Dio squinted as he looked down at the repurposed mill, banking for another pass to make sure this was the place that the pamphlet described. "Looks like I can land in that field there..." He grumbled irritably while he fought with the controls as another sudden bout of turbulence sprang up. "What is with this place? The air is crazy up here."

With that, Dio shook his head and dove for the field. Once he touched down, he sprang out of the pilot seat and looked around with a slight frown. "Let's see, where is the welcome desk?"

Manchester was in the mill, speaking with his boss and examining his place of work. However, he was also scanning for thoughts, making sure to know if anyone new shows up. He turns as soon as the new mind comes into the general area. "We got some new company, boss."

Elessar waved it off and continued his paperwork "I'm sure someone else will get to it. You'd have probably let me know if they were putting off 'bad vibes' or however it works. Besides, I do have a few normal guards out there after all.".

Though, the guard approaching the man was significantly less than normal, besides her blue uniform and cap she held a wand out toward the pilot as she approached "This is -not- an airstrip! What were you thinking plowing through the turbulent field like that?" she seemed not only flustered but irritated as well. (elessar).

Dio frowns. "That's what that was? Some way to welcome guests! I thought that was just a nasty front up there." He touches his collar, allowing his helmet to collapse back into it. "Anyway, I'm here to take to whoever runs the courier part of this... operation. Would you be a dear and take me to him?" Dio smiles brilliantly at the guardwoman.

Manchester shrugs and heads out to see who was causing stress in the guardswoman. At least, that's what he thought was stress coming from her mind... magic had a way of messing with his telepathy a bit. He used his telekinetic abilities to float his way over to the head guard and the new guy with... is that some sort of ship? "Hey, everything alright here, ma'am?"

The guard grumbled a bit, warding off the urge to hiss at Dio, as it's an unprofessional habit, though she kept her wand leveled at him "Well, so far as the person in charge, that would be the Owner, and no matter how winning you think your smile is, you haven't proven you're not a threat." she looked to Manchester with a nod "Just a pilot deciding to land within the perimeter without permission." she turned her eyes back to Dio "Most 'guests' use the front gate." (elessar).

"Well, I can't exactly fly this through the front gate. It won't fit, ya know." Dio sighed and shook his head. "And of course my smile is winning! It practically glows." He smiles again, just to prove it, before turning serious again. "Anyway, I am here to offer my services as a courier because I know you all don't have much in the way of those. This pamphlet said so!" He pulls out a slightly crumpled informational pamphlet from the job fair.

Manchester chews on the matchstick in his mouth as his eyes begin to glow a green. He searches through the man's brain looking for malicious intent. He found none, though he could determine that the man was a bit... batty. "It's alright, ma'am. He's really here for the job. Saw him at the job fair. And I... double-checked." he gives her a smile. "Mind if I take him to the bossman?"

The head guard gave a quiet scoff, but sheathed her wand "Right right, just let me get something set up for the wards then... an excluder or something. Doubt Elessar will turn anyone away just yet." she waved as she turned and walked back towards the guard hut, muttering about security breaches and fixing wards.

"Well, now that that's all over with, let's go and see the boss man." Dio looked up at the guard. "You should probably get down from there too, it's not safe to stand on someone else's insanity."

Manchester raises an eyebrow, but simply smirks. "Nah, that little bit of batty runnin' amok in your mind ain't what's makin' me float, boyo. I'm a telekinetic, and a telepath. You'd do well to remember these little tidbits. Anywho, follow me. I'll take ya to the boss." With that, he turns in midair and floats back towards the building and back towards Elessar.

Elessar glanced up as Manchester lead Dio in, setting aside his pen with a wry smile "So, you're the one who had my head guard in such a huff? She was a bit surprised you weren't a debris trail."

Manchester floats over to a wall, which he then leans on. He takes the match from his mouth and smiles. "He's got a nice, big ship, boss. Would be a great way to start the courier branch of the business."

Elessar laughs a bit "Courier does not even begin to describe what we need. Deliveries most certainly, but calling what we need a courier makes it sound a bit small." he stood and walked around the desk that was still set up near the entrance "What we need, is a Transport. Cargo and Shipping, if you think you're up to it that would be great."

"Well, I need the cash so I'm perfectly willing to join up!" Something rattles in Dio's pocket as he sticks his hand into it. His smile disappears. "Oh, right... Um, you wouldn't happen to have a supply of Claudia, would you? I'm kind of on my last million or two and I need it to run my vanship." Dio pulls out a chunk of the glowing rock to make sure they know what he is talking about.

Manchester raises his eyebrow again. "I wouldn't think that anyone in this entire world has that but you, boyo. Might want to be careful with it, if it takes a lot ta run your ship."

Elessar shakes his head a bit as well "Can't say I've seen it, or even heard of it. Would probably be unique to whatever home used to be for you." he settles back on the table "Maybe we could find some way to artifically create it, or check if Magicite has similar properties. It's pretty much the only rock I've heard of that people try to use as an energy source."

Dio nods. "Well, I've got enough with me for a round trip to truce and back, so it's not that much of a concern at the moment. But that stuff sounds like it might work, though we'd have to try it." He looks around. "So, do I sign something or..."

Manchester floats away from the wall. "Well, if you don't think ya need me for anythin' else, I'll be heading' out then. Ta, mates." He waves and floats out the door.

Elessar stands up at the question, turning around and rifling through the paperwork "Right, theres a form somewhere around here..." he pulls a paper out from one of the stacks, clearing out a spot, and settinf a pen on top of it "This is mostly precautionary stuff, for the legal teams and whatnot to pour over, but it essentially says you ger blah-blah for yadda-yadda... honestly I'll probably make some paperwork for you later since you seem to be a special case."

"Sounds good to me." Dio picks up the pen and begins scribbling his name on the forms. "There ya go!" He passes them back once he is done filling them out, though most of the spaces are left blank. Most notably ones concerning a home or some other sort of lodging.

Elessar looks over the paper for a moment "Ahhh... do you not have a place to stay? I can always set you up somewhere. You are, after all, working for me. It's the least I can do."

"Well, I have been kinda living out of my vanship for the past... since I got it fixed. Any place you can offer would be better than an open cockpit." Dio smiles Gratefully at Elessar.

Elessar nods and unclips a walkie talkie from his belt, lifting it up to his mouth "Hey, Sarah. Our new employee seems to not have anywhere to stay. Wanna show him the partially constructed living quarters?" he pulls the walkie from his ear, a very irritated female voice shouting over it "Hey, come on, I had Manchester check him, he's fine. Besides, we're not worth spying on or sabotaging yet. He practically did you a favor busting through your wards."

"He seems to have been sleeping out of the cockpit of his ship though, so any of those housing units will probably be a blessing even before we finish them." theres a much quieter grumbling over the walkie before something that sounds like an affirmation, Elessar simply smiling as he hits the button again "Glad to hear it, Elessar out." clipping his walkie, he begins to walk toward the door, beckoning Dio after him "Well, we've got housing plans for people to live on-site to save up money better spent elsewhere, still in construction, but one of them should do fine."'

"Really? Great! And can you have someone move my vanship into, um... Wherever you keep things." Dio grins sheepishly as he follows after Elessar. "Just so it's not sitting on your front lawn and exposed to the elements and everything."

"Heh, I don't think we have one of those yet. I'll get someone to throw a tarp or two over it." Elessar opens the door to show him out, the female guard from before already on her way out toward the factory entrance "Well, good luck with her hope you like your new home, I think it'll be a pleasure working with you."

"Well, whatever you have is better than it sitting out there. It's seen better days." He gazes wistfully at the machine as the guard walks up. "Well, anyway, thanks for the job and the home!" Dio smiles brightly and shakes Elessars hand before turning and following the fuming security guard.
