Free City, Truce - Fountain
A tiered fountain marks the center of Truce, water gushing from its
summit and trickling into a deep, wide basin, wrapped by a ring of benches.
Roads flow like rivers away from the fountain, and houses sprout like weeds
all around them. Not far to the east, the ocean roars in the harbor.

Even with the passing of the previous year, winter remains in full swing for what will likely be at least several more months here in Truce. On this particular day, however, the weather is a hair warmer than usual, even despite the evening hours. The sound of water dropping from melting icicles and spattering against the cobbles below housing foundations can be heard here and there, and the sky is devoid of cloud cover, allowing the stars to shine for at least the time being.

From the north, a hooded-coat-wearing man ambles along purposefully, adjusting the folds of his overwear and peeking out with a pair of bright eyes. On his shoulder, perched a bit carelessly, is a small white catlike creature, eyes following in the direction this man seems to be going, but nothing more. The sound of the man's heavy boots clomp through stone and puddle, and while not overly imposing, he stands fairly tall and unabashed.

Mogwai strolls into the center of Truce holding an electric guitar and pulling a portable amp behind her. She's grinning like a maniac, and whatever she has planned can't be good. She yells over to Eevee "Yo, ready for our first practice session?"

Even though she's dressed for winter, and making adjustments to her recently-acquired telescope in preparation to stargaze, Twilight Sparkle's expression doesn't show much in the way of joy, given the recent death of Rarity. "I'm going to miss those days, when we all got together to have fun... Rarity, I wish you were still here..."

Eevee could be seen sitting on a bench near the fountain, looking into it at his reflection. Once in a while, he would blink and find the face of a wolf glaring back at him rather than his own. Kalins ears laid back softly on his head, depressed not at what he had done but at what he had lost. He hoped that Mogwai wasn't taking it as hard as he was. As he could hear Mogwai's voice ringing in his ears, his fears passed. Slightly. He had a bad feeling about the object she was holding.

And then he remembered, she had been inspired by their recent trip to the festival to attempt some kind of band. "Vee! (Um..well..is this really the best place for that?)" asked Kalin, glancing nervously around the fountain at the various individuals who had gathered. (Eevee)

Stepping out of the inn and kicking a loose beer keg back inside, Tealion tighted his scarf slightly and headed for his nightly sit out by the fountain. He jumped up into a bench, taking out his heavy coin pouch and starting to count its silver and gold contents.

"Well, at least the weather is beginning to warm up. We suspect that it is only temporary, though." Helios seems to sigh as he comes into the square followed by the M85. The massive mechon shrugs and chirrups a reply as it sidesteps the hooded man and settles near the fountain.

Helios looks over at Kalin and Mogwai. "Is that an electric guitar?"

The horn on the ferry blared loudly as Oboyo stepped off of it, proceeding towards the town plaza while keeping an eye out. In his pockets were two gemlike objects, the last remnants of an important request. He couldn't spend as much time in Guardia this time, as he had business to tend to back at home. He planned on staying one night in Truce before heading back, provided he didn't find his target before then.

Oboyo then arrived into the fountain area, glancing at those who had gathered. Some faces were familiar, others were not. It was then that his eyes scrutinized the large fellow in the hood with the cat on his shoulder. Oboyo kept his distance initially, waiting to get a better look at the cat to see if it's the one he was looking for.

The hooded man stops for a moment near the fountain, tugging on one of his gloves, but not removing the article in question. "Wutai is recovering, at least. After what I assume to have been a near-genocide, the residents are making a decent comeback. You could imagine my and Miriam's surprise when we came home after the honeymoon, only to find three-fourths of the townsfolk as corpses. What kind of Yoma had that kind of power, anyway?" The cat-thing on his shoulder shakes its head, jingling golden rings around its earpendages. "A combinaed effort through corrupted means, and I mean that literally. It isn't often that Witches and Yoma lock arms, but when they do, the results are often terrifying beyond words. We lost... a veteran that day, as well." The thing's voice seems a bit distant, glancing westward from the man's shoulder, but the expression on its face doesn't change. "It was a sad day for many people, Johnathan."

"Excuse me, sir.." said Oboyo as he approached the man. Upon hearing the cat speak, he knew that fate had finally guided him the right way. "..Not to sound rude or anything, but you have a rather peculiar cat." Oboyo then reached into his left pocket, pulling out a dull, colorless gem. Before saying anything else, he hoped for a certain reaction out of the cat.

Mogwai beams "Of course it is!" succintly answering both questions posed to her. She sets down the amp and hands Eevee a harmonica before starting to tune the guitar. "Here, I got this for you. You just blow into different parts of it to make different sounds. Cool huh?"

With one eye close to the telescope's eyepiece, Twilight Sparkle takes notes in a magically suspended notepad with a pen, even as one ear flicks in the tallish man's direction. "Big Dipper's out... It's beautiful tonight... And even if she didn't understand, I lost one of my best friends, to that 'Wishborn' nonsense. How I'd like to see her again, even for just one day..."

"You all starting a band or something?" Helios hovers over as Mogwai pulls out a harmonica and gives it to Kalin. "We can provide feedback on how you all sound, if you would like."

Tealion continued to count, only partly paying attention to the man and the cat's conversation. After the incident with the robot skeleton, he felt it best to keep an open ear for any more local trouble, mainly because some of the coin he was counting were gifts from thankful citizens of Truce for that very night. Each coin clicked in a steady beat. Normally, Teal wouldn't be so proper and organized, but with matters of money, he was as careful as a Koopa could be.

Eevee grabs the haromica with his paws, examining it closely. Of course he knew what a harmonica was, Caleb used to have one! The very thought sent Kalin added towards Kalin's depression. Caleb would laugh mercilessly if he had seen Kalin trying to play one. Kalin took one more look around before attempting to play it, figuring out who all would be laughing at him.

There seemed to be enough people doing their own things and enough noise was in the air, perhaps he had no need to be embaressed at all. And anything that could help Mogwai forget what had happened was well worth doing. He gave Helios a quick nod, "Vee! (Alright! Um..let's try!)" before pulling the instrument to his lips and blowing into it.

Johnathan taps the side of his head briefly, before turning to acknowledge he who is requesting his attention. He peers first at Oboyo, then at Kyuubey, and nods openly at the former. "Why, yes, you could say that. From what I understand, that's one of the nicer choices of words you could use, too." He offered a small grin, seeming to ignore Twilight's criticism to him and his sect; it was likely he'd heard it all many times before, and would likely continue to hear it from many other sources too. Yes, 'Wishborn nonsense', indeed. The cat-creature's attention, however, was attained from the object Oboyo had removed from his person, however... or, perhaps it was something else. This man wasn't one of his contracts... what was he doing with it? A familiar exasperation started to settle within him, the kind a parent feels when they have to remind children for the umpteenth time not to take things that don't belong to them.

Oboyo smirked, there was no doubt now that he had succeeded. "I've heard things about you, cat. You have some pretty terrifying power, but I suppose that comes with one's desire to have their coveting fulfilled." said Oboyo as he turned his gaze back towards the colorless gem. "I suppose you know who this belonged to. I'm here on his behalf..it was his last request. He wanted these to be brought to you." He then reached into his right pocket, pulling out what appeared to be a black rock. He held it up as well to show to the cat.

Mogwai turns on the amp and gives the guitar a mighty strum! And then another, blindly messing around with the frets as she does so. What comes out is not terrible. Terrible understands it is bad and knows to stop. This bludgeoned Terrible to death with a brick and made a throne out of remains. It's simply that bad.

Tealion stopped counting, smiling as he retunred the coins to their pouch. His fortune was returning, slowly but surely, and he couldn't be happier about it. Slipping the pouch snuggly back into his shell, Tealion relaxed on the bench, letting out a content sigh that could be seen by anyone in the cold, winter air.

There's a sigh from Twilight Sparkle, as she pulls her attention from the telescope long enough to gaze at Johnathan. "You wouldn't understand the kind of connection I had to Rarity, and you know it as well as I do. Sometimes, being so studious means that you learn things that you wish you didn't have to learn. And here... I've learned what it means to lose a special friend. It hurts, a lot."

Helios stays silent for a long moment after that... demonstration. "That was..." He trailed off.

Helios says '... '

Helios says '...'

Helios says 'Perhaps you should take up baking instead, we hear that it is a worthwhile life skill.'

Kent enters the fountain area, donning his usual iron armor and tattered brown cloak. Oh his back is his charred wooden shield, and by his side his silvery sword still sits. Finding a nice empty bench he sits down and lights a cigar. Kent grabbed a cloth from his pocket and polishes his blade habitually.

Johnathan raised an eyebrow. Last request? So another one had fallen, too. It was a sad state of affairs, but one he was relatively familiar with by now. People seemed not to merely ask for aid when they needed it... pride before the fall, he supposed. He turned questioningly to Twilight, the pony who suddenly felt it necessary to pour out her heart to him. What was this all about, all of a sudden? And who was Rarity? He was more confused than anything else. Kyuubey, on the other hand, studied the two objects being shown to him, as a red circle pattern on his back suddenly begins to glow. "So, that was where he ended up. Fortunately, it seemed he was able to destroy Rarity before he perished, and this saves us the trouble of her lingering around the general public and affording the town her menace. Unfortunate as always, but this is how the world turns. You have my thanks for your inherent comraderie toward the fallen, in bringing these remnants to me."

Johnathan blinked, turning back toward Kyuubey again. "What? This 'Rarity' was a witch?"

Mogwai frowns at the guitar in her hands "I'm sure I'll get it if I mess around with it enough. It never looks that hard when I see other people play..." Nearby, a long-eared moogle in heavy armor and a fez is facepalming.

Tealion glanced over at Kent sitting down, smiling and reaching over to give his arm a friendly slug. "'Ey, Mate. What brings you out in the cold weather?" He asked, a tankard of ale appearing in his hand out of thin air.

"He went through a lot. You may or may not of realized what kind of guy he was when you granted his wish..but that's all in the past now. I was surprised when he expressed the desire to visit this one.." said Oboyo, holding the darker gem. "..considering the shape he was in. I don't know their connection, but it must have been pretty powerful for him to succeed alone."

Oboyo then extended the gems towards Johnathon and Kyuubey, "He'll live on in our memories. And I hope you people don't lose anymore good men and women, doing the things you do. I have my own fight to fight, and I'm sure I'll be losing just as many."

Shaking her head, Twilight Sparkle returns to the telescope and her stargazing research, even as a single tear falls from her right eye. "For once... I'm wondering if there's something more to friendship - some deeper level that I don't comprehend... Is it really just magic, or something more...?"

Eevee cringed as he listened to Mogwai's horrible sound. Did his sound just as bad? He decided not to say anything, in favor of not hurting Mogwai's feelings.

Helios finishes recalibrating his audio receptors as Mogwai finishes speaking. "Perhaps you could look into some professional lessons?" He seems to shrug.

Helios turns to Kalin. "We are sorry, but we couldn't hear you over Mogwai's amp. Would you mind trying again?"

Fiszeradin slithered his way through the snow towards the fountain, wincing slightly at the cold that seeped through his fur, about half his bandages having been removed by Selan by now, but that still left a lot of bandaging. The serpent gave a quiet hiss as one of the slightly less healed spots brushed the snow. He ignored it after a moment and proceeded to the fountain, also doing his best to ignore the murder of not only the poor instrument, but of his hearing too, his earfins folded back.

Johnathan just glances at Twilight out of the corner of his eye, still not understanding fully what the deal was. He'd have to ask Kyuubey later, but he didn't really care enough to find himself in the middle of anything at this moment. He accepted the colorless gem, since Kyuubey really had no use for it, but the cat-creature itself accepted the empty Grief Seed, depositing it swiftly within the portal that glowed upon its back side as was the normal custom. "Death is inevitable for most all things. But we do what we can to try and both lessen the pain of loss, and stretch the boundaries of birth and decease as far apart as possible." The red ring on Kyuubey's back abruptly stops glowing, thus.

Johnathan sighs. "It's often easier just to disavow these things that happen, especially when they are so commonplace. People bringing them up and reminding us of our fate doesn't serve to perform any favors for us." Johnathan tugs on his hood, glancing up at Oboyo and offering a nod as he strides past, heading southward and taking Kyuubey with him. He wasn't too keen on leaving Miriam alone for long periods of time, anyway, and this was just another reminder and reason why.

"Fresh air. I've been spending too much time in the library," Kent answered Tealion. He had been looking through a lot of the books at the library, barely being able to avoid contact with the librarian. The purple steed and Kent still didn't get along since their first encounter. "Thought I needed a smoke."

Mogwai continues to tinker with her guitar some more "Nah, lessons suck. I'm sure I'll--" "No. Just, no." says the other moogle "You have three choices here. You stick to dancing and stop making a fool of yourself, I kick your ass and break that guitar over your head, or you get some lessons from me, kupo."

Tealion nodded in agreement. "Aye. I needed to shuffle out of the bar for a few minutes myself. That, and the barkeep doesn't like me using my own ale in his establishment." He said with a chuckle, taking a drink from his tankard while taking a quick look at the goings-on around the fountain tonight.

'Come on, just put it out of your mind... Rarity made this choice, even if it did end up killing her. There will be sadness, but... Just move on,Twilight Sparkle.' With that thought, the Magic-bearing unicorbrarian just sighs and returns fully to stargazing, folding her ears flat long after the rather lackluster attempt to perform.

Helios blinks. "Oh, hello there Gizmo. Sorry we didn't notice you over there." He sureptitiously moves out from between the two moogles, just in case. "How are you?"

Oboyo remained silent as Johnathan and Kyuubey passed by him. His deed was done, and their affairs were not his to discuss. 'Just because it's common doesn't make it right.' Oboyo had thought to himself, as he shook his head and put his hands in his pockets. He took another look around the crowd at the fountain, smirking as he remembered Rhakashka's warning about the place.

Oboyo then kept to himself as he proceeded eastwards, back towards the ferries. He wasn't looking forward to a ferry ride again so quickly, but such was fate.

Fiszeradin slithered his way over to the Koopa he recognized, smiling some "Well, so long as it isn't another potion, I'm up for more brilliant ideas to help me heal." his eyes were bright and mirthful as he gave a quiet hiss of a chuckle "Who is your friend by the way?" he looked over kent as he stopped a short ways away, a light misting of steam beginning to rise from his coat.

Eevee found himself conflicted as he approached Gizmo. Why were they even talking to his broad again? Still, she made Mogwai's horrible noise stop, which was fine by him.

Kahleen emote wanders into the fountain from the south, seeming slightly distraught and distant. She even forgot to conceal the direction she would arrive at the fountain from! Kahleen mopes along to a fountain bench and seats her self there. Her hand fidgets idly around with a broken piece of rock as she scopes out the truce crowd and possibly the goodies they may have brought with them.

Tealion gave the same smile to Fizzeradin. "Rez! Nice to see you're still slithering around." He nodded towards Kent, "This here is Kent, we met at the festival. Alright man if you ask me."

Gizmo smiles at Helios "Oh, boring. Seems lately I'm spending more time in the past than the present. There's no sense of urgency when you already know how everything happens. I've taken up travelling just to go places I don't know about. Also taken up hobbies, like music." she turns Mogwai's way "Hint hint."

After about fifteen more minutes, Twilight Sparkle puts the telescope away, turning to look at everyone present and trotting over to Kent with a sincerely apologetic expression. "Well... I'd better see what I can do about that first meeting... Because that was all kinds of bad..."

"How has that time machine been working for you when you do travel, anyway?" Helios still stands slightly out of the way of the two moogles. "We built it on an idea more than a working theroy, so we were wondering about that."

"Whats wrong, Kahleen?" Kahleen starred off into the crowd, not really processing what was going on or what she was looking at. "Its about your stuff missing? I'm sure it will turn up when you least expect it to." Kahleen paid...herself...no mind. Kahleen suddenly gasped as she spotted a wild Kent. She popped to her feet and looked as if she was going to run to him but she hesitated.

Kahleen lifted her annoying robe to her knees and gracefully heel-toed it in his direction. "Where have you been? I feel like you've been hiding on the other side of the world or something!" she said as he continued in his direction, not even sure if he's spotted her yet.

Kalin looked over his harmonica again. Would they have to take up lessons from the weirdo moogle? He brought the harmonica to his lips one more time. 'Focus. You watched Caleb do this nearly evening.' Kalin thought to himself as he closed his eyes and blew into the harmonica. The sound exitting the instrument was soft and steady, in control of itself. (Eevee)

Kent attempted to respond to Tealion, but then he noticed Kahleen walk towards him. He immediately froze up. He had been in Viorar for the festival, acting as the legal guardian for Kimen, but failed to tell her he was going. "Hey there Kahlee- Consiland! I umm... Yeah I wasn't avoiding you." He blushed, awkward for the knight. His cigar dropped to the ground. "YOu're still wearing that dress I see. It's still cute, y'know."

Fiszeradin slithered over to Tealion and gave a quiet hiss, whispering a little loudly at the koopa "His partner in courtship I assume? he tilted his head at the human warrior, looking back and forth between him and the woman striding toward him.

Tealion shrugged "Suppose so. I knew he has one, but I hadn't seen her yet." He looked Kahleen over twice. "Gotta say, she's quite a looker."

Mogwai rolls her eyes before conceding "Fine. If you insist we take the boring route." Gizmo smiles "Excellent, tomorrow I'll start teaching you about power slides and jumping into a mosh pit. That's the most important bits. Eevee can come too if he wants." (c)

She turns her attention to Helios "It's working ok. As I said when we assembled it, it's less manipulating time, and more reversing the affects of previous time manipulation. Hence why I can't use it to freely go where I want, nor get it to work for anybody else. All it does is return me where I belong. And that's just fine." (Mogwai)

As she gets closer to Kent, Twilight Sparkle smiles nervously, slowing her trot as a sense of unease settles in her mind. 'Here goes...' "I, um... Wanted to apologize for giving you a bad first impression of me, and see if we could get along a little better..."

Helios nods. "Well, we are glad to know that it is working the way it is supposed to..." Helios trails off. "Wait, you are going to teach her ahow to actually PLAY the guitar, right?"

Using his focus and control over his breath, Kalin moved the harmonica back and forth to get a feel for the different notes. He tried to remember one of the simpler songs the villagers would sing around the fire. 'Right..how did that song go again? Umm..' thought Kalin as he took a deep breath, thinking of the lyrics as he went. (Eevee)

'The sun hovers ahead, silently as Mr. Mime. Its rays bear down dread, frozen in time. For the colors of the world have long been lost. For greed encompassed the mighty and time was the cost. But for thooooooose who surviiiiived. Brought forth rooooooses reviiiiiived. And the Lord of Time demands sacrifice. We look inward and hope that it alone will suffice.' (Eevee)

Kalin opened his eyes, pulling the harmonica away from his lips. It was far from perfect, he missed a few notes and lost beat briefly. But when years of listening to music was one's only way to spend the evenings, one picks up things that they wouldn't have expected. (Eevee)

Fiszeradin snickered some, tilting his head the other way before he made his way over to the fountain "I suppose, yes. Her colors are quite bright for a human." he leaned in to drink a few pawfuls of the water from the fountain, keeping his left paw and the bandage on it dry.

Kahleen continued to heal-toe it to kent for only a few more moments before she made it to him. She gripped him tightly in a hug and held back tears. "...There, there...You will get your stuff back, I just know it. Boy, do I know it." "What makes you so sure? The thief could have made it miles, hundreds of miles away by now...How do you know huh?" Kaleen said to...Kent apparently. "Maybe its been pawned off to a shop around here, hmm?"

Kahleen would hold onto Kent like he was her object of comfort, though he might have no idea what was really going on. Her had was buried into Kent's chest and her head was turned to the side. As her eyes opened to a voice directed at Kent, she took in the sight of a Koopa. Kahleen removed herself from the embrace and narrowed her eyes as she looked down upon the Koopa. "Do I amuse you? Is something about me mock worthy? I should think so, you might very well be the reason I am LIKE THIS!"

Kahleen reached for her leg to grab a dagger only to be reminded that she was unarmed. "Looks like its your lucky day, rabbit!" "Turtle?" "RABBIT!", Kahleen shouted down to Tealion.

Tealion paused for a moment, then took a drink like nothing happened. He was used to woman yelling at him, he's never quite gotten 'Politeness' and 'Being a gentleman' down pat. "Rabbit? Really now? Rabbit?"

Kent was caught by surprise and Kahleen's embrace. She seemed very happy to see him, despite him being worried that she could have so easily been angry. He, as usual, was still confused at her voice talking, responding to him as if he had said something else. It was a rather charming characteristic of her. She always made him smile.

As he heard the steed speak to him, kent turned. "Yes, it's been awhile. YOu're kind is unknown to me, and you're witchcr-" He caught himself, "Magic, was a little upsetting. I'm sorry for my actions. Yo have a very nice library, perhaps one day you could help me find a book that I am trying to find. It's one about religions, I want to know if anyone else from where I'm from has passed through here..."

Kent heard Kahleen shout at Tealion. The two began to grow angry and Kahleen seemed to be reaching for a dagger. Kent abandoned his conversation with twilight to intervene. "I'm sorry dear," Kent qucikly turned his head towards Tealion. "Sir, Tealion, correct? Consiland here has had some things stolen from her. I don't recall you mocking her, but she's at a very stressful state in her life." Back to Kahleen, "Calm down, dear. Tell me what's wrong. I can help you. But please, calm down."

Gizmo claps for Eevee "Very nice, I'd for-- didn't know you played. And I DO intend to teach Mogwai how to play eventually, once she has the important parts down. All will be well, and all manner of things will be well."

"That was very good, Kalin! You sounded a bit funny there in the middle but you could be a real star with some practice!" Helios simulates some appaluse noise.

'Well, that's a relief...' Twilight Sparkle nods, making a mental note to stock up on more religious texts as she listens. "I'll be more than happy to help you. Just come by whenever you have the chance." And Kent's turning away, so the unicorbrarian retrieves a small checklist from her right saddlebag.

Fiszeradin turned as he heared the raised voices, tensing for the briefest of moments before he relaxed and slithered back to the turtle "Maybe leave the two loverfish alone?"

Fiszeradin says ' It is correct, they make kissy faces at each other?'

Tealion shrugged and tossed the empty tankard over his shoulder. The tankard vanished in a puff of brown smoke before it hit the ground and Teal leaned back slightly. "Maybe, but a stolen item sounds vaugely familiar to me. Lots of theives pass through the inn, I might have seen it trade hands, or something." He said. Subtlety is also not one of his stronger suits.

Kahleen instinctively reached for a dagger on her leg again but might have just played it off as simply scratching her leg. She REALLY wanted a sharp and pointy thing to point at the rabbit's condescending mouth. "Slow and steady wins the ring around...the great fall? I forget how that goes..." Kahleen spouted off out of nowhere. "What are you talking about?!" Kahleen screamed at the Koopa, "MY STUFF IS MISSING! Where is it, huh?"

Kahleen went to put her hands into her pocket but the pocket wasnt there, nor the calming and embroidered words 'Don't Panic'. It was possibly apparent she was a bit out of sorts this night, or even more likely, more of herself then she would like to lead on. Kent's words spead the sort of calm Kahleen was looking for in the first place. She took a few deep breaths as her eyes were closed. When she reopened them she smiled softly at the Koopa.

Kahleen says, "Hello there, Hoppy. My name is...What was it you said?.." "Consiland?" "DSilly me! I'm Consiland, Tippy-Lion and is has been a pleasure meeting your acquaintance." Kahleen lifted her robe, crossed one foot in front of the other and choreographed a perfect courtesy to the Koopa. "Any help you could offer would be appreciated. Thank you...Tipping-Lion."

Kalin smiled towards Helios' response, but his left ear twitched towards Gizmo's. Something seemed strange about her response, but he wrote it off, feeling that Helios' praise was more important. "Vee! (Thank you! That was my favorite song. Caleb used to play the harmonica for the other villagers..)" (EeveE)

Kalin then sighed, "Eevee.. (I hope he's okay..wherever he is..I feel so useless, letting time waste away while he could be out suffering somewhere..)" Kalin then closed his eyes and brought the harmonica closer once more, practicing the parts that he messed up the first time. (Eevee)

"Calm down, already. For one thing, I have no idea what you're looking for, and another thing, it's Teal-leion, the accent is one the 'L'." Tealion said, trying to keep a straight face and not complain about people mispronouncing a simple name, out loud at least.

Mogwai sighs "Ok... I'll get my stuff ready for tomorrow. I'm guessing you know how this turns out?" Gizmo nods "...don't suppose you'd tell me?" Gizmo shakes her head. "Spoillers!"

"Now..." Twilight Sparkle turns to look at Kalin, trotting over with a warm smile as she retrieves her notepad with her magic. "Let's see... Religion section, music section, history section, magic section, warfare section, medical section, cooking section, science section, agriculture section... That should be all I need to get started with the library, once it's built... Oh, and hi there."

Kent was impressed at Kahleen's courtsey. Kent had been trained in some ways as a gentleman while in the Legio Aurea, and her knowledge of such finer thinger surprised him. "Good to see you two a friends now." Kent unhooked his cloak from his neck and wrapped it around Kahleen's shoulders. "Here, take this for now. You look cold in that dress, despite how pretty it is."

Kalin's sulking was interrupted as the unicornbrarian's words entered his ears. He opened his eyes and looked towards her, feeling something was familiar about her. Wait, wasn't she..? Yes! It was Twilek Stark, the one helped Mogwai obtain Salamando's and Lumina's blessings! "Eevee. (Oh, hello again, Twilek. I haven't seen you around much.)" said Kalin as he stole a glance towards Mogwai, not wanting to ignore her but she seemed busy with Gizmo. (Eevee)

Helios seems to smile. "We are sure that he is happy, wherever he may be." Helios listens to Kalin's music for a moment before the little fox-thing hits the wrong note again. "Maybe that harmonica is out of tune?" Helios shrugged and turned to the M85. "Well, that was a good and long break, its time to get back to repairs." The two head off north.

Fiszeradin reached forward to lightly tap tealion on the shoulder, clearing his throat some "You said something about a bar? I think that may be a good plan..."

"Tealion...I'll remember that, for sure!" "Yes, yes. Remember your enemies and know them well, Kahleen. You are finally starting to learn." "nemy? What in blazes are you talking about?" Kahleen said randomly, possibly to herself. "Your equipment comes up missing, this koopa notices you are off and even comments on it and then offers information on some thieving activity that he may have spotted...Coincidence? I think not."

Kahleen says "I see. So, play along until he reveals something that could, in turn, devastate him?" to the Koopa, maybe. Kahleen accepted Kent's cloak, though she wasn't cold. In fact, she found the air to be somehow more...fresh. "Ghee. Thank you, Kent. That was pretty sweet of you...And is this a style statement as well? So, it isnt all guts, glory, and 'NEVER MISTREAT A LADY', is it?" she said playfully, even trying to mimic Kent's voice but doing a horrible job.

Gizmo starts packing up her things "Anyway, I suppose I need to get some supplies ready. I'll see you tomorrow." Mogwai waves the time traveler off before turning her attention to Eevee "Well, I hope this turns out alright. What's your thoughts on all this?"

"Suppose I should get back to journeying with you, since it's been a long while..." With a quiet giggle, the Magic-bearing unicorn sets her notepad down, lifting both ears and using one forehoof to playfully ruffle Kalin's fur. "And, even if it doesn't do much good... My name's Twilight Sparkle. And hey, Mogwai."

Tealion got the feeling that Kahleen wasn't quite straight in the head, but shrugged it off with it being Truce fountain and everything, "Look, Lassie, I'm not your enemy, and I don't plan on making it that way..." 'I don't like to fight crazy laides anyway.' He thought "So I'd love to help you out, besides, I'm sort of a local hero nowadays... Sort of."

Kent smiled at Kahleen. "Well, if you would prefer me being all guts and glory, I can be..." Kent gently grasped her hand and held it to his lips. His kissed her ahdn gently before he let it fall away. "I do, however, have a way of being more refined at times."

Fiszeradin hissed again in something of a sigh "I do not get the feeling she particularly cares much for any heroes, but your friend." he shook his head and slithered past Kahleen and Kent as he headed in the general direction of the bar, particularly wondering if he would fit in the establishent.

Kalin refrained from making a disgruntled face as Twilight stroked his fur. Individuals had grown far too comfortable with violating his personal space due to his cuteness, but he had good manners. (Eevee)

Eevee then turned his attention from Twilek--err Twilight back to Mogwai, "Vee. (On her mysterious foreknowledge or us forming a band?)" asked Kalin, unsure of which thoughts she'd like to hear. He certainly had a mouthful to say on the former.

His ears perked up as soon as she mentioned her name, "Vee! (Oh! I thought it was Twilek for some reason. Huh, I met someone with that name not too long ago. I wonder where she wound up..)" mumbled Kalin, sad that he and Mogwai left so quickly after their visit to the Beast Kingdom. They didn't exactly have time to say and goodbyes. (EeveE)

Eevee then turned his attention from Twilek--err Twilight back to Mogwai, "Vee. (On her mysterious foreknowledge or us forming a band?)" asked Kalin, unsure of which thoughts she'd like to hear. He certainly had a mouthful to say on the former.

Kahleen turned and looked at Tealion. "Your plans might find themselves left for dead, little Koopa." Kahleen said down to the turtle. She shook her head seeming surprised she said that. Its wasn't really her. Kahleen asked the unseen, "How'd you do that?" "Wow! I'm not really sure, dear." "That was REALLY weird and you should try your best to make sure things like that dont leak out, okay?" Kahleen spoke with some concern in her voice.

Kahleen drug her mouth to one side. "Sorry, Tippy. I dont know why I said that." "Tealion." "Tealion, I mean, of course." she said smiling at the Koopa. Kahleen's attention was pulled away as Kent kissed her hand. Those butterflies started to flutter in her stomach. As her hand was freed she moved it to Kent's neck and pulled him down into a kiss. After she withdrew, for a few moments she rested his forehead on hers. She smiled at him. "Lets just down play the guts and glory for a bit, before

Kahleen says ' before you run off to swing your sword at some other proclaimed demon."'

Mogwai chuckles "Well... a little of both I suppose. I've accepted her story about being from the future, honestly it seems to hold up given her... erratic behavior. But there's one thing I don't get: She seemed all too ready to teach me. But she's yet to say what she's getting out of this."

Tealion sighed a little bit. This was going to be one of his crazier escapades, he could tell. "Just tell me what it is you're after and I'll keep my eyes out for it. Deal?"

Twilight Sparkle nods, packing her telescope up and preparing to head back to her temporary library-home. "Well, I suppose I should head to sleep - come by the tree-fort if you ever want to visit, or see what it is I do, alright?"

As much as Kent was tempted to just let this moment linger, he knew he was around the public fountain, and a certain pirate turtle was also in their conversation. "Alright, but just for awhile. Your father is probably growing impatient with my inability to find is bunny problem." Kent pulled away so that they wouldn't make any more of a scene.

Kalin nodded towards Twilight, "Eevee. (Uh..okay.)" He didn't want to rush her off, but it was time to have a serious talk with Mogwai. Who knows, he could be bored enough sometime to take the unicorn up on her offer. "Eevee! (Have a good night!)" said Kalin before turning back towards Mogwai. (Eevee)

"Vee. (I don't trust her, haven't ever since that incident with the robot and the pony. She's always one step ahead of us and she knows things she shouldn't. What does she even want with you?)" asked Kalin, revealing the dissent he's been harboring for some time. (Eevee)

"See? You cant even have your little moment wit Kent. The little turtle seems confused as to what it is he stole from you. Remind him so he'll just retreat." Kahleen smiled at the Koopa. "Lesse. My hoodie, my mask, two vials of corrosive acid(but dont fret over those as they can be replaced), some tattered pants, a few handfuls of smoke and nerve gas bombs, a pocket grappling gun, a pokeball, a box of toothpicks,"

Kahleen took a deep breath before she continued. "A bottle of pills, a bottle of bloo-er I mean pills again, and a crazy amount of various daggers. Like a CRAZY amount. I am like...Crazy in-love with my daggers. she said wondering if she left anything out. Maybe not. "Thank you, in advance, for anything you may be able find out, Tippy." "Really...Listen to yourself. Its TEALION, got it?" "Sheesh! Sorry! TEEEEALIIIIIIIION" she said correcting herself.

Kahleen looked at Kent with an eyebrow raised. "Bunny problem? Pah-Whatever. Its my dad we're talking about. Dont get me wrong. I love him but he is...Wow, he is BOOOORIN-wait...He's kind of a stalker. I should watch what I say, I guess." Kahleen checked her surrounding, maybe she would spot him? No. "Besides, if you are determined, I sure you'll find the...Bunny?" She asked looking down at Tealion. "Thats a Koopa or turtle. "Oh..."

Mogwai ponders on this "Well... assuming her story is correct, it'd explain why she's a step ahead of us: She already knows what's going to happen. I hadn't noticed until you mentioned it but... she does seem to take an interest in us, doesn't she? She's shady, no doubt about it. But I've yet to see her do anything malicious."

Eevee nods in agreement to Kahleen.

"Eevee. (In the wild, waiting for the predator to make its move only makes you food. I don't know if you remember it or not, but she said that she would someday cause us to experience the worst day of our lives. If she's not dangerous, why does she hide so much from us?)" asked Kalin, pawing his harmonica with a slight bit of frustration. (Eevee)

Kent chuckled politely. "The rabbit had inconvinient timing. I got the job right as winter started and I don't umm..." Kent coughed, as to hide his embarassment. "I am not particularly fond of the cold." Kent looked around. "I should probably finish the hunt as soon as I can, anyway. I'm growing rather low on funds again and it's rude to keep showing up at your house because I can't keep a job."

Eevee snickers with Kent about their shared secret.

Tealion ran through the list of things in his head. "I think I saw someone bragging about a set of daggers he filtched a few weeks ago." He raised his hand to Kent's sitting hieght. "'Bout yeh tall. Had a nice hood on, looked like a Moogle from where I was sitting."

Mogwai tries to recall that past warning "I believe she said something else as well. Something about how we shouldn't worry, because great joy will follow? Some poetic bullshit like that."

Kahleen looked at Kent with some concern. "Hell yeah its rude. We keep taking on new free loaders. Our house is turning in...to...a shelt..." Kahleen paused when she realized what was coming out of her mouth. She raised an open hand, reached out, and brought it back in with a hard slap to her own face. "STOP IT!" she shouted. "I'm sorry! I didnt mean for it to actually come out."

Kahleen gasped. "THE MOOGLE!" <---> "THE MOOGLE!" Kahleen said feeling her heart sink a little. She couldnt be mad at moogle for she did kill him after all. Was this revenge? Well, sounds like an even trade maybe. "Thats...Thats a good start, Tealion." She looked at Kent. "I'm sorry Kent. Contrary to what I said, you can come over anytime you'd live. I would honestly like to see ya more and you know where I live. Its not a good night for me, tonight. I think I'm gonna go lay in bed now"

Kalin tried to think back, but to no avail. "Eevee.. (I don't remember that part..regardless, we should be careful around her. As for the other topic..um..I don't know any songs outside of the ones I grew up with..and I think that you--er we could use some more practice.)" (Eevee)

Kent felt as if a knife was plunged into his heart. It took him awhile to realise what had just happened. He looked rather concerned at her. "Kahl-" oh wait, public, "Consiland, if something is wrong, tell me. I know it's stereotypical to say, but I'm here for you. You're acting rather strange." He held her close for a moment, to give her a comforting kiss on her forehead. "Get your rest, dear. I hate to see you so upset like this."

Mogwai nods in agreement "Well, thankfully I know plenty of songs. I can teach a few to you tonight, and get some practice playing them tomorrow. Shall we head out then?"

Kahleen removed the cloak, reached up and brought it over Kent's head. "Here. You'll need this more than I will. After all the climate here is your second weakness. Dont worry, I keep your second a secret." She said kind of droned. "Its just...Its nothing. I'll figure it out and when my theories come out of orbit and land on some solid ground, I'll let you in. Right now everything is kinda...Crazy." "Interesting choice of words." "...Shut up. I'm in no mood for your jokes.

Kahleen gave Kent yet another quick hug before she glance up at him and conjure a smile. She dropped her head and turned to the south road, holding her robe up to her knees, she started walking. "Sorry about that tid-bit back there, Kahleen." "Yeah? And just what was that? How long have you been able to do that?" Kahleen asked herself. "Well, I'm not sure. It comes in spurts." "Have you ever taken full control?" Kahleen leaves the fountain scene rambling to herself.

Tealion watched Kahleen walk away, another tankard of ale in his hand. "Quite the lass you've got, Kent. Makes me wonder how you two even met." He said, taking a swig a ale, offering another tankard to Kent.

Eevee nodded towards Mogwai and leapt off of his bench to join her, "Eevee. (Sounds good to me. By the way, what's up with that unicorn? I think she's totally into me. And where's Julexa? Also I'm hungry. Hey, did I ever tell you about that time I ate Kar'ra's lunch when I was doing an errand for him?)" babbled Kalin as he looked around for Mogwai's bus, or wherever it was they were going.

Mogwai starts to answer Eevee's questions, getting interrupted each time, before just shrugging and leading the way to her bus.

Kent accepted the ale from Tealion. He was concerned when Kahleen walked away, he hated to see her so upset, but she knew how to take care of herself. "That's a umm... long story. Tell ya what, I rent a room at the Inn. How about we warm up in the tavern downstairs and I'll tell you there? It's pretty funny when I think about it." He took a gulp of the ale. "It started with one of these." Kent indicated the tankard as he began to walk south.

Tealion slugs Kent's arm once again. "Now you're speakin' my language." He followed alongside him, drinking more ale. "Can't wait to hear one of your drunk stories. Best stories ever told, in my humblr opinion." He started to ranble as he too took the south road to the inn.
