The late afternoon sun casted its light over the plaza, causing an unusually warm temperature for a February afternoon. The wind was still, and various citizens could be seen tending to their daily duties, praying that their beloved home wouldn't become a strange attraction for catastrophe yet again. Upon one of the benches sat a man wearing a trench coat, staring at a strange rune on his left hand.

"So... fifteen... bear... asses." Kent was in the store of a random shopkeeper looking for a job. Again. "Yes sir!" "What do you do with these things?" "Potions!" "...right." As Kent left the shop he headed east towards the fountain, feeling a little depressed about his life. It wasn't long before he found a bench to sit on and cradled his forehead in his hands. It was going to be a long week.

Lancaster stood up from the bench he spent his days at, creaking joints casting out some of the accumulated dust. His ruined eye sparks as he looks for someone to talk to. He decides to walk over to the possible flasher. "Greetings, good sir. How are you today?"

Reading one of his tomes, Carmichael hums to himself a tune of the old country, between pages he takes in the world around him, his gaze lingering on the stranger.

In the fountain area, a small bird can be seen, twittering atop the fountain. Its song is both one of beauty and and a natural grace. A moment later, a small streak of lightning hits the bird, killing it. As it topples into the fountain, an OldMan in a cloak walks over to the fountain. He grabs the corpse from the water, preceding to bring it to a new form of life. The bird sits in his hand, singing a new tune, but with a darker undertone.

"For once... There's no need for DJ Pon-3 here..." With a shrug, Vinyl Scratch is sitting atop her usual equipment, watching the sky through her optics.

Helios hovers in from the western road, followed by the M85 and the load of metal it is carrying. "Those scanners sure do take a lot of resources, don't they?" The M85 nodded and chirruped something. "Yes, of course." He looks around the square as the M85 set down the metal. "Oh, hello Vinyl. You seem oddly quiet today, what's up?"

A long-eared moogle in blackened armor and a fez strolls over to the fountain, after taking a quick look around. Seeming satisfied with what she's seen, she takes a seat on the bench nearby the man in the trench coat.

"Another long day... I need a better job." Jeffery slumps in from the south and plops down on a bench, setting his briefcase down and wiping his forehead with his coats leeve. "Warm out today, isnt it?" He looks over at the man sitting farther down the bench.

Garoth wandered into town, stopping at the entrance of the plaza and heaving a sigh, before approaching Kent "You're not still mad at me for being a "worshipper of dark and twisted energies", are you?"

Hastur wanders in from the north, sighs, and takes a seat by the fountain. He pulls out a small book and an music player, and begins to listen to music with headphones as he reads.

The man glanced up towards the reploid first then towards the man sitting nearby. "Warm, and hopefully peaceful. Seems all I do is attract trouble these days. And what about for you gentlemen?"

"I'm still mad at you for being a worshiper of dark and twisted energies" Replied Kent, looking up from his hands. He looked at Garoth's flaming eyes. He was told that he should grow more accepting of others, but this man had the skills and the looks of evil. Yet, he didn't have the hatred or the anger of such people. Kent was curious, but he knew that asking would be pointless. He's heard all the excuses.'

A streak of light suddenly shoots across the sky overhead from the east, heading west; it would look almost like a shooting star, if it were, y'know, nighttime. It creates a brief flash of blue light in the late afternoon sky, and trails a deep violet hue as it streaks across the horizon, eventually fading out of sight.

"Just realizin' there's more to life than providin' rockin' beats as DJ Pon-3, Heli." With what little available light there is glinting off her metallic 'skin', Vinyl Scratch turns to talk with Helios, leaning back slightly. "'Sides... Pretty soon, I'm guessin' I'm gonna be doin' more than just spinnin' records, ya know?"

Jeffery stretches. "Oh, I just got off work. Nothing really interesting, just some number crunching." He sighes. "I would rather be accounting, but doing inventory pays too..." After a moment, Jeffery brightens up again as he begins to pull out his shoeshine equipment. "So, what do you do? Are you in executive management?"

The bird leaped to the OldMan's shoulder. He turned at the sound of the book. "Who's makin' all that ruckus?" It was some youngster, as he had guessed. The bird started to get antsy, wanting to tear the kid's eyes out. "Shh, shh. Not yet, my pet. Soon." The OldMan took a seat on a bench, resting his weary bones as he began weaving different magics into the bird.

Hastur blinks in surprise, then looks at his music player. "Oh, come on. Why do you have to die in the middle of my favorite song? Stupid, cheap music player..." He sighs and puts the music player and headphones back into his backpack, as well as his book. He looks around and notices Helios speaking to what looked to be a metallic pony, certainly different from those he had met before. He smiles and begins to make his way over to the machines.

Garoth sighed and sat down beside Kent "You realize, I would roll my eyes if I could. I don't think I've ever worshiped anything by the way, I was trying to make light of the situation. I can't stop having these abilities any more than you can stop breathing." he shook his pumpkin.

Lancaster is a bit put off by the lack of response and, on a whim, sits in the fountain. At least this might liven things up a bit... he thinks as his pants get soaked.

Helios hovers over and settles next to her. "That's oddly introspective for you, you wanna talk about it?" He looks up at her. "You are thinking of some sort of career change or something?" The M85, meanwhile, looks around the square before pulling out it's bottomless box of chalk and beginning to draw.

Jax staggers up toward the fountain, her thumbs hooked through the worn straps of her pack. By her side is her little corgie, who nudges his nose against her leg, stepping up to the water. She smiles, and follows after quickly, kneeling down to cup her hands and bring some water to her doggy's muzzle. The little dog laps up the water happily while Jax looks around at the crowd, scouting out the various individuals.

Mula peeks around the corner into the fountain area. Oh good, people...she makes her way to the fountain and hops up onto an unoccupied bench and plucks an unattended flower and places the stalk bwetween her teeth, nibbling on it much like a farmer would do to a stalk of wheat.

Oboyo watches as the reploid takes a seat in the fountain, scratching his head. "I'm pretty sure authorities find that to be illegal around here, sir." He then turned back towards the other stranger speaking to him. "Accounting, huh? Well I wouldn't call myself an executive..but I do run something of a business."

Kent stared at Garoth. "I could stop breathing. It would mean that I would die. Sometimes, the death of the forsaken is needed to keep the life of the pure." Kent looked behind him into the fountain. 'It would be quick. But, who are you talking about, him or you, hunter?' "...Garoth. What do you consider pure?"

"I am quite interested in the kind of business you do to get that manner of stone mr.?" carmichael extends his hand to the man taking a seat the opposite side of the man.

Lancaster looks up at the trench coat dude. "To be honest, living the life I live should be illegal, sir. My life is a joke that hasn't a punchline. I just sit at the bench and do nothing because of this damned eye."

"It's just..." With her robotic joints whirring as she rises to her hooves, Vinyl Scratch pulls the goggles off her eyes, exposing her ruby-tinted optics. "Bein' here for so long is makin' me realize how things change, and it's about buckin' time I get rollin' with knowin' life's all about change. Yeah, I'm a DJ, but there's more to life than that, yeah?"

Jax looks around the fountain, and walks herself over to a nearby group- A robot of some sort, and two other people, one of which is garbed in a large trenchcoat. Trenchcoats often have lots of stuff under them. She reaches out to tug on the man's coat, watching the peoples' lips as she moves in. Meanwhile, Scruffles the corgi sniffs around, and nudges Mula's foot, before barking up at her, wagging his little stump.

Gizmo looks over at Mula "Hey there, what brings you here? One of the fellow adventurers... or a curious townsperson?"

"Oh really? Do you need an accountant, because I would rather crunch some numbers than do inventory in the back." Jeffery looks over at the man hopefully as he begins to shine his shoes. Gotta look his best, right?

Mula blinks some, as she hears someone address her. She swivels her head. "Oh, uh, I guess you can say a mixture of both?" She says, as she gently scratches the corgi behind his(her?) ears. Having not seen something like thgis from where she, well, came from...she took a bit of an interest in it.

The OldMan looked up, spotting a civilian. The bird flew over and landed on the civilian's shoulder. He was both confused and mystified. Little did he know the true intention of the creature. As the man walked, onlookers could see him lose his gusto, his life slowly slipping. He fell to his knees, then flat on its face. Moments later, it rose to its feet, shuffling over and taking a seat next to the OldMan. "Let's see what other fun we can make, yes?" The cadaver nodded simply as the bird contined to sing from its shoulder.

Hastur stops in his tracks, hearing that Helios and the metallic pony appear to be having an important conversation. No wanting to interrupt, he scans for someone else to converse with, noticing a creature similar to a rabbit, but with slight differences. he smiles and begins to make his way to her.

Garoth shrugged and gave a chuckle "How would I know, I'm probably cursed a few times over. Once for certain. I just try to live life and not step on too many toes in the process. If thats pure or not, who knows." he relaxed back a little on the bench, bracing his hands along the edge.

Helios nods. "Yeah, it's never good to get yourself into a rut. You have to... Spice things up, yes? That's the word we are looking for." He hovers up in front of her. "Is this partially because we turned you into a robot?"

Oboyo ponders that. "Huh..I've been handling the numbers with another guy named Moit, I haven't once thought about getting outside help. Not sure if you want to work at my place at the moment though. It's a little..smelly." said Oboyo as he casted a glare towards Hastur and Helios. He then turned his attention towards the beat up reploid, noticing the eye he mentioned. "That's unfortunate. I guess it has its own story, huh?"

Oboyo felt something tugging his coat and glanced down towards the girl. He simply smiled at her, turning his attention back to the reploid and the accountant before extending his hand to shake the hand of the man across him. Things certainly got lively for him all of a sudden. "Manner of stone? What do you mean?"

"Yeah, dude. But, honestly... I suppose I oughta thank you for turnin' me into a robot, if it kept me from bein' possessed by that stupid ghost." Vinyl Scratch smiles lopsidedly, opening the boxes she had been sitting on and pulling the parts of her DJ equipment out. "'Sides, life's different here, yo."

Mula then quickily looked up to notice two others heading her way. She was popular tonight, huh? However, she noticed the M85 and gave it a wave back, calling out: "Drawing again today, are we?" She then turns her attention to Gizmo again: "Oh, believe me, I'm used to the wierd and archaic. Where I copme from, that's not an unusual occurance.." She says, leaving it at that as one hand gently grasps the corgi to make it easier for him.

"Smelly? Well, I think I can get over that. The A/C at my office back home broke for a solid week once. We would end up the day smelling pretty rank." Jeffery pulls back and considers his shoe. Is it shiny enough yet? 'Course not. He returns to polishing it. "Anyway, I can work for you if you want."

Jax pouts and tugs a little harder on the man's coat, trying to get his attention, before holding out a cupped hand. She gives him a questioning look and points at her hand, then her stomach, then her hand again.
The little corgi smiles up at Mula, appreciating the pets as he barks happily. He attempts to hop up onto the bench, struggling a little before succeeding, leaning in to curiously sniff Mula's cheek.

" Name's Carmichael. My tomes i hve been reading speak of that type of rune on the stone it'd be quite interesting if you could tell me about it." As he says this, Carmichael opens his tomes ready to referance the information he is given.

Garoth looked at the cigar for moment before chuckling, beginning to laugh as he held out his hand, a small fireball forming there to catch the end of the cigar. He winced as the choir rose to a screech, conteplating lobbing the fireball at the creature, but simply holds back for the sake of his friend.

One who had the ability to detect it would sense a mass of death energy to the south of Truce, a man meandering his way up, almost skipping in his approach to the fount, which is odd considering he's clad in black clamshell armor, black boots, black pants, and what may or may not be black gloves (one can never really tell). The man grinning from ear to ear as he approached the bulletin board, rolling a couple small balls from his hands onto the top of the structure, (garoth/demonicor)
the orbs unfolding into a pair of mechanical spiders, one of which seems to be more awkward than the other, stumbling into its double (which tries to help right it) "I told you both before we left, you need to learn how to move about, in publicis as good a place as any." the spiders would have a small hint of dead energy about them, while the man would have only a residual amount. A few would recognize him as Demonicor.

"Well, we suppose..." Helios looks down for a moment. "At least you wern't posessed, yeah. We are still sorry about that, but it has it's positive aspects." He hovers around her, helping her put together her DJ equipment. "So, what else are you thinking of doing?"

The M85 looks up and nods to Mula, chirruping something that sounds agreeable and making another line with the chalk.

The OldMan retrieved some light reading from beneath his cloak. The corpse simply burst. From the death pile, a limb or two began wandering about, mindlessly bumping into people. The OldMan had planned more, but the book turned out to be really good. The bird had become silent, reading along.

Lancaster nods. "Not a very long one. Fireball. Face. Boom." He sighs. "I took he boat here afterwards and just sat on the bench for...Oh dear. How long was it?

"Well, if you're so eager to leave your job, I suppose it's fate." said Oboyo as he extended his hand towards the accountant. "Name's Oboyo Jinsaka. The 'business' I mentioned is the Paranormal Deliverance Force. Maybe you've heard of us?"
Oboyo held his hand to his goatee as he scrutinized the damaged eye a little further. "That doesn't sound very ambitious. I can't imagine your pain, but is it really worth throwing your life away over?"

Oboyo glanced down at the girl as she tugged his coat again. He noticed her gesture and felt bad that he had nothing resembling food on him. "Poor girl..you must be hungry." He glanced up and then noticed a moogle merchant making his rounds. "Excuse me, sir. I'll take three pieces of jerky, please." After making the purchase, Oboyo returned to his seat and offered a piece to the girl, eating one himself. "Hmm, not bad for an adventurer's snack. Go on, give it a try."
Oboyo gave Carmimichel a surprised look. "You mean..the Spirit Rune? You've seen it before?"

"Not that I usually ask, yo, but... Is there something you wanted to ask me about?" Vinyl Scratch looks up, finishing the assembly of her DJ gear and sitting back down beside one of the speakers. "Besides, dude, we haven't talked lately, and I'm kind of wonderin' what the hay you're up to now."

Kent smiled. He took the cigar and placed it to his lips and inhaled. He looked at the clouds as he let out a long breath of smoke, slowly, trying to enjoy the moment. It was an interesting gesture. He didn't look at Garoth again, he didn't offer a cigar to Garoth, but his silence was probably something Garoth wasn't expecting. Kent's silence was a simple gesture of forgiveness.

Lancaster says, "I know I should go out, but my body already sucks. I don't want it to get damaged further." As if it wanted to illustrate this, Lancaster's hand makes a horrible grinding noise.

Jax blinks, and nods to the man as she mentions her being hungry. She watches him walk off, and awaits him returning, taking the jerky she's offered. She bows quickly and sits down next to the bench, letting out a sigh of relief as she hungrily takes a bite out of it, looking over at her little puppy. Scruffles, however, was a little busy nosing Mula's face to go over and grab his food. He begins to lightly lick at Mula's fur, still rather curious, having never smelled someone such as her before.

"Oh, excelent! Yes, I read all about you all working up in Cosmo in the evening paper a few days ago. I would be happy to work as your accountant." Jeffery decides that his shoe is reflective enough now, moving over to the next one. "Where do I sign up?"

Gizmo smiles at Hastur "Ah, yes, I do remember you. Thank you for that, by the way. And don't worry about any spoilers, I have the misfortune of already knowing most of my future, at least for this time. My experiences with this knowledge are why I'm careful about what I do or do not reveal."

"Not in person, and not as much as i'd like to know about it, tell you what. Here, call me if you ever wanna talk about yor little find there" Carmichael gives oboyo a card with his name hastily scrawn on it in pencil.
Seeing his well of information having dried up, Carmichael sees something that interests him. Moving to the other end of the square, Carmichael extends his hand to the man in black, " hell of machines you've got there"

A tremendous bolt of lightning is seen splitting the sky overhead, crackling down with furious intensity far to the west! The rumbling aftershock is heard as an audible, if distant rumble, but a cloud or two is literally parted as it comes down and just as quickly disappears. Odd, really, considering there's no storm clouds overhead; that, and it's STILL WINTER. Oi.

"Wel- no, not really, you just looked down and we wanted to come over and cheer you up." Helios drops down and hovers in front of Vinyl. "As for what we have been up to, we joined up with some group called the Paranormal Deliverance Force. Us and the M85 have been busting ghosts and things like that lately. Have you heard of them?"
The M85 chirrups hapily as Mula comes over to look at its landscape, patting her on the head and returning to coloring, though now with her assistance. It begins to add in some details to one of the trees in the drawing.

The bird perked its head up at the new arrival, watching as the strange man placed two shining objects upon the billboard. They intrigued the bird immensely, due to their energies and the bird's residual instincts. It flew with a simple grace, landing atop the billboard. It stared at the shiny insects, curious about their taste. The OldMan continued reading, taking notes on how to deal with those nefarious do-gooder types.

Mula smiles, smelling like an ordinary rabbit most likely to the Corgi. She nuzzles the corgi's cheek as she lets him down onto the ground and she scampers over to see what the M85 is drawing, gently squeezing around the M85 to look. If the M85 looks down, she just offers a smile, and grabs a piece of chalk to color in a few spots with a matching color.

Garoth closed his hand, snuffing out the small fireball as he drew its energy back into himself, it was an interesting effect for him. He looked at his unmarred hand a moment before bringing it back down to the bench again, staring up at the sky.

Hastur smiles and nods to Gizmo. "I was glad to help, and I understand your need to be careful. I've read a bit about time and how it works in general, and I can't begin to fathom how things could go wrong if things were changed." He then looks at the corgi on the ground and smiles, patting the small dog on the head.

Demonicor glanced up at the bird, noting its look of more than simple curiosity at his creations, a darkness lowered over his eyes "You would do well to keep away from them, simulacrum, before I scramble it so you don't know north from down." one of the spiders slipped from the sign and Demonicor caught it in his hand, his other hand as the first spider balled up, the second leaping onto his fingers to crawl up his arm.

Oboyo winces as he listens to the grinding noise. "You certainly look like you could use some work. Are you unable to find or pay someone for service?"

Oboyo shrugged as Jeffery changed shoes. "No where, really. I'm based in Shrike, but the place is closed off for a little while to get the stench out and to get fixed up. There was something of a party there while I was out last night." muttered Oboyo, again casting a glare towards Hastur and Helios.

Oboyo took the card as the young man wandered off, watching him suspiciously as he moved on. 'That was strange..I didn't think anyone knew about the Spirit Rune. I'll have to look into this later...' thought Oboyo to himself.
Oboyo smiled and handed the remaining piece of jerky to the girl. "Go ahead, take one for the road. Do you live around here? What's your name?" asked Oboyo, not entirely expecting an aural response given the girl's gestures earlier.

Lancaster looks a bit agitated. "That would require going out with my horrible body and killing goblins or whatever the heck's out there for gold, and I'd probably be killed.

Jax just barely catches the last half of the movements of Oboyo's lips, shaking her head. Scruffles runs around in a circle and then back over to Jax, where he moves himself into her lap, before she hands him the new piece of jerky. She takes a moment to think, and points at her throat, then shake her head, then point at her throat again. Scruffles just noms on the little piece of jerky, twitching his stump of a tail back and forth.

Garoth. What would you say if I told you that I worship a god that doesn't answer my prayers?" Kent felt odd suddenly saying it, but he needed to tell someone he trusted. "When I was exiled, they told me I was damned. I spend my life seeking atonement. I want to purify my soul. I'm not even sure I have a soul left anymore."

Carmichael looks to the bird on the nearby bulletin board, sensing evil coming from it, Carmichael averts his gaze to the only other domesticated animal nearby, moving to the young lady with the corgi in her lap , he pulls out a piece of jerky, looking to the young lady, " May I?"

"First I've heard of the group, yo. But it sounds like a wicked good time, and a break from my life as DJ Pon-3." Vinyl Scratch, as she leans in to listen, grins widely, clearly enthused by the prospect of fighting ghosts. "I'm DEFINITELY in, for a good time!"

The bird tilted its head at the man. An energy similar to the spiders surrounded him. Some of it even began to flow of of him into the bird, as per the various spells placed upon it. No matter. The bird took wing, observing the square. The OldMan had reached his least favorite section of the book, in which the "hero" takes the life of the "villian." "How ridiculous," he muttered.

Gizmo laughs, a rare sound "Oh no, if the danger was in the changes I could make, that'd be one thing. In actuality, it would seem mortals like us cannot change the past, and Bad Things happen when we try. It was a serendipitous paradox that allowed me the mercy of just being able to go back to my own time, but true control of time and history is for things strong enough to be called gods."

"It certantly sounds bad, must have been some kinda party." Jeffery finishes with the shoe and puts his polishing rag and the tin of polish away. He follows Oboyo's gaze to look at the floating ball and the guy. "What did those two do?"

"Most definetly! We go out and eradicate ghosts and all kinds of things." Helios glances around the square, noting you at the fountain. "Here, follow us. We can put in a good word for you with the leader." He hovers over to Oboyo, waiting for Vinyl. "Hey, Oboyo, we have a prospective member looking to join."

"When you were exiled, was it your god who said you were damned? I've found theres often a striking difference between what a god says, and what a zealot says it means..." Garoth gave a shrug before standing up, dusting off his trench coat before he reached out a hand to Kent "Come on, lets hit the bar, my treat"

Hastur nods at Gizmo. "Ah, I see." He has only a basic understanding of what Gizmo actually said, something he wishes to change with study. "Things like the ability to change anything in time would not only be too much for a mortal to handle in terms of physical ability, but it would also corrupt. They would think that nothing would be a barrier for them, that they could do what they want.

Mula finishes coloring in part of a mountain, before placing the chalk back into it's spot in the box and gently rapping her knuckles on the side of the M85, in a gesture of friendship. "Nice to see you again, ya big lug, but I have to be off." She says, as she gives the M85 one last wave and scampers towards the southern gate--from there, who knows where she'll end up.

As Carmichael went about playing with the dog, Demonicor chuckled and started towards the north end of the plaza, bringing the other spider back out to rest on his shoulder, where it unfolded once again "Be more careful, if you hit the ground out here, especially at that height, we don't have the repair bots to fix you"

"Hmm..I see." said Oboyo, clearly noticing that the girl had some form of speech problem. He smiled as the dog approached and pondered petting it, but figured it would not have been a good idea to invade the girl's safety zone. "Do you have any parents?" he asked, a little concerned for the starving girl.

Oboyo thought about the reploid's reponse. As well off as he was, handing money out was never the proper solution to such things. "It's either die out there or die here, isn't it? Wouldn't you prefer to take a stand for yourself?"

Oboyo muttered as Jeffery inquired about Helios and Hastur. "I haven't really asked for all the details yet..I wasn't in the mood when I got home yesterday. Anyway, most of the crew is either at the inn or in the cafe down the street. We're going to be traveling to Caspia within a day or two to get away from the manor for a while. Look for a blonde haired guy with glasses and a giant gun strapped to his back. You can't miss him. And congratulations, you get a free vacation before your first day."

Oboyo nodded at Helios as he approached with the cybernetic pony. 'Another one? How many of these ponies are there?'

Oboyo thinks to himself as he speaks up. "Is that right? Hello there, I'd say I'm Oboyo Jinsaka but I guess you already know that by now. What's your name? And do you happen to know Twilight, Trixie, and Captain Spitfire too?"

Kent was a bit shocked at what Garoth said. He had never been told to interpret the word of his god. He had been told to obey it and to spread it. He had been told truths. But now, this was a different world. Maybe now was a time for him to change his ways. Kent took Garoth's hand and pulled himself up. "Alright. Hopefully I won't get thrown out like I did with the pirate."

Lancaster looks into Oboyo's eyes with his good one. "It's either live a longer life, somewhat bored but with the opportunity to talk to all you interesting people with lives, or die out in the woods to some zombie goblin or whatever. I know what I'd choose."

"Right, well I will go and find them in that case." Jeffery stands up and grabs his briefcase. "See you round, then!" He leaves in the direction of the inn.

Gizmo shrugs "That's one way to look at it. All I know is, time travel complicates things. There are some things I wish I'd only seen one time around."

Jax blinks, and looks a bit confused, tilting her head at Oboyo before shaking it. She holds up two hands, showing ten fingers, puts them down, then holds them up again, with eight fingers, before pointing at herself. She doesn't really notice Carmichael standing next to her, until Scruffles nudges her chest, and she turns to look at him, then the jerky, taking it in her hands, smiling.

Hastur nods at Gizmo. "I can understand how it would." He looks over at Helios, Oboyo, and the small metallic pony. It seems something might be happening that deals with my current occupation. It has been nice speaking with you, Miss Gizmo. Perhaps we can speak again soon." He kisses Gizmo's hand continentally, then heads in the direction of the small gathering.

Garoth chuckled and smiled "Well, I'm not going to -try- causing any problems, but I'm no stranger to getting my pumpkin knocked off. We should do fine." he lead the way toward the inn and the bar located therein.

"I've heard of them, yeah. Nice to be with such a kickin' outfit. And you can count on the one and only Vinyl Scratch to REALLY kick things up."

The OldMan had grown tired of the book, choosing to chuck it into the fountain. The bird came back down to rest on his shoulder. "So, what have you seen little one?" The little beast shrugged, noticing nothing that the OldMan hadn't. Meanwhile, a disembodied hand meandered over to the man in black, drawn by the various etheral oddity attached to him.

Noticing the girl smile, Carmichael takes the seat next to her petting her corgi, " I can tell you're just full of ideas aren't you little one" Carmichael looks up to the lady, " Beautiful species here Miss"

"Well, now that all of that is settled, we will leave you two to work things out." Helios turns to the M85. "Time to go!" The large mechon nodded and went over to pick up the scrap metl while Helios turned back to Vinyl. "You will probably need to get one of the trackers we are building, so stop by sometime and we can get you one." He nods to her and you before flying north, followed by the M85.

Demonicor blinked as he noticed an oddity, shrugging his shoulders to drop the spiders into his hands, he slipped them into his pockets, looking down at the approaching hand, he moved to scoop it up, drawing his fingers along the palm and back across the forearm, the unlife draining from it as the flesh split beneath his fingers, dropping the now dead arm, he drew the spiders back out, into his hand "So rude, leaving things like that to run free, don't you two agree?"

Demonicor fed some of the residual energy into the spider's soulgems as he watched them crawl around his hand, keeping an eye on them and wandering out towards the eastern exit of truce.

Oboyo turned to look away for a second. "I suppose I could see the logic in that choice. I guess if it were me, I'd take a chance. But I'm sure a good opportunity will show up for you sooner or later." He then returned his attention to the reploid. "Fate has a strange way of doing that sometimes."

"Well then, welcome aboard Vinyl. There are couple of others like you among us. Unfortunately, the manor is a little..unavailable at the moment. We're going to take a trip to Caspia soon, so I guess you're free to come with us." said Oboyo, giving another nod towards Vinyl. He almost wanted to say something towards Helios about having enough ponies, but he kept the thought to himself. He muttered at the idea of dispensing more trackers.

Oboyo rose his eyebrow as he took another look at the girl. He wasn't sure how he mistook her age before, and simply shrugged at it. "Must be rough, but I guess you're the type who can take care of herself. Do you have a home?"

Lancaster looks contemplative. "Would you mind coming with me, or at least helping me in some way? I'll pay you back..."

Without warning, two more explosive bolts of electrical energy surge out of the sky, splitting clouds apart as they race toward the ground far to the west; the ground literally rumbles to some subtle degree upon their individual impacts, accompanied with a louder echo of thunder to boot. Just as swiftly as they arrived, however, they are just as soon out of sight, but perhaps not out of mind.

Gizmo waves to Hastur "Alright. Be sure to ask around for me if you need anything." The time traveller looks towards the odd storm to the west, before shaking her head "No... I'm pretty sure I didn't go there..."

Jax pulls her backpack off and stuffs the extra jerky into it, before nodding at Oboyo, pointing at the backpack. She reaches her other hand up to gently scratch the corgi's head, before blinking as she accidentally touches Carmichael's hand, looking down at it then up at him, raising a confused eyebrow. She gently pushes his hand off of Scruffles, pulling him up closer into her lap, where he gives her little licks on her dirty cheek.

"That's cool, yo." As she bobs her head in time to some unheard beat, Vinyl Scratch is turning to retrieve her gear, robotic joints whirring as she trots over and packs it away with her magic - causing her metallic skin to shimmer in turn with the glow coming from her horn. "Guess I'll be crashin' at Finn's pad for the time being, until your digs get fixed up, Oboyo dude. Peace."

"I apologize it was not my place to presume. It would seem we started out on the wrong foot. I'm Carmichael." he looks to the girl hoping to regain her trust not wanting to appear wierd in her eyes, ' at least the dog likes me ', he thought

Hastur wandered over to the small gathering, smiling as he always does. "Hey, boss. Just wanted to apologize about the manor. Those three came outta nowhere, and we did what we could without being able to actual make them tangible." He turns to the pony and chuckles. "Well, you're certainly different from the others. With the gear, I'd have to guess you're into music. Cool. Might have to chat with you about putting a sound system in the manor so we can listen to good music."

The OldMan's neck nearly snapped when his head twisted to see who was stealing energy from one of his creations. His eyes narrowed when they spotted the perpetrator. He muttered up a cloak on his bird before sending it to keep an eye on the man. He looked to the sky as he thought 'The night is still young...' And with that, he headed off into the south in hopes of finding a few new minions/playthings.

Theres the cry of a bird from the south as the death energy begins moving off away from truce again.

Oboyo rubbed his forehead as Hastur approached. "Surprisingly I'm less upset about the manor and more upset about something else that happened yesterday. You're a pretty tough guy, Hastur. I haven't told everyone yet but we might need to be expecting trouble in the upcoming days. Can I count on you to help keep the others safe?"

Oboyo wasn't really sure what else to say to the girl, he simply watched her, the dog, and the man inquiring about his rune. The latter certainly received the most scrutinizing.

Oboyo thought about the reploid's question. "Well..I'm not exactly a free adventurer who can go out and..adventure. I'm only in town for a couple of days before I ship my..employees if you will..off to Caspia for a break."

Gizmo takes a look at a nearby clock "Hmm... I should make myself scarce before Mogwai gets back..." she mutters to nobody in particular, before heading off to the north.

Jax blinks and just sort of stares at Carmichael, before pointing at her throat, shaking her head. She hugs her dog and gives him little scratches on the butt.

Hastur cracks his knuckles and nods at Oboyo. "You can count on me, boss. If anyone tries to hurt my allies, I'll put 'em down."

"Ahh, I see" Carmichael ponders a moment, but, in a moment of sudden realization takes out one of his blank tomes, dragging his hand across its pages while whispering, a message begins to appear, "Hello"

Jax blinks and shakes her head, pointing at her throat again.

Finally feeling relaxed as the crowd began to taper off, Oboyo gave a respectful nod towards Hastur as he headed towards the inn. "We'll leave for Caspia in a couple of days, and don't tell anyone about what I said just yet. I'm going to turn in early..your room's already paid for whenever you're ready too. See you around, Hastur."

'See you 'round friend, remember you still have my card" Says Carmichael'

Hastur smiles and takes the hand, shaking it firmly. "Nice to meet you, sir. Hastur Xel'lotath, at your service." He then looks at the small girl, smiling warmly at her before nodding at Oboyo. "Alright. Later, boss."
