As Oboyo enters into the stall, he is offered a net by tenant. Initially, he rejects the offer. He was supposed to be on the lookout for something or someone. But as the tenant insists, Oboyo caves in. It wouldn't hurt to have a little fun fishing while the others were out looking around. Taking the net in hand, Oboyo approaches the pond and observes for the right opportunity to cast his net.

Having with increasing vexedness fished behind the net for some time, Deim turned as her sensors indicated a new arrival. Tilting her head and noting the net the newcomer was holding, she grudgingly stepped back from the tank to allow them a chance. Deciding to give a comment, she spoke in her soft, even tones. 'I believe the phrase goes 'the fish, do not bite.'

"That's because -you- have to bite -them-." comments Oboyo as he casts his net into the pond. An unlucky red koi found itself swimming at the wrong place at the wrong time as the net wraps itself around it. He then proceeds to the pull the net out of the water and is congratulated by the tenant, who proceeds to toss the fish back into the water while handing Oboyo a couple of bells.

Tilting her head at the advisory, and noting it certainly seemed to work up to a point Deim reconsidered her strategy 'I see, agression is needed..' Frowning down into the tank, with a swift, precise motion the gynoid let her net skim through the water..only to still catch water. Truely, a fisher droid, she was not.

"In a sense. It's more about focusing and clearing your mind at the right moment." says Oboyo as he hands his net back to the tenant, apparently satisfied with fishing and more interested in watching. "Much like with martial arts."

Deim frowned thoughtfully, going over it, and deducing fishing, was like combat. As a combat droid, that was something she was quite suited for. 'I see..' Sets herself before the tank once more and carefully watches the water, waiting for the oppertune moment. With a flash of motion, her net skimmed out, scooping up a lone, brown Koi. Never the less, beaming quite pleasedly, she held it up for the tenant to inspect and reward accordingly.

"Well done." said Oboyo as he clapped his hands. "I take it you know a thing or two about martial arts yourself?" asked Oboyo, convinced that the droid's achievement was not done through luck.

Tilting her head, Deim considered how best to respond, before nodding. 'I am programmed with a variaty of unarmed combat routines, including several styles of martial arts.' She paused, a faint pink flush rising to her cheeks. 'I merely had not considered this a suitable venue to engage combat parameters for..hence my difficulties thus far.'

"Heh. Don't let the tenant hear you say that." said Oboyo with a smirk. A thought then occured to him: what was a combat capable droid doing here? "Are you from around here? I take it fishing isn't your primary hobby."

Deim tucked the bell away into the recesses of her coat and tilted her head to the opposite side. Finally, the diminutive droid nodded. 'I am trying to better understand Bioform behaviour. An exploration of the condition known as 'fun'.' Frowned slightly at the tank. 'Thusfar I have a deeper appreciation of the emotion of frustration down..'
Deim blinked, realising she had missed one aspect of the others enquiry. 'And no, I am rather..far afield from what I would consider..home.'

Oboyo lets out a laugh, "That's the first time I've ever heard of an individual expressing appreciation for frustration." He then gives a nod, "I see. I'm a little far from home myself, but only because I'm on a..mission here."

Deim wrinkles her nose 'I am experiencing..difficulties in blending in with organic Bioforms..Exposure to a variaty of emotions will assist longterm goals.' Nodding at he mention of a mission, she continued.'I too have a mission, though mine did not alter upon my arrival in this world. It merely became..easier to persue.'

"That's fortunate. I've met a few individuals like yourself who came here from other worlds. I can't say that I know what it's like firsthand, as I was born in Shrike." said Oboyo as he pulled out a pocketwatch to stare at an engraving on its back side. "..but I know all about 'varieties of emotions'."
Oboyo then turned his head to look at the droid once more, "I have a question for you."

Deim tilts her head, then nods. 'My arrival was..less then perfect, my frame required extensive repairs, the journey is not recommendable..'Blinking, she nodded. 'Of course, part of my goal is to assist Bioforms where capable, how can I assist?'

"What would you do if an unlikely individual approached you and warned you that the world would someday come under siege, and that you are supposed to lead an army that you do not have against it?" asked Oboyo.

Deim blinked, processing it. "As a droid, I would acquire the necessary command protocols and prepare accordingly. I understand Bioforms do not have such capacity however.' Tilting her head, resolving it required a more personal answer, she referenced appropriate data. 'I believe the phrasing goes, that if such is destined, it will come to pass. The best one can hope for when faced with destiny, is to do all one can.'

"I guess that's the most logical answer." said Oboyo with a sigh. "My name is Oboyo Jinsaka, by the way. I'm something of an outcast from nobility. And whether anyone believes me or not, I have to find many individuals to prepare for the day that happens." Oboyo then turned back towards the pond and rested his arms on the tank. "IF that ever happens."

Deim blinked and bowed formally from the waist, her long green hair falling forward. Brushing it back as she rose, she introduced herself accordingly. 'Commander Deim, senior officer of Star Base Eshtvar.'

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Commander Deim." said Oboyo, with a hint of respect on her title. "Have you ever been to Shrike?"

Deim gave a small smirk, quite unusual for her.'..Yes..I am familiar with the isle. It was where I was..repaired. Eshtvar did not make it through entirely and I was thrown offcourse. What data remains of the event suggests I landed in the seas near Shrike.'

As curious as Oboyo was about Deim's entry into the cleft, it didn't seem right to inquire about her past or her mission yet. "Sounds like it was rough. Glad you were able to get repaired, there's a lot of gold sharks in Shrike. My old man had a manor there until he exiled me to it without any staff. I've leased rooms out to businessmen but I fear the place is lacking in security. Won't be long until business rivals try to wage war inside my manor."
An idea then popped into his head. "You seem pretty capable. How would you like a job?"

Deim considered duely, then nodded. Security fitted broadly into her primary goals of protection of humanoid Bioforms afterall. 'I would not be..adverse to such an oppertunity. Provided the work is not a-moral..I will not harm those whom do not deserve it.' Her normally soft voice firmed up considerably near the end of this statement.

"Of course, I don't approve of senseless violence either. I only need the image of protection, something I think that you would be able to wield expertly. It's a pleasure to have you, Commander Deim." said Oboyo as he extended his hand.

Deim considered the hand, before recalling the Bioform custom. Reaching out, she clasped the hand in a firm, but gentle grip, shaking it once. 'Then it will be a pleasure to work with you. Protection is a key role to droids of my line.'

Just then, a blonde man wearing glasses stepped into the tent, apparantly searching for Oboyo for a while. "Chief! Finally. Lionel just saw him heading into the Moonlight forest."
"Hmm.." muttered Oboyo towards the man as he looked back at the combat droid, "Well Deim, it's time I tended to my own mission. I can't ask you to join me on it, as..I will have to do something that I don't want to do. Whenever you're ready to work, just look for the Jinsaka Manor in Shrike. I'll make sure you're expected."

The blonde man stared blankly at Oboyo before looking at Deim then back to him again, "Oh, Chief..this is a new one even for you." Oboyo cringed, "You always get the wrong idea, Egon. Look, we've got to hurry. Go ahead and round up the others."

The blonde man sighed and left the tent with Oboyo right behind him, "See you later then, commander!"
