Most of the restraunt's tables were reserved for members of the Paranormal Deliverance Force. At the head of a long table sat Oboyo, ringing his spoon on his glass and causing the sound to echo across the area.

"If I can get everyone's attention, please! Before we begin, despite the fact that you guys crashed my house while I was gone, I am proud of your recent efforts. Our name has begun to spread far and every day more people show up willing to stand up to this inevitable invasion. We have each taken on a difficult task, but fate has given us no other choice. It's for that reason, along with the fact that my house smells like a skunk right now, that I've invited you all here to take a break. That said, enjoy and relax!" said Oboyo, grabbing his glass to take a drink.

As she raises her own glass in a toast, Twilight Sparkle nods in agreement to Oboyo's statement, before taking a hearty sip of her drink.

Gizmo, wearing her usual fez and blackened armor, sits at one of the unreserved tables casually leaned back and nursing a drink. The entertainment was in full swing tonight, with some show about an invasion. She'd have to commend the restuarant on the method actors they found.

Mekis stood upon one of the tables, taking some advantage of their leader's kindness. The spread wasn't varied, but there seemed to be plenty for everyone. Esteban sat on the ground, eating some strange dish that the staff had suggested for the bird.

"Man, nothing like starting off a new job with a cushy vacation!" Jeffery took a bite of his food. "Ah, this is delicious!" He looks around the table, seeing what everyone else bought and figuring out what the bill should be based on how expensive things look.

Julexa darts her eyes back and forth. Seeing the glass before her, she tries to raise it--but, disaster strikes! The glass tips backwards, showering the small Pichu in a small waterfall of Bubbly. Sputering and coughing, she looks like a drowned rat sitting on the table, an attendant walks by and quickly wipes the Pichu down.

Sitting at a nearby table reading from his texts, sat a hooded man, hearing the ringing of glass, Roche looks to the table of the 'odd" assortment of restaraunt patrons, intrigued he puts his book down and focusses his attention on the group.

Jax kicks her legs as she sits down at one of the tables, hugging her little puppy up to her chest. What an exausting time it had been, following these people around, not with much secrecy. The ponies interested her quite a bit, and without a home to speak of there was nothing better to do than examine this odd bunch.

"Twilight, what are we supposed to do?" Helios looks around from where he is sitting next to her. "We haven't been on one of these 'vacation' things before..."

Trixie had a small plate of oysters before her, poking one with her forehoof before shoving the plate away and signaling for a waiter "Excuse me, but Trixie requires something a little less... plain to eat. Perhaps some shrimp with a side of garlic and butter cream sauce." she hadn't bothered to remove her starry cloak, and drew a small coin from it to twirl and rotate in the air.

The establishment had three floors. The first floor is where patrons check in, the second floor is the cafe, and the third floor leads to a series of rooms to stay for the night. Amidst the crowd's chattering, a red kirby barrels down the stairs leading to the third floor screaming "Ahhh! This place is haunted!" before disappearing into the stairs leading to the first floor.

A man wearing a turban followed behind him, desperate to salvage the situation. "Wait, sir! Please! It was simply a erm..feature of our inn! Come back!" Oboyo seemed to groan at that. "So much for a vacation.."

Trixie dropped the shrimp she had just lifted back to her plate, still coated in the cream sauce "So much for dinner too..." she dumped the shrimp into the sauce as she stood, hoofing slowly past the panicked customers toward the stairs.

"A ghost? Isnt this what we are supposed to deal with?" Jeffery begins trying to figure out if they might be able to get a discount for getting rid of a ghost for the resturant. "Oh, wait for me!" He grabbed his briefcase and dashed after the pony that just left.

Gizmo eyes the red kirby with amusement. A nagging part of her brain was saying that maybe this wasn't a show. She contemplate drowing that in booze, before putting the glass down, grabbing her shishkebab, and following the others.

Apruptly standing, Roche looks to th kirby with some manner of skepticism. "What in Lord's name was that fellow speaking of?" Looking to the table of misfits as Roche had taken to calling them he looked to see them leaving towards the stairs, curiosity and a snese of responsibility coming over him he makes his way to the stairs, after paying his tip.

Jax blinks a bit as Scruffles wiggles his way from her hands, barking loudly. She blinks a bit and stands herself up, following Scruffles as he runs off in the direction of the ghost. She starts clapping a bit to get Scruffles' attention, and he slows down, waiting for her to catch up, before running off again.

The shouts of distress made Mekis smile, because now there was something to battle. He pulled out his shortsword and shouted "Take me to the beast so I may have some glory." Mekis jumped down and went to the man in the turban. "So where is it?" Esteban simply followed, dissapointed he couldn't finish the meal.

For her part, Twilight Sparkle is looking up from her drink, and promptly facehooving in irritation. "Even when I want to relax, these things just DON'T stop happening..." With a sigh, however, she's moving out from her seat, horn lighting up.

"Well, we wern't doing anything anyway." Helios hovers over to Oboyo. "So, do all of your vacations end up like this?"

Julexa blinks. Oh great...so much for a vacation. The Pichu glances over at the others and slides down a leg of the table and scampers over to Oboyo and Helios.

"Oh..oh dear..we're ruined!" whined the man wearing a turbin to himself as Oboyo excused himself from the table to approach him..along with pretty much everyone else. "They will now." he muttered towards Helios before speaking to the man. "Relax, sir. It just so happens that we're a group that's..sort of into ghosts. What can you tell us?"

The turban man seemed shocked, but he pulled himself together to answer the question. "Well, it all started last week Mr. Basketfish first checked in. He paid for two weeks in advance with an expensive blue stone. Since then, we've randomly been seeing this individual wearing bronze armor fading in and out. That's..all I know, really. Please, if you and your friends can get rid of it, your stay will be in the house!"

Oboyo raised a hand to his goatee and turned to the others. "Well..it doesn't sound like a dangerous ghost if it's been here a week, but who knows now that we're here? Stay on your guard everyone and split up. Egon's asleep upstairs, some of you go and grab some trackers from his room."
With that, Oboyo then turned to the rest of the patrons not part of his group. "Don't worry! It was probably just a prank! Please, don't let this disturb your evenings. My friends and I will look into this."

Helios chuckled. "Right, we will go and get the trackers, the rest of you go and take a look around up there." Helios flew up the steps and out of sight.

Gizmo swaps her fez out for a detective's deerstalker and approaches the turban man "Ok, first things first I'd like to investigate the jewel. It's possible the jewel may be haunted, or that someone is staging an elaborate hoax to steal it, as the hauntings started upon receiving the gem."

Trixie climbed the stairs with an annoyed flick of her tail "Harmless or dangerous, real or hoax, its presence has ruining the dinner the dinner of The Great and Powerful Trixie, it will learn the error of its ways soon enough." she drew many silvers and a few vials from her cloak.

Walking over to the groups leader, Roche bows slightly in respect and extends his hand, " Roche. i would like to help you and your troupe of ghost... er enthusiasts, Lord knows i will not be able to sleep tonight, with the ruckus around here otherwise."

Mekis found technology less than agreeable. As such, he decided to search the halls blindly for this supposed iron suit. How he would fight was another matter. One he'd think on when he found it. "Come Esteban! Let us go to battle." Mekis climbed the steps quickly, Esteban waddling after him. Esteban was not feeling as enthusiastic as his master.

Scruffles sniffs around the area, trotting over to Oboyo, staring up at him. Jax runs after her dog, giving him a reprimand with a few gentle swats to the side, picking him up. She stares at Oboyo for a moment, then reaches out to lightly tug on his coat, reading the lips of the strange priest nearby. Ghosts? Ghosts around here? That would make sense, these people do talk about ghosts sometimes.

"What's all that stuff for?" Jeffery finally caught up to the irritated blue pony and walked beside her.

Julexa scampers along beside Trixie and Jeffery, just following along. She peeks into a few open roomsa to see if anything was in there, however, most of them were empty, to herdismay. She then turns around and tries to catch up to the other, repeating this every so often.

The turban man glanced over the armored moogle for a second, pondering whether or not he should show her the jewel. "Well..I suppose it wouldn't hurt. Karl! Bring the Stardrop Sapphire, will you?" shouted the man to another downstairs. A second later, a second man wearing a turban danced in holding the sapphire in a wodden box.
Oboyo shook the priest's hand and nodded. As much as he didn't want to get others involved, he had to remember that fate had a way of sending him help when it was needed. "Very well then, Roche. But if things get dangerous, be careful." Oboyo then glanced towards Jax and smiled at her. "Don't worry, everything will be fine. You should stick with Twilight or Trixie, they'll keep you safe just in case."

Egon was alone in his room, staring at a picture of a woman wearing glasses. As he heard a noise coming from his door, he sighed and put the picture away. "Coming." he said simply as he opened the door.

"Fear not, I have protection from powers much greater than that of ghosts." With that said, Roche pulls his text from his vest pocket and proceeds down a hallway muttering verses to himself as he wanders the premices.

Helios nods as Egon opened the door. "Ah, good. You're awake, we have another ghost apperance. Could you grab some trackers and come with us?" He waited at the door for Egon to grab them.

Gizmo looks over the sapphire, making a mental note not to make plans even while buzzed. She hadn't quite considered what she'd do once she was actually looking at it. If she still had her visor she'd be able to scan it but... well, that was a long ways away. She settled for taking out a small quartz crystal and focusing on it to sense elemental energy.

Jax nods at Oboyo and sets down Scruffles, making a few motions and clapping, before walking off quickly. Scruffles stays right at her side as she attempts to follow Twilight Sparkle, not entirely sure of what to do. Ghosts were definitely not her forte, but Scruffles would protect her, he is a strong, powerful corgi with the ferocity of some scary thing she has never heard of before, but it is definitely scary.

Trixie lowered her silvers and vials with a sigh, staring back at the stairs with a forlorn look on her face "Perhaps we should have asked which room the kirby was in... or at least brought our food along for the search."

Julexa peeks up. "Pichu pi?("Where are we going?")" She asks Trixie and Jeffery as they stood near the steps and she sits down

The halls were silent, but Mekis was not bothered. His enthusiasm held fast as he continued. A being made of bronze, or copper, or whatever it was, was certain to drop something nice to be put on the mantel. Esteban made certain to watch their backs, knowing his master wouldn't. Both a terrible and wonderful quality, Mekis, always kept his eyes forward, unafraid of what dangermay lay ahead.

Trixie blinked as the pokemon spoke up, shaking her head with a sigh "I know some of the others understand you, but Trixie still hasn't got a clue what you just said. she turned to Jeffry "Any ideas on what this..." she waved around her hoof as she looked for a word "yellow mouse wants from us?"

"Hmmm... Yeah, we did kinda rush away from there." Jeffery looks down and notices the little pichu as she talks. "Oh, thats just the cutest thing." He picks her up and scratches her behind the ears as he looks over at Trixie. "I haven't the foggiest idea, sorry." He smiles brightly.

"Well, at least I can put my skills to good use..." With a deep breath, Twilight Sparkle moves in front of Jax, horn glowing in case she needs to use her magic.

Egon sighed as he reached into his bags and grabbed three trackers. "We can't catch a break, can we? I only brought three. Take these two to whoever needs 'em, I'll be down in a minute." said Egon was he turned his tracker on and began to suit up. The hotel wasn't overly large, a tracker could scan the entire building easily. Despite that, only one blip showed: Oboyo's 'leader beacon'."

Satisfied the moogle got a clear look at the gem, the turban man named 'Karl' closed the box and danced back downstairs with it. "Is there a particular place where it usually shows up?" Oboyo asked the unnamed turban man.

"Hmm..well, I've seen it once in the lobby. And Mr. Magol just now saw it in his room." Before Oboyo could ask another question, a middle aged woman sitting at the bar loudly stated her annoyed opinion. "Look at you rats, all running around like this place is a circus. Can't a woman get piss drunk in peace in anymore?"

Jax, not entirely sure what Twilight was saying, just follows close behind, Scruffles sniffing at the ground around them. She reaches out and lightly pets at Twilight's mane, slightly worried she may be a bit upset, what with that strange glowing horn.

Gizmo shakes her crystal before stowing it away. The gem appeared ordinary as far as she could tell, suggesting more mundane trickery. An irate customer's bitching distracts her from her thoughts, prompting her to go over "Sorry madam, saw the elephant at the bar and just assumed it was the right place for an act."

Curiously, Twilight Sparkle turns to look back at Jax and Scruffles, smiling reassuringly despite the glow of her horn, and tilting her head slightly as she reaches out to gently pat one shoulder with a forehoof.

Trixie made her way back toward helios, her materials slipping back beneath her cape "Hey, ball, is that ghost about or not? If it isn't, I'm going to try to eat my food before it gets too cold."

Julexa looks up at the two quizzically, one ear drooping in thought. What were they saying? Also, those gestures...what exactly did that mean? She just takes it as they were about to walk around some more. Bored of this, she heads back downstairs and back to the dining area.

"Apparently not." Helios flies back to the group in time to hear Trixie. "Not according to the trackers. You should have enough time to grab your food and come back." He passes her a tracker. "Take that, though. Just in case." Helios flies away in search of the other half of the group.

Mekis began to feel a bit irritable. After searching for 3 minutes, nothing had yet appeared, and Mekis was not big on patience. Esteban was feeling a tad frightened, also wishing something would appear to relieve the anticipation. Esteban was a surprised by the arrival. Mekis simply responded "Whatever you like," without turning. He was too focused on the task at hand.

"Well, I guess we can eat in that case. Let's head back down, shall we?" Jeffery motions for Trixie to head back down to the dining area with him.

Trixie slipped the tracker under her cloak with a grumble, certain she wouldn't need it at the moment but... "Thanks, it'll probably come in handy some time I suppose. Come on, lets finish our food." she made her way down the steps, sure that someone should still pay for interrupting her meal.

"My apologies, mam. We'll try to make this quick." said Oboyo politely towards the irritable woman. "You're wasting your time, anyway. There's no ghost. I'd tell you why but I just don't care enough to. Why don't you take a look at those two places he mentioned and leave me alone?"

Unsure of how to take the woman's response, Oboyo focused his thoughts on the Spirit Rune, causing it glow brightly for a second. He had hoped the Spirit Rune would have developed further by now, but it seemed it had no such luck. This caused an intringued look in the woman's eye as she ignored Gizmo's snide response. "You there..let me see that mark on your hand." she said without a hint of courteousy.

Finished suiting up, Egon exitted his room and stared at his tracker. There were still no blips on it indicating any ghosts were nearby. He sighed and proceeded down the hall, peering into empty rooms along the way.

Julexa is already finishing her food. She's sitting at the table, eating her fruit salad..well, at least attempting to. She doesn't take big bites..so, this might take awhile...

Despite her smile, Twilight Sparkle's subtly watching for signs of trouble, staying close to Jax and keeping her magic ready in case something tries to attack them.

Gizmo considers another snide remark to the rude woman before shaking her head and heading off to the lobby.

Trixie shook her head as she continued down the steps "I'm not so certain, she looks more irate with him than anything." she made her way back to the table, detailing the shrimp and dumping the tips on the plate before she simply tossed the now cream-garlic soaked crustacean in her mouth, giving a shudder of pleasure, the idea of making someone pay for interrupting her meal completely gone from her mind. She started the process again on another, finally enjoying her meal.

Mekis had become ever more angry. "Where are you, you ridiculous armor!? Show yourself!" Mekis began increasing his pace, searching over and over. Meanwhile, Esteban was keeping an eye both on and behind the hooded figure, uncertain of what to make of him. Mekis saw Egon and shouted to him, "Where is it?! Please tell me you know."

"Hey, Oboyo, what do you make of this reading?" Helios called as he hovered down into the dining area, looking at the tracker and it's single blip.

Accompanying the moogle and his duck, Roche, having himself falling blissfully into the silence that radiated around the group was startled with Mekis's outburst, and looked to Egon with a look of respect knowing he had much more experiance than the young priest could ever hope for.

As Gizmo enters the lobby, she takes out the crystal she has that looks most like the sapphire and channels Undine's blessing through it, turning it a radiant blue. She makes a show of having it, tossing it up in the air and catching it as she walks to an unoccupied seat.

"Where did you get this?" asked the woman as she got a closer look at the Spirit Rune. Oboyo began to feel defensive. "That depends. How do you know about it?" The woman rolled her eyes. "Because it's from my damn homeworld, that's why. I don't know which one it is, but I can clearly see that it's one of the 27 true runes. Figures. They chase me down to even this pisshole."

Oboyo stared at the rune for a moment. "You don't say? Another one of these runes appeared here from there. It caused quite a bit of suffering." The woman muttered, "Oh, I bet. That's what the damn things do. 'Fabled magic! The power to protect your friends and family!' What a bunch of horse shit. You've got a lot coming to you, boy." Before he could say anything else to her, he turned to answer Helios' question. "Erm..that's the uh..'leader beacon'. It's me."

The lobby is a mostly plain room. The walls are made of stone and a simple counter guards the turban man named Karl, who continued to dance without end. A fairly large window could be seen above the entrance to the building, but nothing else particularly stood out.

Egon shrugged towards Mekis. "I don't know. According to this, there's not even a ghost here. What did you guys hear, anyway?"

Even though she's not familiar with gestures taking place of speech, Twilight Sparkle nods, stopping and waiting for Jax to climb on her back as she finally extinguishes the glow of magic around her horn.

"No, no, we know that!" Helios grumbled. "But where is the ghost on it? Why is it just you?" He held the screen up for Oboyo to see.

Gizmo squints at the crystal before stashing it away again. That human who showed it to her in the first place, and that would complicate things. Either nobody would fall for it, making it a stupid plan. Or the man would and try to arrest her. She goes over to Karl "So, the cream puff who saw the ghost: Where is it staying?"

" Why my four-eyed friend, I hear the calls of the Lord, but he does indeed tell me this place is ... tainted." Opening his religious text, Roche begins reading passages in an attempt to draw out the spirits of the afterlife.

Trixie lifted and tilted her bowl, drinking in some of the garlic-cream sauce, licking her lips as she did her best to ignore the ghost hunt "Just a quiet vacation, nothing wrong, nothing strange, just a mare and a delicious meal." the mare continued removing the tails from her shrimp and downing them, just wanting to eat in peace.

"Well, there is supposed to be a bronze suit of armor walking about." The hooded man spoke some nonsense about a lord and someone having four eyes. Needless to say, Mekis was a tad confused. "Riiight. Anyhow, have you ever heard of such a thing Egon?"

"This is delicious, why did I ever think it was a good idea to go and look for that ghost before finishing this?" Jeffery shovels food into his mouth while he tries to eavesdrop on the angry woman and you. He gives up after not understanding what they are talking about and decides to try and talk to Trixie instead. "How are the shrimp?" He called down the table.

Karl continued to dance as he answered Gizmo's question. "Mr. Magol? He was staying in the hotel suite. It's almost exactly above us, in fact! It has a most lovely window, much like the one in here."

"It wouldn't be the first time. Once a ghost finds out how to manipulate objects, it wastes no time tormenting the living." said Egon towards Mekis, glancing over towards the priest and simply shaking his head at him. It seemed faith just barged into his general frustrations towards magic in the cleft.

Oboyo wasn't sure what to do next. The ghost issue was important, but the middle aged woman captured his curiousity. It was too bad Lucass stayed behind to help clean the manor. "Have you ever heard of a seer named 'Leknaat'? She's the one who guided me to it. She called it the 'Spirit Rune', and that it has been missing from your world for some time. It's the reason why life after death is not governed there."

The woman took another sip of her drink. "Makes sense. And I suppose she went off about 'fate' and told you the future's unchangeable, huh? That woman can't just sit back and let things play out at all." Oboyo continued on, "She said that some fog ship would someday invade the cleft with a legion of phantoms. I've been gathering volunteers to be ready for when that day comes."

A drunk patron then passed by Oboyo, Helios, and the woman, tripping over a chair and falling on top of the tracker Helios was holding. He hiccupped loudly, his voice overpowering Helios' question.

Now that Jax is sitting on her back, Twilight Sparkle turns to follow Scruffles at a light gallop, careful not to jostle her rider loose as she moves down the staircase.

Trixie decided to go ahead and finish her meal, the last few shrimp slipped into her mouth before she washed it down with the remainder of the cream sauce, letting out a small groan of extacy as she tilted her head back, her eyes closed, blocking out most of the surrounding noise "Mmm, its absolutely delicious."

Seeing his prose had fallen on deaf ghost ears, Roche puts away his religous text and looks to the two with him sullenly, " Well. I'm out of ideas "

Scruffles sniffs around the lobby and barks twice, merely sitting himself down in the center of the room. Jax hugs on tight to Twilight, trying to keep herself from falling off- She had never been on a horse's back before, despite being interested in them.

Mekis considered such a thing. Seemed to make sense. Though it wasn't that exactly. "Well, if I remember right, the armor is part of this ghost, fading in and out. Does that alter anything?" Esteban, though relatively calm, was beginning to feel ever more paranoid.

"ACK! Hey, watch it!" Helios yelled as he was nearly crushed. He looked down at the now snoring fat guy that was covering the tracker. "Oh... Whatever."

The M85 was idling out in the street nearby when it noticed the noises of someone too short to reach the window. It leaned over and peered curiously into it, trying to see what was going on in there.

The woman rolled her eyes yet again. "Typical. And you're bumbling about without discipline or guidance. Tell you what, boy. Solve this little 'ghost' mystery and I'll whip your little group into shape."
"No offense, mam..but those are some bold words for a drunk woman with a foul mouth. How would you do that, exactly?" asked Oboyo as the woman took another sip out of her drink. "Don't question me. All you need to know is that I know what I'm doing. And my name's Elanor, by the way. Elanor Silverburg."
Egon shook his head. "It shouldn't. Honestly, I don't even think that a ghost is involved."

Trixie sighed and lowered her head, standing back up again "I somewhat doubt theres a ghost around, otherwise both Mr. Jinsaka and his pet scientist would be running around like a pair of headless chickens"

Gizmo heads over to Oboyo "Hey, you're that guy, with the group. Listen, could I borrow your tallest member for a second? I think I've got this mystery more or less cracked, but I need a lift."

" Then what are we doing running about like fanatics, for all we know it could be something in the drinking water." Roche exclaimed matter of factly.

Once she and Jax are both near Scruffles, Twilight Sparkle stops, looking around as her horn lights up again before raising one forehoof to her chin in thought. "This isn't making any sense to me, once again... Is there even one of those here...?"

"Oh. So that means...there's nothing to fight. Curses. I was looking forward to an encounter." Mekis was very dissapointed, as well as a tad angry. He planned on heading into some wood after this to kill a bear to relieve such feelings. Esteban felt a tad relieved at such words. Still, he was vigilante as a lookout, just in case.

"Yeah, plus you'd think the ghost would have at least shown itself if there was one. I may as well go to my room and get some more paperwork done." Jeffery stood up and stretched. "Well, I guess I will head off to do that. You have fun with that ghost, now." Jeffery picked up his briefcase and headed up the stairs.

Jax blinks and looks around, a little confused. Was there no ghost? Scruffles just wags his little stump, waiting for something to happen. All of that commotion made him want to chase a stick.

"Very well then, Elanor." said Oboyo as he dismissed himself from the bar. It was then that he was approached by Gizmo. "Erm, well.." started Oboyo until he glanced out the front window, seeing the towering M85. "..yeah. I think that can be arranged. Let's head outside."

Helios couldn't help but overhear Gizmo's request. "That can be arranged." He flew outside. "M85, Gizmo needs to borrow you for a moment." The massive mechon looked over from the flower stall it was browsing, elicting a sigh of relief from the cowering attendant. It chirruped something and made it's way over to the entrance of the hotel.

Mekis decided to head back downstairs to eat something. Esteban was glad to see that they were going back down. They returned to where they were and finished their seperate dishes.

Gizmo nods and goes outside with Oboyo, spotting the M85 "Hey! Big mechanical buddy! Aww how I've missed you. I need to climb up that to the entrance of that window..." she says, pointing at it. It's not clear if she means the lobby or the suite's window "And look for any evidence someone's been going between them. Can you help me get up there?"

Oddly, Twilight Sparkle looks rather... relieved, at finding out she hasn't actually had to fight a ghost the entire day, and it shows as she turns her head to smile at Jax.

Seeing as there was no point in continuing his search, Roche considered his next course of action, " This is an inn, so there must be a tavern, full of sinners and those of ill-repute, a priests work is never done." With religous text in hand he headed towards the bar.

"You heard her, give the lady a lift." Helios looked at the M85. The war machine nods and reaches out to pick up Gizmo with it's pincer, lifting her up to about midway up the hotel. It chirruped questioningly and motioned to the row of windows.

Jax smiles back at Twilight, brushing her hands down the pony's mane. Scruffles begins to run around the room again in circles, sniffing about for something.

The M85 slowly walks along the row of windows, allowing Gizmo to search for evidence.

Trixie made her way over to the stage, she lifted a few item out from her cloak as her horn glowed magenta, forming a few small spiked lanterns out of beads, candles, and ice, giving a bluish glow to the stage and area around it as she hangs them in mid-air, giving a cough "Ladies and gentlemen, The Great and Powerful Trixie comes to perform before you today. her cloak rose a few feet behind her as the lanterns flared in a brilliant display of dazzling light, sending waves of colored light to ripple across Trixie and the stage, before the candles dimmed back to normal levels.

Gizmo gets to work examining for any leftover ropes, handholds... or signs of a rough landing on the lower sill if all else fails.

Gizmo would not notice any such prints, but perhaps the large suit of armor dangling in a rope from the third floor window.

Gizmo directs M85 to take her up to the third floor window, where she pulls the armor up to have a closer look.

The M85 complies, boosting Gizmo up. It wonders why no one noticed the obvious antique before.

The suit of armor is empty, clearly having been used from the third floor to go up and down. As Gizmo and the M85 move in front of the window, their reflections could be seen inside the lobby and the third floor as transparent figures.

As the armor appears like it might belong to the "ghost", Gizmo starts dragging it down to the dining room for Oboyo and the manager to see. She's rather oblivious about the effect with the windows, however.

With a quiet giggle, Twilight Sparkle extinguishes the glow around her horn as she turns to head back upstairs, looking rather at ease despite having someone on her back. She still makes sure to go slowly, though, to avoid knocking Jax off accidentally. However, the Magic-bearer is unaware of what's about to happen.

Oboyo scratches his head as he watches the reflection appear. The unnamed turban man shrieks as the image of Gizmo and the armor appear in the room. "Th-that's it! It's the ghost! Oh, how dreadful! It's taken that lady as its hostage!"

Gizmo finally arrives in the dining room, after much crashing and swearing from trying to lug an entire suit of armor by rope down a flight of stairs.

Trixie continued her show, being as loud and boistrous about it as she could "I have many grand wonders to show you. I can promise you a show of grand illusions and magical surprises." she let the words settle in the air a moment before continuing, her cloak fluttering back down onto her back as a small ball slips from her cloak to hover before her "For while not all that you may see will be real" the ball vanishes in a puff of light and smoke, leaving nothing behind but a wisp "Not all you see is fake either." the wisp coalesces into a ball in front of Trixie, which then ignites into a small ball of flame.

Jax smiles and happily rides the pony, looking as giddy as a schoolgirl. Scruffles just trots along behind, following his master.

"It was just dangling out there?..That's pretty sloppy. Do your windows normally do that?" Oboyo asked the turban man. "Do what?" asked the man, somehow having overlooked the entire thing. Rather than explain it to him, Oboyo watched Gizmo drag the armor up the steps and approached to help her. "You just found it hanging there? You should know that that window caused you and this armor to appear in this room, though transparent."

"Mhhmhm mhghm mggghmim" says Gizmo, before taking one paw off the rope to take the shishkebab out of her mouth "Well, that solves what caused the ghost... but what was it doing out there in the first place?"

As she makes her way onto the second floor landing, Twilight Sparkle turns to head towards the bar, mane and tail swaying with each step, content to know Jax is enjoying being able to ride on her back.

Coming into the room, Roche is rather startled to see a girl riding a horse of sorts but instead of voicing his concern, he simply waves it off, deciding to sit at the bar and order a drink, " Barkeep, your finest glass of Orange juice."

The barkeep pours the priest his finest glass of orange juice. This glass is so fine that it would be like trying to read the disclaimer of a Mr. Moti credit card.

"Are there any windows above this room?" Oboyo asked the turban man. "Oh, certainly! The royal suite is just above us and it has a window just like this one." he responded. "And is there anyone staying there right now?" The man dropped his shoulders, "Well there was..until Mr. Magol stormed out screaming about the ghost."

Trixie kept at her show for the sake of the few patrons in the bar/cafe, snuffing the light of the flame with her magic, leaving nothing behind in its wake. A deck of cards flit out of the air before her, one card at a time, floating there suspended apart from one another, falling together into a perfect stack before her hooves "Would someone like to volunteer to help me with my next trick?" she looked expectantly around the room, a smile on her face.

Gizmo chuckles "Well, tell him we've caught his ghost. And he can... I dunno, punch it or something. But there's still a guilty party to find."

Properly vitamin C'd Roche stands, and walks over to the stage, wishing to see what was happening.

Trixie grinned at the priest, waving him up onto the stage with a paw "You look like a fine subject for an assistant. Would you enjoy helping me with my show?"

Oboyo nodded, "And I doubt it'll be easy to find out who." At that, a scream could be heard downstairs as well as the brief sound of suction. A red kirby wearing a turban than ran up the stairs and entered the second floor. "Alright, Moti! Hand over the 'Stardrop Sapphire!' I wanted to keep this subtle, but these jerks had to come get in the way. And I don't mean that fake sapphire Karl had, either! I mean the real one, inside your turban!"

Gizmo summons Salamando's blessing, a fire coalescing into a pistol in her paw "I'm not sure how you things work, so that clerk better be safe. If not... well, I don't tolerate murderers."

Not wanting to seem rude, Roche nods to Trixie and comes onto the stage.

Scruffles barks up at Jax, spinning in circles to get her attention. Jax catches him out of the corner of her eye, and hops off of Twilight, leaning down to scratch the one place Scruffles cannot reach- His fuzzy butt.

Mekis had decided that it was time to be on his way. However, on his way out, Esteban stopped him, eyes trained near their empty dishes. As if to say that they could at least leave a tip. To satisfy the mallard, Mekis left a gold piece on the table for the waiter. With that, Mekis and Esteban headed out to the nearest wood. Mekis has to make good on his past thought.

The turban man seemed disheartened as he removed his turban and pulled the Stardrop Sapphire out from it. "How could you, Mr. Magol? You were always such a faithful guest!" The red kirby hissed, "You don't understand! That gem..it whispers to me..it's mine, I tell you! It's mine! Mine! And because you hid behind Karl, I will now use his power to beat you all!"

With that, the red kirby seemed to be gathering immense power! He held his hands out..and proceeded to dance relentlessly in place. "What..I..oh, come on! Most people have SOME kind of power when they're inhaled!"

Confused by the recent turn of events, Roche does as he's told and looks over the deck, satisfied that all 52 cards were there without jokers.

Gizmo opens fire, quite literally as the bullets are made of firey energy rather than actual projectiles. "DANCING PUFFBALL MURDERER!"

Trixie steps back and moves off to the side so she doesn't become doused in flames "Hey, be careful! This cloak is rather valuable!"

Hearing the sounds of battle, Roche heads to the source of the fire. Arriving in time to see Gizmo shoot, he decides to aid them in the only way he knows.

Oboyo groaned as he reached into his jacket and pulled out his custom staff, snapping it into place. "Yeah. The power to sweep the dance floor." commented Oboyo as he spun it vigorously to build up momentum before bringing it down on the kirby. But before his staff could make contact, the kirby flew back as the fiery energy slammed into him. "Aaaah! It burns! Ohh gooood!"

Oboyo blinked a few times as he glanced back and forth between Gizmo and the burning kirby. "Well, that's one way to take care of him." He then turned back to Moti. "I guess that solves it, then. Magol here wanted to steal Basketfish's payment, this 'Stardrop Sapphire'. He used the windows to trick everyone into seeing a ghost of a suit of armor, I guess he assumed everyone would be afraid and run off. A bit eccentric. All of this for a gem." said Oboyo, closing his eyes and shaking his head.

"I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU!" yells Gizmo as she eats the last of her kabob "I HAVE A POKEY STICK! AND I KNOW HOW TO USE IT!"

Seeing the enemy defeated, Roche says another prayer, and again is unsuccessful. " COME ON GOD, how 'bout some concistancy..."

Moti sighed as he held the Stardrop Sapphire out. "Well, I thank you and your friends for solving this case. At least the night can't get any worse." Suddenly, the blue gem began to glow brightly. "Wha..?" It glowed so bright that it began to encompass the room. Amidst the light, a wispy ball of blue energy leaves the gem and flies towards Twilight. Then as quickly as it began, the light dissipated and the gem crumbled into tiny pieces.

Unhappy with his 'loving' God's aid, Roche decides to take his anger out on the now burnt kirby with the weapon all priests carry. A Metre stick.

At the unexpected outburst, Twilight Sparkle turns towards the turban-Kirby running in, raising an eyebrow slightly as her horn starts sparking and nodding to Jax as she finally jumps off. "What is this now? And how does wanting to help my friends and teammates make me a jerk?" Unfortunately, for the Magic-bearer, the fighting only serves to make her sigh as she launches a weak fire-orb from her horn. "Oh, come on... Really now?"

Gizmo walks over to her victim "You may wish to look away, priest."

"Please allow me to perform last rights." says Roche

However, just after she fires off her attack, Twilight Sparkle is struck by the orb shooting out from the gem and knocked unconscious by the sheer force of the energy sinking into her body. "What? YARGH-! Ugh..." Inexplicably, though, even though she's unconscious, the Magic-bearer seems to vanish rather suddenly, with only slight scorching marking where she HAD been only moments before.

" From Your love, we deliver this creature to your side, Please guide this soul to your... I can't I can't look" Roche being in the middle of last rites becomes squemish over Gizmo's tratmeant of Magol.

Trixie let out a muffled curse before rushing to the site where the other pony vanished "You thrice cursed stupid sun worshiping bitch of a mare!" she circled around the place where Twilight disappeared "You're not supposed to die before I get the chance to kill you!" the mare dropped down to her knees, still looking around in a panic.

"Twilight!" shouted Oboyo as he ran over towards the scorch marks where Twilight disappeared at. "What the hell was that?!" he barked towards Moti, who seemed more upset that his gem crumbled. "Helios!..Where'd Helios go? Damnit!" shouted Oboyo as he spotted Egon finally reaching the second floor in his search. "Egon! Has your tracker detected anything just now?" Egon adjusted his glasses, he had a serious look on his face.

"Only just now, and for literally only a second. What was that light?" Oboyo grit his teeth tightly. "Go wake Launchpad and prep the Gitmidur. Trixie, put out that fire, will you? And get the others up to their rooms." He then turned towards Elanor. "Sorry, I'll have to talk to you more later." Elanor took another sip out of her drink. "Yeah, yeah. What'd I tell you about those runes? Just go do your thing. I'll be hoping I get so drunk that I forget this whole thing."

With the commands issued, Egon ran off upstairs and Oboyo turned towards Gizmo and the priest. "Thanks for helping us solve the case, but I've got to figure out what happened to Twilight. You two are free to stay with my group for the night if you want." Oboyo then unfolded his staff and returned it to his trenchcoat. "When you finish with them Trixie, round up anyone willing to search town. Hastur, Deim, I don't care who. I'll be outside!" barked Oboyo as he ran downstairs.

Tears began to drop from Trixie's eyes as she punched a forehoof against the floor, ignoring your words for the moment "You ignorant, overly humble, apologetic, damned meddler of a mare! she punched at the floor a few more times as she began to shake "You're supposed to be stronger than this...."

Gizmo grins "Excellent... I have no idea what is going on, and that is so refreshing!"

"Allow me to put out the fire." Roche mutters some words, and casts 'create water' creating water over the fire, extinguishing it. Moving over to Trixie, " I know you are not a child of god, but he tells me there is hope for your friend." With that said Roche retires to his room questioning the turn his life had taken on this night.

A small bowl phased into being before the distressed mare, water beginning to pool and fill it as Trixie's horn turned almost a deep reddish violet, a snake made of water arching and twisting out of the bowl, turning on what's left of the fire as it literally attacks the spot, bowing the boards beneath it and causing a light snapping noise before the water abated, the mare standing and walking toward the stairs "If I find out this was done by someone on purpose, Trixie-" the mare never finished her sentance, collapsing unconscious to the floor.

Elsewhere....

With a grimace, Twilight Sparkle blearily opens her eyes, though the appearance of nothing but stars in her field of vision has the unicorn mare blinking and rubbing her eyes in disbelief. "Wh-... Where am I, and what happened to the others...? I can't be dead, can I...?"
