With a gasp, Cerin sits up rather suddenly, looking around the room. Pitch black, nowhere to see- An unsightly... Lack of sight. With an annoyed expression he begins to shuffle through his pockets, and pulls out a small stone, striking it on the ground with a crackle, causing it to glow like a candle. "There," he mutters, standing up to grab his cloak and put it on, before holding his forehead, "Now I can go get something for this blasted headache..."

Theres a groan from the bed nearby, as well as a shuffling sheets as Synesthesi dragged the blanket over her head "It's still night... let me sleep..." she rolls over, burying her face in the pillow, keeping the blankets pulled up over herself as she tries to doze off again into blissful sleep, her own head throbbing.

With a soft sigh Cerin tosses the stone at Synesthesi, moving over to look out the window. "My internal clock and the people outside agree- It's day," he says, before standing straight again, "It seems there are people heading for the festival."

Synesthesi groans and lifts her head somewhat, glancing towards the window and giving a grumble "Nnngh, right... eternal night" she prized herself from the covers, giving a wide yawn and a stretch as she grabbed the rock, tossing it up to catch it again "What's this?" reaching up to rub the sleep from her eyes with her free hand as she tried to look over the rock.

Cerin takes a few steps closer to Synesthesi, holding out his normal hand. "It's a 'sun stone.' Strike it on something, and it glows like a candle for a while. Not the most light you'll ever see, but it makes finding things in the dark much easier," he says, grumbling a little, "Now, if I could have it back, I'd like to get off and find something to eat. I think I drank a bit too much..."

Synesthesi just nods and hands the rock over before flumping back on the bed, almost wanting to go back to sleep "You think they started the festival yet?" she stares up into the perpetual semi-darkness, managing to keep her eyes open for now.

Holding up the stone he begins to walk toward the door of the room, sighing. "Likely so, there aren't as many people on the streets as usual, and they all seem to be heading that way," he says, reaching down to open the door, before stopping a moment, "Think you can find your way to the entrance easy enough?"

Synesthesi gave a sigh as she drew back the covers completely, sliding out of the bed before making her way toward Cerin and the door "It's too late to be so early... we probably should have stopped after the fourth round." she closes her eyes as a shudder and a twitch come over her, but she shakes it off "Know any good remedies for this hangover?"

Cerin looks back at Synesthesi and opens the door, beckoning for her to follow him. "A glass of wine, a pitcher of water, and a nice big breakfast," he says, leaving the door open behind him, "I'm not sure the festival has alcohol, but it probably has enough food to fix your headache."

Synesthesi puts a hand to her forehead as she makes her way out the door, giving Cerin a playful shove and chuckling, a hint of color tingling on his chest for a moment where her hand was "Okay, yeah, a big breakfast sounds amazing." she walks down the hall a little before turning to look back, grinning as she lets her hand drop to her side "You're buying, right?"

Cerin sighs, putting his hand on his own forehead, muttering something. "Alright, fine, I'll come and buy you some food," he says, looking over at her, "I'm assuming you want some kind of meal from the festival, then?"

Walking up to him, Synesthesi just chuckles "Unless you're feeling up to taking me somewhere else." she drapes her arms over Cerin's shoulders and brushes his cheek with a kiss before playfully shoving him again "Besides, I think you owe me a date by now." she turns and begins to walk down the hall again, fairly certain she knows where the lobby is.

With a grumble, and a bit of a blush, Cerin brushes at his cheek, trying to swat away the colors that would have snuck there. "I can't think of anywhere better," he says with a sigh, walking past her, "Come on then, it's not too far, I'll take you there."

Synesthesi simply grins as she watches him pass, following after and trying not to chuckle, the semi-darkness was somewhat soothing for her head, and actually being awake helped some too "Alright, anything edible sounds great, maybe you can win me a stuffed animal or something after we eat."

Cerin sighs, and leads Synesthesi off toward the festival, holding the sun stone up to lead the way. "Games like that are usually rigged. Aside from that, I prefer feats of accuracy over strength," he says, putting the stone away as the bright lights of the ongoing festival overpower it, "Plus, any stuffed animal I were to win you would be too big for you to carry." He looks back at the girl with a grin on his face, holding both arms out to crack his knuckles.

The streets were lined with lights, for the festival, and even so, they were usually bright enough to see by without a holiday. Synesthesi had no troubles following Cerin through the streets "Of course they are, any self respecting man would claim as much. I would still love to see you prove it. Especially since that means you would have to carry it for me."

Cerin blinks a bit, raising an eyebrow at Synesthesi. "So, not only do I have to win you a massive prize, I have to carry it around for you too?" he asks, looking around at the various signs, until turning in toward one that looks like it should have food, "That seems like a high expectation for a guy you just met."

"Well, we met last night, we talked alot, you slept in my hotel room, and you seem to like me well enough, so why not?" she chuckles some "Besides, are you saying you can't?" she followed him into the food, her stomach grumbling somewhat.

With a sigh, Cerin walks up to the counter, ordering two boxes of food, handing one to Synesthesi.I could carry it with ease, I've carried people heavier than any stuffed toy this place could have," he grumbles, opening up the box, "But don't think I don't know this game. You're trying to get me to assert my manhood and agree to carrying around your toy."

She simply opens up her oekakiben with a sly smile "Guilty as charged, but you know you're going to anyways." Synesthesi began eating her food to close the conversation, taking a bite out of her eggroll.

Sighing, Cerin nods, taking a bite out of his own eggroll, walking over toward the wall to lean against it. He takes a moment to look up at Synesthesi, then down at his meal- it was a lucky thing, him not having any contracts, otherwise this date could be cut short. He swallows, and examine the box a bit more, licking his lips a bit. "Why spend your day with me?" he asks, raising an eyebrow, "For all you know, I could kill people for money."

Synesthesi chuckles between bites of her food "Well, you seem decent enough, and I don't exactly have anyone else waiting for me. I figure this is a good way to spend the day"

With a sigh, Cerin nods, continuing to slowly eat his own meal, rubbing his forehead between bites. "Well, if you think I'm such good company," he mumbles, looking up at her again, "I guess I won't argue. I mean, it is nice to have some company for a while. How's the headache?"

Scoffing quietly, Synesthesi takes another bite of her food "It's still there, if thats what you mean, but it's improving by the moment." she almost devours the noodles before her, somewhat hungrier than she thought.

Cerin nods and continues to eat rather slowly, humming a quiet tune. "That's good to hear," he says, taking another few bites before closing up the box, putting it inside of his cloak, "It's unfortunate they don't have any wine, however." He takes a few steps off and looks up and down the long walkway, tapping his chin.

Synesthesi finishes up her food, taking a moment longer on the dumpling, and contemplates leaving the box where it is, but shrugs and takes it with her instead "You seem really hung up about that wine" she walks up behind him and places a hand on his shoulder.

Cerin grumbles, looking at the hand on his shoulder. "A little alcohol helps kill a hand-over," he says, looking around a bit more, "And if I'm going to be winning any prizes, I need to get rid of my headache. Of course, I should be fine either way- Just not as good."

Synesthesi walks past him with a giggle "Well, we can stick around here, or walk out for a drink. I think we can save the heavier stuff for tonight though."

Cerin chuckles, raising an eyebrow at Synesthesi, before beginning a trek toward the koi ponds. "So you're going to stick with me and drink something hard again, tonight?" he asks, giving her a grin.

Synesthesi chuckles as well, grinning back at Cerin as she sways along "Well, of course, you make for a fun drinking partner." she turns back forward with a giggle muttering to herself "maybe more" she can't help but sway a little, and blush at the fact she's doing so deliberately, as she walks in front of him, headed for the gate.

Cerin's eyes follow the girl's swaying hips, almost distracting him from the final comment- One he would bring up later, when she is a little more off guard. He blinks and realizes just how long he's been silent, looking up with a blush, ceasing to let the tempting sways distract him longer. "Well, drinking isn't the worst thing. But we should probably drink a lot more water this time, and keep ourselves fed," he mutters, taking another peek, "I mean, unless you want to end up alone with me
and a throbbing.. Er, headache."

She snickers a little, her smile could not get any wider as she walks through the gate "Relax, just wine, we can bring it back to the fairgrounds with us. And if they don't let us in, we can simply drink it outside" she stops outside the gate, looking around some, not entirely sure which way to go, other than 'southish'.

Cerin blinks, and looks back behind him, shrugging. "Sure, let's go find some wine. I doubt they'll appreciate drunks at a festival, so we may need to drink it outside..." he mutters, looking up again, trying not to make it obvious he's just been staring at her for a while, "Here, I know where to go. Come with me." He takes the lead, and looks around the area- Certainly there is a shop somewhere around here that sells some wine.

Synesthesi lets him lead for the moment, content to follow for now "I hope so... Wait, does that mean you don't know?" she blinks at him somewhat but continues to follow.

Grumbling a bit Cerin takes a few looks around, sighing. "Well, uh- No, I don't know anywhere that sells wine here, specifically," he says, looking back at her, "I'm sure there might be, though- I mean, at the least we could go just grab something else..."

Synesthesi chuckles and takes his hand, dragging him along "Come on, the place we were at last night will work, just gotta be sure we don't dip into anything heavy is all. I think I know how to get there."

Cerin blinks and looks down at his hand, following after Synesthesi quickly. "Well, alright, it shouldn't be too hard to find now," he says, speeding up so he's next to her.

Synesthesi doesn't even bother to release Cerin's hand until she reaches the bar, and only then to make the entrance easier "Well, I think I ordered the last round." she chuckles as she slips into a seat.
