At the start of night, the fountain comes to life (metaphorically speaking), the people gathering around the monument and central point of the City of Truce, holding their own little meetings or relaxing and enjoying the onset of night.

Hastur sits at one of the benches around the fountain, dipping sake from a large bottle and relaxing.

Sneaking up behind the bench that held her giganto friend, Faith crept closer to the bench until mere inches from its position until jumping over the back of the bench and sitting alongside her friend saying in a calm voice,"boo."

Kent entered the area. He was wearing his green tunic with his regular worn pants and rough leather boots. By his side was his sword as usual, and around his neck was his golden diamond-shaped necklace. However, the most curious thing about him was that he was holding a clipboard and a book. As he sat down on one of the benches farther away from the water, he pulled out a pen and carefully began copying down some pages from the book.

Dio strolls in from the west, looking distractedly at some glowing blue rocks in his hand. He jumps up and stands on the bench once he reaches it, looking up from the Claudia and noticing Hastur sitting across the fountain. "Wonder how he's doing..." Dio shrugs and starts juggling the Claudia, sticking out his tongue as he concentrates on catching and throwing the rocks properly.

Smiling broadly, Fiszeradin hauled his sled in from the east, piled high with fish (a few of which were still trying to flop about), his fur still glistening from the water "Fresh Fish! Get it while you can!" he slithered his way over toward bulletin board to set up shop, dropping the reigns of his sled as his body curled around himself and the fish "50 silver per fish, come and get it!"

Hastur jumps a bit as his friend surprises him, then smiles broadly and chuckles. "Hey there, Faith. It's good to see you. How are ya?" He pulls a bottle of beer out of his backpack and holds it out to her, smiling and sipping his own bottle of sake.

'Are you honestly into book repair these days? You are getting more versitile, hunter.' Kent's reflection spoke to him through the water. "Not like I can find another copy of this." 'Aren't you an outcast?' "Here? No. Here I'm a citizen of Truce." Kent smiled a bit as he went to the next paragraph. His reflection stopped showing interest and the demon shut up.

After a moment, Dio caught all the Claudia and put it in his pocket for safekeeping. He hopped off the bench and ambled over to peruse the selection of fresh fish. "Hmmm... What's your best seller?"

"Nah, I'm fine for now, last time I tried to ride Stardust buzzed it didn't work out so well" Faith shuddered at the recollection of that memory, the citizns of Tonoe still give her cold looks every now and then.

Fiszeradin tilted his head some before leaning down to rifle through his sled "Well... technically I don't think I'm supposed to be selling these, buuuut..." he quickly pulled a dead poliwag out of the sled by the foot "At least, I think it's a fish... I catch them all the time. It goes well with garlic and lemon at the very least."

Hastur shrugs and places the bottle in between himself and his friend. "Well, you can save it for another time, then." He smiles and sips his sake some more. "Been a little while since we last spoke. Anything interesting going on with you?"

Kent was actually rather proud of his progress. This was the last of the burnt pages that needed to be replaced, so as soon as he could fassion a new book binding he'd be done. Since he had found it in Twilight's library, Sir Edgar's Liber Aurum was Kent's main ongoing hobby to fully restore it. It was also the only peice of his world that he had found, and his only clue on how to get back home.

"Hmmm... How much Claudia does that cost?" Dio prods the amphibian and licks his finger, mindless of how nasty that is. "You're right, it does taste like it would go woth lemon and garlic, but I think some rosemary would help it too."

"Well, I visited a sick friend of mine near the Donut Plains, took Stardust to be restinged got pulled over for FUI, flying under the influence, and am currently under house arrest in truce, I can't leave the city limits. But enough about me what about all that ghost stuff you're iunto?" Faith said to her companion.

Helios, flies in from the north, followed by the M85. "Alright, you stay here whle we go and aquire some more scrap metal." With that the little M35 flies off towards the market, leaving the larger mechon to rest in the fountain square.

The fisher serpent tilted his head as he continued to hold the water pokemon "Claw-di-a?... What is that? We used to use bits of precious coral back home, but here it is all gold and silver that rules the marketplace." Fiszeradin tilted his head the other way "Have you got any of that maybe?" he smiles softly, though his shark-like teeth can easily be seen beyond his lips.

Mula comes from the south, carrying a few bags in her hands. Seeing the M85, she casually scampers up, rapping on the M85's back with her knuckles to announce her presense. "Hey, you big lug! I got you some seeds!" She says, with a soft smile as she looks around and sees that Helios is absent.

Dio shakes his head, pulling out some of the glowing mineral to show Fiszeradin. "Nope, all I have is Claudia. All this gold and silver as money nonsense is just confusing, in my opinion." He tosses the chunk of Claudia from one hand to the other. "You sure you can't make an exception?"

Hastur chuckles a bit, nodding. "Well, there can be a good bit of fun found in the city, if you look for it. As for what I've been up to... well, it was a lot of diplomatic relations with a guy forced into the body of a monster and a bunch of boos. Kinda boring, really. I'm glad to be out of the manor and here, relaxing and talking to my friend." He smiles and takes a long swig from his sake. By now, his cheeks are beginning to get a little flushed due to the strong rice wine.

Kent smiled as he finished the page. He placed the clipboard and book in a satchel by his side and stood up. He was restless after a day of nearly nothing to do, and he had an idea. "Alright, any of you up to a quick duel? Safe, to the first blood, loser buys the winner drinks at the bar." Kent unsheathed his sword as he looked around the square smuggly. "I won't tell people that you lost."

"Aww, I'm flattered." Faith's ears perked up at the prospect of a free drink, and poked Hastur in the ribs, "Hey big guy, go teach that knight a thing or two, and most of all go get some free drinks."

The M85 whirls around and lunges at the attac- Oh, it's Mula. It turns the lunge into a giant hug, chirping a happy greeting. After a moment, it lets go and pulls out it's chalk. [Yay! What kinds do you have?]

Fiszeradin gave a short hiss of a laugh "I cannot make an exception, I would not even know what to do with whatever that rock is." he continued to smile as he handed the slightly wet aquatic corpse to the man "No charge. I do not really sell here for the money in any case. I get plenty acting as a supplier, but there are a few things they just will not take."

Hastur smirks and nods, standing up from his seat and cracking his knuckles. "Hope you enjoy the show, Faith." He walks out to stand opposite Kent, bowing low to his opponents. "I'll duel you, sir knight. Don't worry, my fists and my feet will act as my weaponry for this match." He then drops into his Wing Chun stance, smiling at his opponent.

Faith smiled at her friend, it was good for him to get out his stress, and fighting was a good medium, she made her way to stand on the fountain's rim, "ALRIGHT, I will act as referee to this fine matchup; In this corner, weighing at a lot and wielding a sword, This... Guy; And in this corner weighing even more, Is Hastur."

Kent tucked his necklace under his shirt and took a bow as well. It was rare to find someone who fought with respect towards their opponant. "Unarmed? Well..." Kent swtiched his sword to his left hand and pointed it at Hastur, one foot forward pointing at the Giaganto, another pointed outwards to keep balance. The fact that Kent was able to keep a fencing position with a broadsword was an impressive sight. "En gaurde." (c)

As soon as Faith introduced them Kent scanned his foe's position. The stance seemed defencive, waiting for the oppontant to make the first strike. Kent smiled, deciding it would be fun to watch him cut his palms against the sword, and jumped forward with and upward slash, aimed the graze his arm.

Faith looked intently at the two, she knew Hastur could fight, and fight hard, but this knight guy was no pushover by the looks of it. She hoped that the two would restrain themselves to first blood.

"Well, that's very kind of you." Dio takes the dead poliwag and slings it over his shoulder. "This should make a tasty dinner over an open fire, I think."

Mula holds up the bags and counts them, one by one: "Let's see here...I got some purple ones, some white ones, a pretty red one, and a few yellow ones!" Holding them up, the M85 can see that the purple ones are Lilacs, the white ones are dasies, the red one is a rose, and the yellow ones are daffodils

(Helios) The M85 nods as it looks over the bags. [Thanks! I was running out of daffodils, a friend of mine keeps eating them.] The mechon playfully nudges Mula. [And I didn't have any lilacs, so those should make a nice addition!]

"Not a problem, but you should try to get some more conventional method of payment." Fiszeradin chuckled as he slithered over to lean on the bulletin board, nonchalantly watching the fight over it with rapt attention.

Hastur moves backwards quickly, even quicker than most would guess he could for his size. His right foot remains planted firmly on the ground, acting as a pivot as he begins to turn. He lifts his left leg as he turns, his heel moving towards Kent's jaw at great speed as he begins to come back to his initial position.

Meandering in from the south, Demonicor looked haggered, wearing his hair long again, the hood of his green cloak down. He looked somewhat irritated about something, though the look quickly turned to curiosity as he saw the fight, moving to watch with the rest of the small crowd.

Mula giggles and blushes a little bit, a splash of red against a sea of white. "You know that I eat them!" She says, as she squirms a little bit. "However, you're welcome." She says as she takes a seat beside the M85 and sets the bag down at it's feet...or, well, what passes for feet for a mechon.

"Well, nobody wants to exchange my Claudia for the currency in this silly money system. What else am I supposed to do?" Dio walks over and sits in front of the sign, also watching the fight. "I killed one of those giant rabbit things in the woods to eat. It dropped some money when I did that, but I didn't grab it. Is that how things work here?"

Kent chuckled. He was expecting that response. He fell to the ground in a dodge, not as a move of desperation, but as a move of canculated defence. Kent stared at the foot, about to fly over his head in a split second, and pointed the tip of his sword upwards so that it might catch his leg as Hastur continued the motion.

Faith was about to cheer for her friend at winning the duel so quickly with a kick, however she paused noticing the knight drop beneath her friend's leg. Faith guessed that Hastur would be able to come back but she realized something, Hastur is at a disadvantage; his hits will bruise and it would take a lot of them to actually cause the man to bleed; whereas his sword could make him bleed with a single slice.

(Helios) The M85 chuckles and hugs Mula again. [I'm kidding. And thanks again for the seeds, I really appreiceate them.] The mechon notices Demonicor entering the square, looking rather haggard. [Huh, that's the guy who Helios talks to a lot... Wonder what's up with him.]

Fiszeradin gave a shrug as he watched the battle, turning his attention to his momentary companion "He probably thought they were shiny, and decided to grab them. Who can know the mind of ones prey." he chuckled quietly, his tails flicking back and forth in excitement as the battle continued.

Mula glances over at the man entering the square, and just shrugs as she returns the M85's hug. "Beats me. I wonder what happened to him? He looks like he has definately seen better days.." She muses as she just follows him with her eyes, but that's it.

Hastur smirks and drops his leg down quickly, narrowly missing the blade as he continues spinning. 'Finally, an opponent who knows how to combat a martial artist,' he thinks to himself as he lifts his leg up as high as he can as he comes full circle, dropping it quickly towards Kent's body like the axe of the executioner.

Faith did a mock golf clapping gesture, enjoying the display before her, she was content to sit there until an idea popped inside her head. Faith stood and cupped her hands loud so that all could hear her, "Aright I got 20 Gold on the giganto, Who want wants some of this action?"

"I suppose you're right." Dio decides not to mention the other times it's happened. "I wonder why that guy was so eager for a fight..."

"You-" Kent rolled quickly out of the way, he could hear the wind break around the Giaganto's foot as it came crashing down to Kent's previous position. "You are spectacular." Kent continued his roll motion and in mere seconds got himself back to his feet in another fencing stance. His sword switches to his dominant right hand. "When you're buying my ale, you must tell me your name!"

(Helios) [I'm sure he's fine. So, where did you get those seeds?] The M85 looks over at the fight, growling a bit at Kent. [I don't like that knight. He hurt Helios and his little friend stopped our duel.]

Mula taps her chin with a finger. "Um...somewhere south of here..I think in a small farming town. Not sure of the name, but I know it's just down the path a ways..however, not sure how well they'd take to a giant Mechon stomping in to ask for things..you are kind of...imposing." She says, as her ears perk up slightly. "The big, muscular one...or the small one who's always underfoot?" She knew neither of them.

(Helios) [The one with the sword.] The M85 growls as it entertains thoughts of finishing their duel someday. It calms down after a few moments and giving another hug to Mula. [Anyway... What do you mean, "imposing?" Little old me?] The mechon chuckles.

Hastur simply smirks and bolts towards his opponent, moving with speed none could think possible for someone of his size. He rears back and appears to be readying a punch for when he gets close enough, then suddenly begins to spin, moving around Kent's left side with great speed, then stops spinning by planting btoh feet onto the ground and tucking his arms to one side, leaning forward with his left shoulder to slam into Kent.

Kent jumped as his only response. Using the momentum that Hastur used to swing the weight of most og his body at him, Kent seemed to roll over Hastur's frame and landed behind him. He heard a popping in his shoulder, as he usually wore more protection when he tried a move like that. He checked his footing and looked back at Hastur finishing his motion. Kent tried to swing at Hastur from behind. Kent wasn't bleeding yet, but it could be told that the Knight was getting worried.

Demonicor slid his way over to one of the benches, just another part of the lively crowd, relaxing at the end of the week.

Hastur grins as Kent rolls over him. "Nicely done, sir." He turns quickly, bending backwards to avoid the blade narrowly, before quickly straightening up, both of his palms converging on Kent's temples with great speed.

"If it's all the same toOOH!" Kent barely ducked fast enough to miss the hit. That martial artist could MOVE! He quickly tucked and tumbled backwards to gain a bit of distance to plan an attack. "If it's all the same to you, I don't respond to 'sir' anymore. It's a personal thing." Kent lowered himself as he began a charge of his own towards Hastur, planning on using his free hand to uppercut the man's jaw and temporarily stun him.

(Helios) [A fairly safe assumption. I am built to look pretty imposing.] The M85 seems to preen for a moment. [Of course, the M82 is scarier than me by a long shot.] The M85 hugged Mula again, looking a little nervous at the memory of the other mechon.

Fiszeradin looked down at the man he helped "That is what I did. I found a niche, and I filled it. Maybe you can find something unique?" he began to lightly hum as he looked on at the fight.

Mula pats the M85 on the back and stands up. "Well, big guy, I have to be going. I came into town to see if you were around to give you these seeds I had. If not, you would've got them at your doorstep. Either way, there you go, and have a good rest of your day!" She says, with a cute little smile, as she scampers towards the south gate and exits Truce once more.

Hastur smirks and shoots his left leg out at his charging opponent, aiming to hit him right in the middle of his chest.

Kent took the kick right in the chest and was launched backwards onto his ass. He coughed as he got back up in an effort to keep up his assualt. "It's going to," That cough sounded like it HURT, "...to take more than that to take down a demon hunter, kid!" Kent held his sword with both his hands, ran forward, and swang the arm as hard as he could as Hastur's torso. He wasn't planning on killing him, but he knew he could fight as hard as he wanted before Hastur began to tire and he had to let back.

"Yeah, I'll go and have a look around for something to do." Dio begins walking away. "Thanks for the advice!" With that, he strolls back west to his vanship.

Faith was a bit bummed for no luck on her get rich quick scheme of betting on Hastur, but there would be other chances for quick cash, She looked back to the fight to see the man getting up, Hastur must have knocked him down she deduced. SHe cheered for her friend's victory

The M85 waves goobye to Mula as she scampers off before turning and putting all of the seed bags into it's storage compartment. "There you are, M85. We need you to carry the scrap metal we aquired back to the ship." Helios calls out as he flies in, passing Dio. The M85 nods and follows Helios back west to get the materials.

Hastur takes a step back, avoiding the blade with a smirk. "I know. And here it is, old man!" He launches forward, his knee up to slam into Kent's chest and his elbow moving down to hit his forehead.

That. That... hurt. Hastur's move landed almost perfectly, striking Kent in two boney, vulnerable areas. He jumped back a moment, stretched his neck, spat at the iron taste in his mouth. Wait. Iron. Kent tooked at the ground, Kent had spat up a bit of blood from that last hit. He sheathed his sword and rubbed his shoulder a bit. "Well, that's going to leave a few bruises, isn't it?" Kent smiled at Hastur. "Looks like you won. You going to give me your name as I buy you a round?"

Hastur smils and stands up straight, his muscles relaxing. He walks over and holds his hand out to Kent. "I'm Hastur. Hastur Xel'lotath. And the stuff I like isn't made around here, but you can buy my friend a drink." He waves to Faith, motioning her over.

Faith was grinning like a madman at Hastur's victory. House arrest be damned, this was a celebration. She walked over to the duo, she extended her hand to the man, "Faith. One hell of a fight you put up ther friend. If you're that badly banged up, I can take you to a friend of mine, he'll patch you up for cheaps." Faith put her arm around the both men's necks, "SO WHich one of you is buying the nice lady a drink Huh?"

Hastur grins and puts his arm around Faith's neck. "Well, the loser, for one, because he has to. And me, for the second, because I want to." He smiles and gives Faith a wink.

Fiszeradin smiled as he turned away from the finished fight, picking up the reins to his fish sled and pulling it slowly out of town.

Kent looked at the... that was a woman, right? "That wasn't the deal, but I'll throw in a few silver since you won." Kent motioned out of Faith's reach when she tried to cling onto him, letting her focus on the tall giaganto instead. "And, I'll sit around and buy you guys a round. But, I see you're a bit of an object, so I'll just be there to hand the bartender the tab and be on my merry way." Kent made sure to grab his book before heading south with them. "I have a book to bind, anyway."

" Well then, looks like I'll be playing the role of a fish tonite. " with one last laugh, Faith, Hastur, and their new friend headed toward the local pub.
