all your stuff belongs, but I know how to get blood out of places."

Lorastine shakes her head and looks up at Alcatraz. "I'm fine, honest. I couldn't make you clean up by yourself even if I wanted to." she replies and pulls the mop towards herself. "I'll be ok. Just a lot has happened in a short amount of time." The girl took a quick look around the room and nods, "You did a pretty good job with your part." Lorastine looks at towards the bathoom which had a sink full of blood. "If you want, you can take the bucket and get started in the bathroom." she says handing him the sponge from the bucket. "I'll get in there once I finish out here."

Alcatraz took the sponge and bucket and merely nodded. "Alright." He didn't want to seem awkward, but it was obvious she wanted to be along a bit longer. He went to the bathroom and cringed a bit. He forgot just how messed up the place was when they first came in. It didn't take long for him to start scrubbing out the sink and the counter, slowly moving down to the floor. He let off a chuckling sound. It was kind of ironic to see a street rat cleaning, of all things.

Lorastine appeared at the doorway of the bathroom with a mop in both her hands looking down slightly. "I'm sorry, I don't mean to make it sound like I don't appreciate what you are trying to do." she says, "I just don't want to think as if I lost another person close to me. Especially after last time." Her blonde hair covered her eyes for a moment before she picked her head up. "I wish we would have met on better terms so I wouldn't be so weird."

"I understand," Alcatraz said, still scrubbing, "I don't mean to be so awkward. I just wanted to know more about you guys." He had so many questions he wanted ask, but decided just to let her control the conversation if she wanted to have one. He focused a bit more on the task at hand.

Lorastine nods and moves over to the side and gets the blood on the floor in the bathroom. "There isn't much to us really, well that I can really tell you that would make sense anyway." she says as she mops up some of the blood off the tiled floor. The soul gem shell clinked against her own on her necklace as she fought the stain on the floor. "What about you? I don't know much about you."

"I'm from Brigantes," Alcatraz replied. "Not sure if you know, but little baby boys there aren't exactly blessed or cared for by there mothers." He knocked on his head a bit, the pumpkin making a hollow sound. "My mother didn't exactly want me. She wanted a beautiful baby girl that'd grow into a strong witch, so she threw me onto the streets. I worked with that, made some bad choices, next thing I know there's a cat here and I wished for escape. Now here I am."

Lorastine listens to his story and frowns. "I'm sorry that happened to you." she said in response as she slows down her mopping. "I was actually in a small town outside Hyrule kingdom. My father was an castle guard for the kingdom, he actually taught me what I know involving archery. He died though during a siege on the castle one day. It was me, my mother and my older sister after that, until one day I woke up here in Truce." she explained her background to the best she could remember, it was so long being in the Cleft that she was starting to get fuzzy on life before this place. However Lorastine would never forget her family. "On my first week here, I met Kyuubey and made a wish not knowing what I was getting myself into. I didn't even think the wish would even be real. I met Tyrranis and Crossroads on my first mission and we've stuck together ever since."

Alcatraz knew that many people in the Cleft weren't born there, so he wasn't too phased by that part. He was a bit sad at the rest of it though. It sounded as if she had regrets, eaving her homeland and making the wish. "What did you end up wishing for, then? If you didn't think it would come true, that could mean anything."

"You'll probably think it is stupid." Lorastine said as she finished her task of mopping and cleaning off the mop. Her wish wasn't even something practical or useful.

"Everything seems like a good idea at the time. I'm sure a lot of people regret their wishes..." Alcatraz wasn't sure if he regreted his wish or not. He was finally moving around, which is something that he wanted to do, but on the other hand he was getting his ass chased by witches and monsters. "If you don't want to tell me, that's fine. I know from experience some secrets are meant to be kept."

Lorastine hesitates and takes a deep breath. "My wish.. my wish was to Protect everyone." she says as her cheeks grow a heavy red. "I wanted to be like my father and I knew he lived to protect the citizens of Hyrule."

Alcatraz put the sponge down when he noticed most everything was done in the room. "That's a noble wish, Lora," he said. "I don't have that kind of dedication like you do. I was selfish." He let out a small chuckle along with a shrug. "Guess it's just the way I wasn't raised, y'know? Just do whatever and have an escape plan in case you get caught."

Lorastine shrugs a little bit and averts her gaze. "I suppose." she replies. A small smile appears on her face as the house appears to be finished and clean for the most part. "We're finally done." she says happily. The house was still eeriely empty but it atleast didn't look like the scene of a murder.

Alcatraz nodded. "I guess it'll take awhile to feel like home again, but it's a start." He looked back at Lora and wished he could return her smile. Alas, his facial expression was rather static, being a perminant carving in his head. He sighed. "So, I think I called dibs on buying you dinner? Now that everything's cleaned up, I think I'd like to start on that, next."

Lorastine looks at Alcatraz confused not realizing the pumpkinhead was actually serious before. "Uh. Sure." she says still maintaining her confused expression. "Just as friends." she adds.

Alcatraz walks to the door and and opens it. "Alright then," He said, not dissapointed at all. He just wanted to keep moving and dinner seemed like a new place that'd be nice to try. "Just as friends."
