Free City, Truce - Fountain
A tiered fountain marks the center of Truce, water gushing from its
summit and trickling into a deep, wide basin, wrapped by a ring of benches.
Roads flow like rivers away from the fountain, and houses sprout like weeds
all around them. Not far to the east, the ocean roars in the harbor.

Man this air was nice! How long had it been since he had smelled the
ocean air, or felt the breeze on his face? Too long! Toby was thrilled
to be out of his cell again. A little curious as to how it happened,
but more thrilled than anything. He found himself in Truce now, hungry
and broke. But he wouldn't be without a little silver for long.

Toby stands up at the fountain's edge and proudly announces to the
crowd, "Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and girls, Fuzzy things and round
things alike! Today is your lucky day! I, Toby the greatest
illusionist of all time is here to provide you some entertainment with
the donation of a coin!" He bowed.

Erica strolls onto the scene, just arriving back from her trip to
Viorar. A peculiar boy had started drawing a crowd by the fountain,
what caught her interest was the fact that he considered himself the
'greatest illusionist of all time'. She decided to humor him and
walked up to the fountain. "Here you go, now lets see what kind of
tricks you have for us." she says with an unsettling smile.

Garoth looks up at the boy on the fountain, then down at himself, his
eyes going wide as he begins to hyperventilate... noticing a single
small coin that, during the course of the day, had gotten stuck to his
leg through some force of magic or science.

Nagol walks in from the North, rubbing his head. "Man...I can barely
feel anything after that person possessed me and fought my friends
with my body. Who was that person anyways?"

The doors to Truce Inn open at that point, revealing the form of Riko
Kupenreich. The moogle warrior, with sword and shield strapped
between his vestigial purple wings, makes his way to the fountain as
beings belonging to all the peaceful races of the Cleft began to
gather 'round at the spectacle you was providing. "What garbage is
this?" Riko cursed as he approached the stage, wanting to know who was
responsible for waking him up so damned early. Of course, he knew not
the time.

Toby smiles down at the woman who gave him a piece of silver. Sheesh!
His illusions should be worth a little more than THAT, "Ah, a shiny
one from the silver haired Goddess of Fortune, my luck seems to be
with me today!" He pinches the coin in his fingers, then with a flick
of his wrist it transforms, stretching and shaping into a yellow rose
which he hands to her.

To the angry moogle approaching, he smile and stood up straight. "Just
a small show my good sir. Pleasant afternoon for one, is it not?" Toby
said calmly.

Rana is walking toward the fountain as well, from the north. This
moogle is younger than her body shape lets on, her form and figure
hinting at Kuporian lineage, though most of her fur is covered in
pitch black armor. Her weapon, larger than she is, is strapped to her
back as well. The fact that it is sheathe less shows in her walk, as
she is careful not to rock the sword so much that its blade cuts her
wings. "Moguri-damned mages," she spits in a gentle voice, her facial
expression much more joyous than the curse in her voice lets on.

Erica chuckles softly at the compliment and the little trick Toby had
done, taking the rose from him in her hand. "How flattering." she
says, ignoring the angry moogle who just woke up. She chuckled lightly
at how calm and collected Toby managed to stay. Proof of a true
show-man.

Completely oblivious to the scene around him, Garoth continues to
hyperventilate, shaking his leg to try dislodging the coin which has
become attached to him, sending it tinking across the pavement afer a
couple hardy shakes, it rolls up to rest before the youth, giving a
gentle sigh of relief as he looks at it suspiciously from across the
way.

"Afternoon? Shit I've been sleeping too long. Carry on, then. And
thanks for waking me up." Riko growled, hinting at the source of his
apparent rage, though none burned in his heart. Resolved to calm
down, he finds a railing near the ocean sea and breathes in the salty
air, though an unusual stench wafts into his nostrils as he does. He
gazes about, looking for the source, until he finds a little moogle
girl in armor that should be far too heavy for her.(Kupenreich)

And that's when she utters the name of the leader of Kuporia. Safe to
say Rana had Riko's undivided attention for the moment. (Kupenreich)

"Huh? A Magic Show? Hmm...Alright, show me what you can do." Nagol
grabs a gold coin from his backpack and tosses over to you.

Toby waves to the angry moogle, "Not a problem sir! Always glad to be
of service even when it isn't intended." He winks. Hops down from the
fountains rim to recieve Nagol's coin, then noticed another coin roll
across the floor. Toby follows its path back to the boy thinking maybe
perhaps it had been meant for him, " Thank you good sir! A trick for
you as well? Have a seat and enjoy the show!" A small gesture and a
chair suddenly appears infront of of Garoth.

Rana leaned back against a railing that gave a view of the ocean,
though she was a good few feet away from Riko. She would watch the
show for now, as she did in Viorar. If she didn't like what she saw
however, there would be hell to pay. And no fake dragon would stop
her. That little brat on the stage needed to pay for that anyway.

Erica crosses her arms and continues to watch the show. This amature
illusion performance was cute to an extent. The silver witch's magic
was all illusion based so all these little tricks were like child's
play for her, also maynot even be magical based to begin with. They
could all be tricks of the eye.

Garoth watches as the youth walks up to him, uncertain of his intent
"a, uh, trick? Gah!" his eyes widen as the chair appears and he falls
over as he tries to step back, landing on his rump and scrambling back
a pace.
Nagol leans against a wall, trying to resist the pain from half of his
body that was frozen, and the other half of his body that was beaten
up.

Rana Kept watching with a smile on her face, but she was as-of-yet unamused.

One gold coin and two silvers now. At least it was something. He
motioned for the little blue guy who gave him the gold coin to
approach the stage, "For paying my meal ticket for today you get to be
a part of the show!" Toby glances back to Garoth, holding out his
hand in effort to calm "No need to be frightened ladies and gentlemen.
My illusions can do no harm and they are just that! Illusions."

A small grim grew on Erica's lips when you assured Garoth that
illusions could do no harm. "You've never seen my illusions." she said
under her breath, not to ruin the show. The audience seemed to have
mixed reactions about this, but she was looking forward to how the
kirby would be incorperated into the show.

Garoth hearing the young magician's words, he looks at the chair,
tentatively crawling up to it and attempting to put his hand through
it in a unwelcomely courageous gesture, just to prove to himself it
isn't really there.

"Get on with it!" Rana shouts, quickly losing her patience.

Riko glances at Rana, finding her impatience slightly annoying. He
says nothing, however, merely returning his gaze to the stage.
(Kupenreich)

"Alright." Nagol stops leaning on the wall, and walks slowly but
surely over to you.

Toby smiles, ignoring the yelling moogle who was asking for a free
show in the back and turning his attention to the young lady, "Perhaps
I will get a chance to see you preform one day then?" He grins turning
his attention back to the blue guy. "One lasttrick, but a big one" He
doesn't even wait for Nagol to approach the stage before he...
Explodes? With a loud bang and a cloud of smoke pieces of Nagol go
everywhere! Splattering over the audience. Strangely though, if they
directed their attention back to source of the explosion and waited
for the smoke to clear, they would find him there still. Though
dressed in a snazzy black tuxedo and top-hat. (Toby)

Erica didn't flinch with the loud bang as Nagol exploded. She almost
giggled, but stifled herself as she watched Nagol reappear now dressed
in a snazzy suit. She gave a polite clap at the performance.
Garoth looks over at the naysayer in the crowd, drawing his hand back
just short of touching the chair, staring at him long enough to miss
the beginning of the trick, scrambling back away at the sound of the
explosion, afraid that it may have been the chair exploding.

Nagol notices that he is now in a really nice suit and top hat. He
straightens the suit and top hat and says, "Nice...I've been looking
for a nice suit."

Toby bows before the crowd. Any more coins? No, he certainly didn't
see any. No need for an encore then. For the coin he was given he was
certain this show had been worthy enough for it. "Thank you ladies and
gentlemen" He gives a particular nods to the grey haired woman. "Its
been a pleasure preforming for you!" And with that he vanishes into
the air.

Nagol claps at your performance.

Rana found herself laughing. THAT was it? For a mage, this little
human boy was pretty crappy. Oh well, nothing more to see here. She
fancied pulling out his veins for such a lackluster show, but he
wasn't around anymore. No big deal.

Erica smiles and gives Toby a little curtsey before he vanished into
thin air. An impressive trick, was it invisiblity or teleportation?
"Well that was a nice welcome home present." she says mainly thinking
aloud. She looked around at the rest of the group, wondering what
would happen now. They had the material-phobic pumpkinhead, a pair of
moogles and a snazzy dressed Kirby. An odd grouping, but this was
Truce afterall.

Riko shifts the muscles in his shoulders, as if her were getting
cricks out of them. He wasn't staying still long enough for that,
though. The stench of dark magic put him on edge, but he chose not to
do anything about it until its source proved herself dangerous. It
wasn't usually his style to be beating down little girls anyway.
(Kupenreich)

Garoth watches as the boy disappeared, not going near the chair again,
and simply wanders (circling wide around the chair) to settle on the
edge of the permanent and unmoving fountain.

Deciding that hanging around this place was getting boring quick, Rana
started wandering off to the north once more.

Riko starts to follow her, but stops short when he remembers Qupoma,
who's still in the inn. After staring after Rana for a moment, he
sighs. "Fuck it," he says finally, turning around to head back for the
inn. (Kupenreich)
