"I really appreiceate you guys coming out here to help me like this. It's right over there there." Dio pointed to a hill about a half mile away from the highway with something imbedded in the hillside. "I just can't get it out myself with only a wrench."

Hastur looked over at the hill, a smirk on his face. He cracks his knuckles and pops the joints in his arms. "It's no trouble, sir. We'll get your vehicle out of that hill in a flash." He began walking over to the hill, a confident smirk on his face.

Trixie chuckled as she followed after the confident giganto, giving a smirk "Sure, and I'll carry you back to the mansion when you throw your back out."

"Yes, just be careful. I don't want to have to try and put two halves back together." Dio chuckles nervously.

Hastur smirks and winks back at the pony, then nods at Dio. "I'll make sure not to break it, sir." As he approaches the vehicle, he examines it for a place to get a good hold and pull to get it out of the hill.

Trixie mutters to herself "Well, looks like no van or ship I've ever seen." her horn glowed magenta, as well as one of the rear engines as she tried to pull on the vehicle "Y'know, it probably would have been faster just tear it down to get it out than to look for help."

Hastur grins and snickers. "But then there wouldn't be a challenge, now would there?" He winks at Trixie and gets as good a hold as he can on one of the engines, pulling with only a bit of his strength, testing to see if it budges or if the engine might come off.

"Ack, don't pull on those! You might break the engine." Dio points to the rim of the copilot's seat. "Try pulling there."

Hastur lets go of the engine and gets a grip on the area Dio pointed out, pulling with only a bit of his strength, gradually pulling with more strength until he is pulling with nearly all of his strength.

"It would probably be easier to get it out after a storm, but as we don't know any meteorologists.." Trixie tries a different tactic, moving around the vehicle and climbing the hill, drawing a brass bowl from her cape and setting it tilted on the hill "Hold on a moment, lets test something." water began to pool in the bowl, flowing over in rivulets along the hill, trailing across the wings and soaking into the soil.

Hastur stops pulling and waits for Trixie to try her idea, sweat beginning to form across his forehead.

"That could work..." Dio watches as Trixie moistens the dirt for several minutes. "Ok, now let's try again!" He grabs the other side of the vanship, waiting for Hastur to begin pulling again so they can work together.

Trixie continues letting the water run down the hill across the front of the ship, the aura her horn darkening as she does so, attempting to shift some of the dirt as well.

Hastur nods and begins pulling again, building up his strength again until he is pulling with all of his might.

A minute goes by before the vanship begins to move out of the hill with a muddy sucking noise. The ship abruptly jerks backwards, the suction from the mud broken, and slides out of the hole to reveal a filthy, smashed in fromt panel and two clogged gun barrels. The front wheels are also bent.

Hastur lets go of the vanship, his breathing a bit heavy now. "There we go. Hmm... not in the best shape, but that's to be expected." He thinks for a second, then turns to Trixie. "Do you think that Launchpad or Helios might be able to do something to help him fix this?"

Trixie gave a yelp as her concentration was broken by the shifting hill, stepping backward as her bowl slipped down into the muddy hole. Panting as she slumped down on top of the hill.

"Oh, thank you! Now I can check the engine." Dio grabs the wrench from the copilot's seat again and hurries to the fully uncovered side panel, opening it a moment later and peering inside before looking up at the exhausted showmare. "Hmmm... Oh, are you alright Ms. Trixie?" He reaches inside with the wrench and begins adjusting something while he talks.

Hastur walks quickly to his friend's side and kneels down. "That was a great idea, Trixie. It worked like a charm. Are you gonna be okay?"

Trixie nods as she continues to pant, waving off the concern "I'll be fine... guess the show just took a bit more out of Trixie than expected."

"Well, good news. The engine seens relatively undamaged, so I should be able to start it up. It it works, I can give you a ride back to the town." Dio closed the side panel and jumped up into the pilot seat, fiddling with some of the controls.

Hastur looks at Trixie, not convinced. "Apparently, and then doing all of this... you need to rest." He then turns to Dio and nods. "Thank you, sir. I think we'll be needing that ride." He then turns back to his showmare friend and begins to pick her up. "Now, no trying to convince me you're fine. You're not. Don't worry, I'll be careful with ya. Just try to get some rest and leave transporting you to me and the other gentleman, okay?"

Trixie grumbles and buries her snout against Hastur's shoulder "Fine, but Trixie doesn't have to like it" she continues to lightly pant as she rests in his arms.

After a long moment, the vanship coughs and chugs before settling into a steady hum. Dio hops out of the seat and pulls out a small glass vial with some sort of glowing blue sphere floating in water in it. He holds it up to the spherical antigravity thruster on the port side, watching the little blue bobber inside the vial shift around. He repeats the process with the starboard thruster before standing up. "Oh, good. Now to check the Claudia levels..." He climbs up into the copilot's seat and examines some of the tubes there.

Hastur carries Trixie gingerly, making sure she's able to rest as comfortably as she can. "Will it fly and be able to fit the two of us? If not, just take her. I'll walk back."

Hastur nods and jumps into the seat, making sure to not disturb Trixie as she rests.

Trixie mutters something about wheels as she falls into unconsciousness, snuggling in closer to Haster.

The vanship hovers up into the air, slowly turning in the direction of Viorar. "We shold be there shortly." Dio's voice echos out of the previously unnoticed speaking tube. The vanship begins flying in the direction of Viorar.

Hastur nods, keeping a tight hold on Trixie so as to not drop her or permit the movement of the ship to disturb her.

After a short flight, the vanship touched down at the Viorar fountain. "Well, here we are!" Dio hops out of the pilot seat. "Did you two have a nice flight?" He opens up a small storage compartment behind the pilot seat and pulls out a device that seems to have a tube bent in a circle in it. "Did you all need me to fly you all anywhere else?"

Hastur nods, still holding Trixie. "It went without any problems. Hrmmm... Do you think you could take us to Shrike? we have a manor there where we stay with our group, the Paranormal Deliverance Force. If you could fly us there, that would be great. You could probably stay with us there. We might even be able to convince the others to allow you to join us. You seem to be good with tech, and we need more people like ya."

"Sure thing, as long as you don't mind pointing it out on a map." Dio heads over to the fountain, filling the tube of the device with water before searching his pockets. "Ah... Blast. Could you get some of the Claudia and the starter plug out of the storage compartment up there for me? I need to make more fuel to get farther."

Hastur nods and searches through the mentioned apartment, taking the things Dio needed. He then hops down and walks over to Dio, handing the items to him, Trixie still curled up in his arms.

"Thanks." Dio drops the oddly glowing rocks -Claudia ore- and drops them into the tube. He puts the seal on and sets the device on the ground, inserting the starting plug. He gives it a turn and the tube begins to spin rapidly, the glowing rocks slowly disintegrating and diffusing through the water. "Just let me finish refueling and we can be on our way."

Hastur nods and turns back to the ship, jumping into the seat and waiting for the trip to continue, keeping Trixie held in his arms.

Dio climbs up onto the vanship and pours the newly-created liquid Claudia into the fuel line, replacing the spinner device to the storage compartment. "Alright, so where is this Shrike place?" Dio looks around at the dark skyline, silently cursing the fact that the headlights didn't make it through the crash.

Hastur pulls out a map and pencil from his backpack, and marks where the manor is on it. He then passes the map to Dio. "Here it is. There should be a pad for you to set the ship down on."

"Hmm... No air currents marked. Ah well, I can make do." Dio hops into the pilot seat and starts the vanship, lifting off a moment later. "I'm going to go around this mountain here. It'll be longer, but none of you all have cold weather gear so I can't take you up too high." He pulled off the flight goggles and touched the collar of his robes, causing an odd helmet to pop up and surround his head. "Here, you can use these." Dio tossed the goggles back to Hastur.

Hastur catches the goggles, then looks at them. He then looks at Trixie. He thinks for a moment, then carefully puts the goggles around Trixie's eyes, deciding to simply put on the cloak from his backpack, a disgusting bright yellow, with a hood that, when pulled up, covers his face, disappearing into a black void.

Trixie mutters in her unconsciousness as the goggles slip around her head, but settles back down fairly quickly.

The vanship flies off towards the mountains, making good time across the fields below. "Are we still on the right heading?" Dio's voice echoes through the speaking pipe.

Hastur pulls his hood back a bit so his face isn't completely covered, then nods. "I believe so. At ths rate, we should be there in no time." He then looks down at Trixie, then takes his cloak off and drapes it around her, ensuring she's warm.

"Oh, good." Dio dosent say anything else, prefering to enjoy the sensation of flying for the moment. He begins to hum to himself as the mountain grows closer and closer, banking slightly so that he can prepare to turn around the mountain.

Trixie groans as she shuffles about in Hastur's arms, slowly waking with the movement of the ship.

Hastur smiles down at the little pony in his arms. "Hello, Trixie. Did you have a nice nap? We'll be back in Shrike, soon. Mr. Dio was kind enough to give us a lift."

"Huh, wha?" Trixie muttered as she opened her eyes. She gave a small yell, looking about and trying to scramble about at first, though settles down after a moment "Situational warning would be nice!"

Hastur chuckles at Trixie, then nods. "Sorry, Trixie. You were worn out, so I asked if he could give us a lift in his machine, and he agreed. After refueling at Viorar, here we are, flying to the manor. I'm sorry that it startled you."

"Oh, Is she waking up? How is she enjoying the flight?" Dio's voice echoes through the pipe with a bit of a tinny quality. The vanship shudders as it flies through some turbulence, bouncing it's passengers around. "Oops, sorry!"

Hastur braces as the turbulence hit, trying to keep Trixie as still as possible so that she doesn't get hurt from bouncing around.

Trixie gave another small yell, wrapping her hooves around one of Hastur's arms "Be careful! Trixie would rather not have to try defying gravity!"

Hastur chuckles and smirks at Trixie.

Dio's voice echoes out of the tube again. "It looks like we are just about past the mountain. How far away from is Shrike from here, would you say? That map didn't have distances marked on it." The vanship zooms past the mountain, now surrounded by open air on almost every side.

Hastur shakes his head. "Not an expert on distances, sir. What do you think, Trixie? I wouldn't think it would be too far, would you?"

Trixie scoffs as she settles back down again... kinda "Just how is Trixie supposed to know that? Trixie probably hasn't been here here for more than two months!" she gave a huff "Trixie never even saw the map of... wherever we are."

"You don't make for a very good navigator, you know." Dio sighs and accelerates the vanship. He looks around at the forested ground below. "Can you at least tell me how the Claudia levels are? Look at those three tubes on your dashboard."

Hastur looks at the tubes on the dashboard. "They appear to be nearly five-sixths full, sir."

"Good, we won't need to stop for fuel for a while yet. Let me know when you see any familliar landmarks that we can stop at, though." Dio falls silent again. After a while of staring out at the sky, he begins to sing softly, though the words are almost lost to the wind streaming past. "Hey there, it's your birthday, get happy..."

Hastur looks out to the ground, scanning for landmarks.

While scanning the horizon for markings, something clicks in Trixie's mind, and she points with a hoof at a spot off to the west "Hey, does that spire thing over there look familiar?"

Hastur looks in the direction Trixie indicates, and smiles. "Hey, that's the rocket! Over in Rocket Town!"

"A rocket? I don- Oh, there it is." Dio banks the vanship towards it. "Huh... Looks like a Disith Migration Capsule. Does it work, because those things sure didn't." The vanship begins dropping altitude so Dio can get a better look at it.

Trixie looks back and forth between Hastur and the rocket in surprise, before focusing on the giganto holding her "That thing is a rocket? How is it even supposed to get off the ground?"

Hastur smirks at the pony. "The rocket has these huge boosters attached to it, fueled by gallons of high octane fuel, to propel it into the air, into space. It will not explode into colorful sparks, but will orbit around the planet."

"High octane? Is that some sort of really refined liquid Claudia?" Dio flies the vanship around the town once before continuing east. "Yeah, the Disith Migration capsules looked a lot like that. Too bad they all blew up on the launchpad." He snickers quietly.

Trixie shakes her head with a grumble "Trixie knows how a rocket works, but... it's such a large thing, how can that thing actually fly!?!"

Hastur smirks. "It doesn't so much fly, as just get launched into space with great force, where it will just... orbit, in space."

"Do you see any more familliar landmarks around here?" Dio calls through the speaking tube as they fly past a tower in the woods.

Hastur looks around, scanning. "Well, by the look of the environment, we should be closing in on Truce."

"And Truce is on the way to Shrike, right?" Dio sits up a bit more to get a look at the approaching town before slowing the vanship down. "Well, either way, we can stop there for a bit of you all want."

Hastur shrugs. "I'm fine with whatever the lady decides." He smiles at Trixie.

Trixie looks around at the surroundings "From what Trixie recalls, it would probably be easiest to land to the south, near the fields. Lots of open space."

Hastur nods. "Well, then, perhaps we should land for a bit. Give us time to stretch our legs before heading on to Shrike."

Dio guides the vanship in for a landing near the spot Trixie indicated. "Alright, We will stop here for a while before continuing on to wherever Shrike is." He deactivates his helmet and hops out of the pilot seat. "Ah, grassy fields. How quaint."

Hastur hops out of his seat, setting Trixie down carefully. He smiles and stretches his arms and legs, popping his stiff joints. "Ah...I'll admit, my limbs were stiff from sitting down for so long." He walks around, twisting and stretching his back.

Trixie bends down and stretches her back and legs before starting to trot about with an odd gait "I think one of Trixie's hooves fell asleep..."

Hastur chuckles. "That'll happen after such a long time of inactivity. It'll wake back up soon."

Dio walks over to them. "How are you all enjoying the flight? It's nice to see everything from above, isn't it?"

Hastur smiles at Dio and nods. "It's certainly nice to have a different perspective. I've only ever flown once before, but nothing like this." He smiles and turns to Trixie. "How're you enjoying the flight, Trixie?"

Trixie stops and pulls off the goggles, tossing them over to Hastur as a string of beads flows from her cape "Trixie is fine with anything that doesn't have wheels." the beads flow into a set of goggles, ice holding them together and forming the lenses, stopping dead in her tracks as she looks at the vehicle again "... it has wheels..."

Hastur catches the goggles and hands them to Dio, then walks over to Trixie and drops a little glass ball in front of her. He begins to swing it back and forth.

"Well, yeah. How else would it land?" Dio takes the goggles and hangs them back around his neck. "Did you expect it to just flop down?"

Hastur then begins speaking in a low, droning voice. "Focus on the ball. Keep your eyes on it." He wait s moment, then speaks again. "You're getting sleepy. Extremely so. When I snap my fingers, you will fall asleep. When I snap them again, you will awaken. Aaaaand.... sleep!" He snaps his fingers, giving off a loud, resounding sound, more so than any snap should sound.

Trixie brushes the ball aside with a hoof and scoffs as she walks past "Trixie is a showmare, so what you're trying to do, it won't work on Trixie." she walks past Hastur toward the town.

Hastur shrugs. "It was worth a shot."

Dio chuckles. "Nice try, though." He hurries after Trixie. "So, do they sell any world maps here?"

Hastur shrugs and puts the chain back in his backpack. He follows after Dio and Trixie, a smile on his face. "With all of the shops, I would think there would be a shop that sells world maps. Probably ones with information about air currents and such."

Trixie flicks her tail as she walks on "Trixie is unsure about 'world' maps, but theres a freaky little man in green spandex who swears he's a fairy" she rolls her eyes, passing under the south gate "He also keeps trying to sell Trixie a map every sigle visit."

"Oh, I'm sure he isn't that bad. He probably has the maps that I need anyway." Dio nods back at Hastur. "If this guy dosen't have it we can check around the town."

Hastur nods and whistles as he walks, stretching his back and pooping several vertebrae. "I know that guy. He'll probably have what you need. I'll help ya pay for the maps if you can't do it alone."

"Claudia isn't a currency here, is it? Hmmm..." Dio pulls a chunk of the mineral out of his robes and frowns at it. "Yes, I'm probably going to need some help with money."

Trixie continues past the travel shop as she makes toward the docks "It's a fair certainty they have a sea chart over in the ticket booth at least."

Hastur chuckles and pulls out his coin pouch. "Don't worry, sir. We'll help ya get straightened out with the new currency and such."

"Oh, goodie!" Dio heads over to check the travel shop first, looking at all the different map types they have on display. He pulls out one displaying the countryside west of the city and looks at it for a moment before sighing. "This one will have to do, all the others aren't the right type. We will probably have to stop at thet ticket booth to see the map of the sea." He blinks for a moment before snickering at the unintentional rhyme.

Hastur smirks and nods. "Alrighty then. Let's go." He goes to the entrance of the store and waits, holding the door open for Dio.

"Right, let's go to the ticket booth thet Trixie mentioned..." Dio folds the now-paid for map and sticks it into his robes. He exits the shop and looks around the area. "Ah, where is it exactly?"

Hastur chuckles and follows Dio out, beckoning him to follow. "This way, sir." He then begins to walk in the direction of the docks.

Trixie is already down near the docks by the time Dio gets his map, setting a few coins on the counter "Right, Trixie will see about asking him if this isn't enough." she begins making her way back toward the two males, a slip of paper sliding under her cloak as she holds out the map yoward them "Here, this is a chart showing the routes the ferry takes, complete with cartoony islands and giant versions of landmarks."

Dio takes the map and looks at it. "This... Oh, whatever. It's better than nothing." He looks at Hastur and Trixie again. "Well, I guess we should be off." Dio turns and begins heading south to his vanship

Hastur nods and looks at Trixie. "Coming, Trixie? Or are you going to be taking the ferry back? I know you don't trust wheels..."

Trixie looks somewhat guilty and torn, trotting in place nervously "It doesn't use them for flight... right?"

Hastur smiles warmly and shakes his head. "No, it doesn't. Just to land. Better than crashing, right?" He kneels down to the pony, still smiling. "If it makes you really uncomfortable, then just take the ferry. I'm sure our gracious pilot wouldn't want you to be uncomfortable during the trip."

"No, they are just for landing on and taking off. The Claudia engine is what grants flight." Dio looks over at Trixie, his eyes narrowing. "The wheels can't do much else aside from lower the airspeed with drag. Why do you ask?"

Trixie looks off to the side and mutters under her breath "Trixie does not trust wheels..." she looks back up, the conflict sill in her eyes "It is fine, Trixie already bought a ticket anyways." she nods to Hastur, then at you "We shall see each other once again at the mansion."

"Well, ok then. I'm heading back to the vanship." With a shrug, Dio turned and walked south towards his fighter.

Hastur smiles and nods at Trixie, giving her a tight hug. "Alright, Trixie. Hope you have a good trip. Stay safe!" He pulls back from the embrace and stands, giving her a smile and a wave as he heads back with Dio to the ship.

Trixie hugs Hastur back as best she can, before turning to the ferry, drawing out her ticket to Shrike.

Once the two of them reach the vanship, Dio turns and looks at Hastur. "Well, this shouldn't be too long of a flight. Even with how horribly inaccurate this map is I can tell it shouldnt be too long of a flight. Hop in." Dio climbs up into the pilot seat and starts the engine once again.

Hastur hauls himself into his seat, crossing his arms and trying to get comfortable.

Dio looks back at Hastur. "All settled in? Good, lets get going." The vanship flies up into the sky and turns east, bound for Shrike and the manor.
