Kent walked out of the medical bay of the Mk II. Roche was hurt and needed attention, Kent believed it was best to let to professionals work without him in the room. Kent himself took a few painkillers for his more mild wounds. While he might not be bleeding as much, he was sure tired. It wasn't long before he found a quiet wall and collapsed against it. He wasn't asleep, but he was definitely planning on it.

Kimen had been looking for Kent, wanting to talk to him about having to leaving the manor and why she did not stay put when Graham had told her to. She knew she was going to be in trouble, but no amount of yelling could make her less happy to see Kent alive. From what Kimen could tell after the battle, the knight was experiencing some degree of pain which caused her to worry. She followed him and the priest as the former knight carried him into the medical bay, but she didn't enter herself for fear of being in the way. She stayed behind, peering around the corner and straining her ears to catch any conversation within only catching bits and pieces of conversation. It wasn't long till Kent emerged again, found a wall and slid down it. Worried about the chill of metal and the fact that he was on the floor Kimen ran off only to return a few moments later with a large blanket cradled in her arm. She knelt down next to the Kent and started to cover him with it.

Kent's eyes opened as he thought someone was next to him. He was paranoid, to say the least, and had been a light sleeper for years. His neck turned a bit to notice you next to him with a blanket. As touching as the gesture was, Kent was still angry. Kimen was probably lucky that Kent was so exhausted, otherwise they'd probably yell. "Why don't you ever listen?" Kent said, with a tone mixing disappointment, anger, and worry. "You weren't safe."

Kimen frowned, feeling a slight sting of guilt sweep over him at Kent's tone. Regardless, he tucked the blanket around Kent to make sure that it wouldn't fall as the knight rested. "I wasn't safe at the manor, Mr. Kent." Kimen answered solemnly, leaning back when the job was finished. "And you were not safe either."

"I'm never safe, Kimen," Kent said, "I put myself in danger so others don't have to. It's what I've done, and it might be all I know how to do. I'm a protector." Or, I'm supposed to be, he thought. He leaned his head back against a wall and waited a moment before talking again. He let out a sigh. "I can't even keep you safe... figures."

Kimen looked down at the floor, Kents words bringing tears to her eyes. "You're never safe?" She clenched her teeth, one tear escaping and rolling down her cheek to dangle at her chin, "Do you have any idea what it feels like, Mr. Kent? Do you have any idea what it feels like standing back and watch you put yourself in these dangerous situations again and again?" The child’s voice was a mix of frustration and fear, wavering a little as she spoke. She looked down, trying to not meet Kents gaze. Kimen knew he was mad at here but... "You are all the family I have." She admitted in a quiet whisper.

"Yes." Kent said bluntly. "I know exactly what it feels like, Kimen." He wasn't phased by Kimen's tears. Maybe he was being harsh, but it didn't matter to him. Kimen needed to be told. "Kimen. Consistantly practicing magic despite how dangerous it is. Following me into battle. Trying to 'protect' me. I know exactly what it feels like, and still you don't listen." He closed his eyes. "You're the closest thing to family I have, too, you know."

Kimen clentched his fists, but still didn't lift his head to look Kent in the eyes. "I will not apologize for practicing magic, nor for TRYING to protect you when I found myself caught in battle with you." Kimen said shaking his head. The word trying seemed to hold a little more pain than the rest. The tears were still falling but he was doing his best to hold them back and hide that fact. "I did this knowing you would be mad and knowing you would probably yell at me for it. I'll accept any punishment you think is best no matter how harsh." And Kimen would do it happily and without complaint no matter what it was! It was worth it... "... Because you are alive."

Kent grunted. "You didn't 'find yourself' in battle with me. You sought it out. It was irresponsible of you and you should be ashamed of yourself for worrying me like that." Kent took a very deep breath to calm down. He really didn't have enough energy to yell at Kimen. Unfortunately for them, though, Kent still seemed to have a stern tone regardless.

Kimen tilted her head up, glancing briefly at Kent through her bangs. "I understand." She said quietly, slowly pulling herself to her feet. "You should rest a little, Mr. Kent." He still looked tired after all. If he needed to scold her more it probably would be better to come later.

Kent nods. He didn't say anything else. He just turned his head to the side and almost instantly fell asleep. It was doubtless uncomfortable to sleep fully armored, but right now his body didn't seem to care. It was tired, and now was the time for some much needed rest.
