Stein stood in front of the Rabite fountain, scalpel in hand. Before him cowered the infamous black rabite, who stared up horror at the eclipsed man who's glasses shimmered. "Well well, let's find out what exactly makes that fur of yours black, shall we?" Stein slowly approached the defenseless rabite, ready to get his science on.

"AAHHHH!!!!" A scream of a man falling out of the sky was heard, as wasn't unusual for Gaurdia these days. Unfortunately, this time, the screech was horribly familiar to the man closest to it. None other than Death Scythe, Stein's former partner fell right into the Rapite Fountain in the forest.

The black rabite took the moment to escape, running passed the stitched man. Stein watched the little thing scamper and cursed, "Damn, that would of been fun." He took out a cigarette and lit it. Stein looked to the small fountain, upon recognizing the man in it he spoke calmly, "Oh, hello Spirit."

Death Scythe looked out of the fountain. "Where am I? What was that? This isn't Death City." Spirit turned his head to see his old partner, Franken Stein. "OH WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?!" Spirit flailed his arms as he fell back onto his back, over the rim of the fountain.

Stein took a slow drag from his cigarette as he stepped back. "Well... I don't question these things." Stein thought that was a clever answer to hide the fact that he had no fucking clue.

Spirit didn't know what to think of that. He grabbed the scientist by his labcoat and glared at him. "What do you mean you don't question those things? You always question these kind of things. I am a Death Scythe, and I demand you to question these things!"

Stein cranked his head bolt and thought for a moment, he had to get Spirit to calm down, or at least freak out about something else. He smirked as he came upon a solution, "Gee I wonder how Maka is doing without her Papa." He ceased turning the bolt.

Death Scythe stopped for a moment, completely frozen. He kept the same position, just completely stopped in time, save for a small wimper and a few tears running down his face. Suddenly, he fell backwards against the ground, shouting to the sky. "MAKA! Papa is going to make everything all right, you hear? PAPA LOVES YOU MAKA!" This is just getting embarassing.

Stein facepalmed at his 'partner's' antics. what he done, he thought to himself. "Umm, Spirit?"

"Oh god what kind of father am I? I could have been a great papa but I just thought I could do so as a Death Scythe? I could be a father! And then I made a few mistakes and now I'm here and I don't know how to get back and you don't know how to get back either so now we'll never see her and I'm not sure if I tipped Blair but now Blair will think I'm a jerk and she'll tell Maka and then Maka will hate me FOREVER!! AHHH!! I JUST WANTED TO BE A GOOD FATHER!!"

Stein looked around him, not a rabite in sight, "Spirit, stop it, you're scaring away the subjects." In a half hearted attempt to cheer up the man, Stein approached him and slowly patted him on the back. "There, there, Maka doesn't hate you, worst case she... tolerates you with rage seething anger."

Death Scythe rubbed the tears out of his eyes and sniffed. "You really think that she doesn't hate me?" He stopped up, straightening his tie. "Alright, then, let's get down to business. Where's the nearest town, or have you set up shelter elsewhere?"

Stein sighed, cranking his head bolt, he turned calling back to spirit. "Come on, follow me. Oh and try not to embarass me." he began walking hoping Spirit would follow.

Death Scythe laughed. "Me, embarass you, Stein? Come on, let's admit it. You wouldn't survive a week without me!"

Stein continued walking towards truce simply muttered, "I've survived 2."
