Jillian glanced once again toward the spot in the sky where the Fortress once loomed, nothing remaining of the terror that had plagued the Cleft for a time before. She then glanced behind her, back into the cave where they had left Sunflash, in their haste to see what had become of the aforementioned Fortress, and mused. "Given the fight he put up, I'm willing to bet he'll be fine. But if it nags at your conscience, we can drag him somewhere more civilized." Jillian tipped her head in the cave's direction, indicating what and who she was referring to.

Gforte also shares a look up to the sky, before letting out a sigh. "Yeah, yeah. Suppose we should drag the mouthy bastard out of the wolf's path." Gforte shifts the weapons attached to his back for a moment, before stepping over to the passed-out Sunflash and picking the mage up, piggyback style. "Fuckin' bastard's heavier than he looks. Let's get this done quick Jill."

Jillian follows Gforte into the cavern, scratching the back of her head lightly when he didn't even ask for help in carrying him. But hey, y'know, whatever. Instead, she turned and fiddled with something on a nearby wall, causing a portion of it to slide away and reveal a door leading elsewhere, which she opens with ease. "At least we ended up near a settlement. It could have been less fortuitous if we'd landed in the middle of Lorien Highlands or some other wilderness." She stepped through, opting to take the lead and find a location to deposit the exhausted mage.

Gforte follows Jillian silently for a few moments, shifting Sunflash's unconcious body on his back a few times to get it comfortable before he speaks again, this time his voice sounding a little far away. "It feels a bit weird. Almost can't believe everything boiled down like that. I mean, is it really over?"

Jillian allows herself an unseen smirk. "It sure seems that way. I'm guessing anyone who goes up against a world-ending situation and comes out the victor is inclined to feel that way, but I understand. At least for now, it seems so. Who knows what other crazy entites might come around later? We'll cross that bridge when we get to it." She stopped for a moment, scanning the line of buildings along a stretch of green that was Monstro Town, and perked up. "I know just the spot. This way, Haut."

Jillian continued on down the line, not moving too fast considering his baggage.

Gforte grunts to himself. 'We' huh? That's another thing that still didn't feel real to him yet. Though with as many openings as there were in the context of that statement, it was hard to tell just what she meant. "Typical Jill." He shakes his head before making his way steadily behind the woman before him. "I've got some gold on me still, we can just throw him in one of the rooms of their Inn, if they have one."

Jillian shakes her head. "They don't, unfortunately. But I know a place." She stops in front of an old building, looking it up and down for a moment before pushing the creaky door open, and nods. "In here." There was a small, smug looks on her face following Haut's comment about her behavior, as if she was pleased at it being noticed.

Jillian steps into the room and out of the doorway, to allow Haut inside; it's not a big room, and it smells really old and kind of musty. But there IS a fairlylarge bed in the middle of it. And, uh.. nothing else.

Gforte steps in, and examines the inside of the room before raising an eyebrow. "Old haunt of yours Jill? You seem pretty sure of this place." Instead of dumping Sunflash on the bed, Gforte kneels again, and pushes the unconcious mage into a sitting position against the wall. After making sure he won't fall, Gforte then steps over to the bed and examines it curiously.

Gforte says ' Why do I get the feeling a lot of men might have seen this bed before?'

Jillian laughs a bit loudly, apparently unconcerned of waking Sunflash in the process. At least it seemed genuine. It breaks down into giggles, which she gradually curbs after covering her mouth to do so. Still grinning, she shakes her head. "Very observant of you, and I could understand your reasoning. But no, this isn't anything of mine. It actually belongs to a bunch of ghosts, but they won't bother him. At least, if they know what's good for them."

Jillian looks up at Haut, with a small chuckle of still-residing humor. "In such instances, I was always the visitor. I never had a 'place' of my own."

Gforte gives Jillian his own grin, apparentaly pleased to have amused her so. "Well if you're interested, I've got more than a few. Some even legally purchased." The comment almost comes off as a joke, but it falters somewhere along the line, and Gforte reaches up to scratch at the back of his head. He mentally chides himself for being able to quell a demi-god uprising, but not being able to make smalltalk with Jillian.

Jillian tilts her head. "Is that so? Why the massive interest in junkyards and such, then, if you have your own domiciles?"

Gforte pats down the bed to make sure it's not rotting or falling apart, and then picks up Sunflash, transporting him over to the singular fixture of the room. "For the exact same reason this guy here is wearing someone else's skin as armor. A grab for the past." Gforte ponders the mage for a moment, wondering if he should strip the armor before letting the man sleep, but he shakes his head. "It's where I feel useful, and where someone once told me my skills lie. In those junkyards I can create, and make useful objects out of old and ruined things." Gforte sighs before stepping back, and giving you a half-assed grin. "I suppose it just boils down to me waxing romantic and wanting to believe I'm more use outside the battlefield."

Jillian looks at Sunflash for a moment at the mention of wearing someone else's skin. Indeed, that was a reploid's arm, wasn't it? Aura had the same kind of problem. Sort of. She was just a little less blatant about showing it off. "It's a comfort thing, then. I wasn't attempting a derogatory stance, I just wondered." Jillian pauses, looking up at him again with a small sigh. "I'm going to get a chance to learn a lot more about mortals in the coming days, I think. I may have seen the vast majority of the world, but its citizens are still rather... elusive to me. Or rather, their typical mortal habits are. It will take some getting used to." For a moment, she looked a little shy upon herself; someone who wasn't sure, for the briefest of moments, what to do in a world that was relatively new to her.

Gforte steps over to Jillian, and sets a hand on her shoulder. "Ey. I can't say I'll be the best study subject, but if you get any questions, ask me. I'll do my best to help you out, alright?"

Jillian smiles and nods, leaning over to give him a peck on the cheek. "Thanks, I do appreciate that. That was somethign I was going to ask next; what are your plans from here? It seems like you fulfilled quite a bit of your needs and desires by besting the Sinistrals. What will you do, now?"

Gforte reaches up, and rubs at his cheek. Not like he was trying to rub it off, more that he was surprised. "Uh. I don't know." Gforte settles back into thought, a bit mollified from this revalation. His concentration is broken by a slight cough, and he reaches up to rub at his chest. "Hell, I guess I'll just live for a while. If you've got anything in particular you wanna do, we could do taht first."

Jillian thinks for a moment, but not overly long. "That's difficult for me. I didn't really have a purpose other than being the 'other half' of a full Goddess. I lost my right to my own life when I was captured and assimilated during Helsing's assault on Lord Dracula's castle. Ever since then, I've simply been a messenger, and a power source. Lillian will no doubt remain behind in the Holyland as a protector, but she won't be as prevalent as before. In giving me my own life, she essentially cut her capabilities in half." Jillian doesn't seem to actually realize she's gona off on a tengent from Gforte's statement. "That was why I followed you. Eventually I learned to use my own eyes and see what I wanted to see, and why I grew to have faith in you. But since my capture those several centuries ago, I've never been my own person. It's kind of... strange."

Gforte grins. "Hey, that's an answer more than anything. You wanna learn how to be your own person. Come on then." Gforte steps to the door, and opens it up, pausing to look back at Jillian with a confident grin. "Then let's go taste the world with our senses. I'll show you what there is to experience in this world. If you still plan on walking beside me that is."

Jillian glances down at Sunflash again for a brief moment, and smiles to herself as she looks at at Gforte, with a nod. "Thank you, Haut." She crosses the room to join him, spaded tail wafting about her backside. "Wherever you decide to lead, I will follow. Unless it's off a cliff. Then we might have a problem."
