Kent strolled south towards the inn with a heavy head staring at the ground. He noticed everyone leaving the fountain area to do their own thing, Kimen heading to wherever the kid lived. Kent was still unhappy at the child's determination to learn how to fight. Kent stopped and removed he hood to look at the lit sky. A cloudless night. It was a full moon.

Zaidian stands at a slight lean, with one foot placed out further then the other. He had apparently been at the fountain of Truce for some time now, seemingly as some sort of abstract statue, without any real purpose. His movements are null. No sign of breathing, blinking, or repositioning. Is he even alive?

Zaidian turns his head, that creeks, pops, and snaps as he quickly does so to face Kent. His eyes lack pupils but it is still aparent that he is unceasingly watching him. His facial expression shows no sign of intent or emotion, in his blank cold stare.

Kent heard a pop. It wasn't a pleasent sound to head either. Quickly, Kent dropped the sword he made of Kimen and turned around. He didn't hear anything else. Kent's trained eyes peirced through the night in attempt to spot something. "Who's there?" He asked, though without showing any fear. He's used to this, it was probably just his paranoia.

A leather jacketed and helmet wearing old lady arrives at the avenue, just south of the fountain, riding a ghostly motorcycle. She parks the motorcycle infront of the red rose agency. Kahleen, as Mrs. Whittaker, removes her helmet and hangs it on the handle bars before lifting one leg over the motorcycle to meet with the other and dropping of the bike. "Oh!" She said faking pain. She took a cane off of the motorcycle and used it as she wobbled to a fountain bench.

Garoth walks in, still wearing his outfit from the halloween ball, the coattails a little singed but the outfit doesn't look too badly off, somewhat clean in fact, his pumpkin properply perched atop his shoulders as he makes his way in from the south, having wandered around the caves for a little the past couple days looking for any sign of Kahleen.

Zaidian ignores Kent's words. He would simply stare at him. As a sign of life, a root that runs off of Zaidian's robe, releases its grip on the stone walkway, where he ad aparently been anchored. As the root retracts into the foliage that makes up Zaidians robe, he was unmoved and would continue to stare at Kent.

Kent noticed two people enter the fountain area, an old lady and a familiar pumpkinhead. Kent eyed the non-human, and recognized him to be Garoth, Kahleen's friend from the party. Kent walked over to him with a happier expression. "Hey, Garoth," He said to him, "You seen any of Consiland? I haven't seen hide nor tail of her since the party."

Kahleen slowly made her way to one of the benches around the fountain. She would waddle around until her backside was facing the bench. She slowly backed up until her thighs touched the bench. She used the cane to lower her big bottom on the bench. Kahleen sat on the bench and acted out of breath as she smiled at Kent and Garoth.

Garoth shakes his head 'I haven't seen her around since a a couple nights ago when I was taking her home" his flames flicker a little as he looks around for a moment "she said something about meeting someone and ran off."

Though others were beginning to crowd the fountain, Zaidian's attention was unbroken and glued to Kent. He would take a quick, short breath but not enough to make any notable movements. Zaidian stood there, surround by an awkward air.

"Ahh, as long as she's safe, I suppose." Kent felt a little weird about his concern. He didn't know Consiland all that well, but hated the idea of harm coming in her way. Kent forgot about his day tomorrow and leaned against a nearby lamp-post and lit a cigar. "And How've you been, Garoth? We don't talk much."

Kahleen frowned as she saw Zaidian standing over there. She looked at Kent and would wear a look of concern, hidden under layers of latex, makeup, and props that make up her disguise. She refered to a wrist watch that was clearly broken and probably even stolen at that. "Ooooh...I guess I'm a bit early to pick up my medication" Kahleen said in a fake and shaky elderly voice. "They have medication for brutal serial killers? Whelp...I guess they thought of everything!" The moogle said before floating over to you. "And you! You dont even blink, do ya?" He said as he looked back at Kahleen and giggled.

"she does seem to take care of herself fairly well..." Garoth scratches the back of his pumpkin and gives a small shrug, slipping down onto a nearby bench, facing away from the new creepy statue "I'm doing okay I suppose, though these clothes are becomming a little bothersome... not certain what to do about them though"

Zaidian could hear Kent's heartbeat. He would even visually place Kent's heart next to the moogle and it would start to orbit the moogle. Every thump of the heart made a sound that was accompanied by colorful music notes. Zaidian twitched a smirk onto his face briefly. Though he was composing an imaginary show, he continued to stare at Kent.

Kent looked confusedly at Garoth. "You know, most people don't wear suits around every day," he spoke. "You might want to find something more comfortable, or more practical. Suits tend to get bothersome when you move around." Kent looked at the sky. The stars were clearly visible from here. Kent's eyes darted around from one to another. They weren't in the right place. Not even this world's sky was familiar.

Kahleen 's eyes widened at the show her dad made. Kent's heart was floating around the moogle. She twisted the curve of her cane, ever-so slightly, ready to draw its secret blade in the event Zaidian tried anything. "Uh-yeah! This pretty much confirms it! You, sir, are crazy, sir...Good day, sir." He walked back to Kahleen and his eyes followed the heart that orbited around him....

Garoth picks at his sleeve a little "I guess I should go back to something I'm more comfortable with, but I'm still not certain what to do with it." he slips out of the coat and rests it across the bench... maybe keep that... and begins unbuttoning the shirt partway.

An imaginary fly trap instantly sprouts out of the ground and eats the heart. Blood oozes and drips out of the plants mouth. The plant whips its head at the moogle and laughs before sinking into the ground. "I hate my afterlife, I really do." The moogle said as his eyes fell heavy. *-.-* Zaidian lifted his head in a sudden jerk, making yet another crackling noise.

That noise again! Kent stepped away from the lamp post. He looked around to the first possible source of the noise. "Madame," He said to the old woman, "Did you make that cracking noise?" Kent walked around to her side of the fountain and eyed here. Something about her seemed unnatural, but he blamed that on the darkness.

Kahleen seemed unchanged by her father's display. She removed one hand from the cane and reached into her leather jacket. She fished around in there and pulled out a gob of melted chocolate. "You kids want some candy? I've got plenty!" "You know if anything transpired, you cant change anything Kahleen. You are just here to watch, you know." The old lady sighed, her hand still out and offering horrible candy.

Kent shook his head at the lady. She wasn't the who he was looking for, to say the least. "Madame, it's late out..." He said, "You might want to head home..." He realized he probably sounded offencive, but he had other things to worry about. Kent paced to another side of the fountain and surveyed the area more. If anyone was watching Kent, they'd be sure to think it was the exile's paranoia.

Garoth looks back, seeing only the statue, trying to look around it and the fountain to see if anything in that direction would cause the noise, shaking his head as he sees nothing obvious as the source, getting up and walking to the fountain to pour a little water over his pumpkin.

*Crack*-*Snapple*-*Pop* Zaidians head would pop and lock as his face followed Kent on his way around the fountain. His eyes narrowed as Kent got further away and widened as he got closer. He was watching him all the while. Zaidian thought Kent appeared to be lost. Zaidian was following Kent and optimistic he would stop and hold place but the guy JUST KEPT GOING! Zaidian sighed. He brought his left arm back slightly and whipped it forward.

At incredible speeds, Zaidian would glide along the ground and stop infront of Kent, leaving a blurry after image where he was. His stance, posture, and face would remain unchanged. "I know you to be a demon hunter, though I would not normally interfere with agents of your cause, in the act of closing the trap on your prey, I will not allow you to manipulate Kahleen, as you have." Zaidian 's head was facing in the direction Kent was before he moved. Zaidian, in a twitch, turns his head to face Kent again. "It is not my duty to protect others of my kind but, as a father, it is my obligation to protect my daughter. There are many other demons in this world that hold position as a high-priority target. Perhaps they could occupy your attention, in her place." Zaidian paused. In a blink of an eye, he reached his left arm behind him, brought it back to his front side, and opened his hand to drop a cigar at Kent's feet, as if to eleviate some confusion. "I will not persue you, Hunter." A faint, red light shimmered down Zaidian's rusty sword. "But if you damage her in anyway and I will know, your actions will not go unmarked or unnoticed." Zaidian paused, his face still blank dispite his words. "Is there anything I've said that has left you to be confused or have I made my self clear, Hunter?" Zaidian asked calmly as he stared at Kent.

Garoth looks up at the popping, focusing his attention on the statue for the moment before it began moving toward Kent, staring at the empty space it no longer occupies for a moment before turning to look where it went, refocusing back on it where it stands talking to Kent and he begins to make his way over, catching only part of the conversation.

Kahleen blinked at the way her dad delt with Kent. She couldnt help but to smile. He is usually WAY more harsh then this. Kahleen readjusted her cane and sat up."I'll be back later with more candy, kids." She said walking back to her motorcylce. She put the helmet back on and burned out, driving southward but the engine seems to just shut off, not much further away.

A nearby statue approached Kent with immpossible speeds. As soon as the hunter had time to react he drew his sword as a reflex, it's silvery edge glistening in the moonlight. Every word spoken to Kent reached his ears in as much comprehension as possible. The exile gritted his teeth as he made eyecontact with the speaker, looking into the emotionless face.

Kent Held his ground prefectly against the newcommer, His eyes only looking down at the cigar dropped by his feet. Finally, the man stopped talking. "Speak softer, nightwalker," He spoke with a harsh tone,"your words seem misguided." Kent didn't know quite what he was talking to, but he was positive that the creature didn't understand Kent's intentions. "My name is Kent, exile, and demon hunter." He introduced himself. "I do not know a woman by the name of 'Kahleen,' nor have a manipulated anyone to my cause. I stand alone."

Garoth cringes somewhat at the mention of Kahleen's name... well, this may be a problem if this creature actually knew her. He walks cautiously over and sits on the closest bench, wondering if Kahleen would forgive him for letting someone who knows her get hurt by Kent... or vice-versa...

Zaidian blinked at Kent's ignorance. Zaidian wasnt angered by it, though. His daughter did well and he even felt proud of how she carried herself."The one you call Consiland, Hunter." He said shifting his eyes to where Kahleen would be coming from, though the viewer might not be able to tell because he lacked pupils. He returned his attention to Kent. "Kahleen is my daughter and she is native to this world unlike you. If you bring the wrath of your otherworldly beliefs out on her..." Zaidian stopped, giving Kent enough credit to know where he was going with that.

Kent was awestruck. "Her name..." He stepped back, Zaidian had stuck a cord. Kent didn't know what to think. He looked back at the statuesque figure. "Speak your reasoning, sir." Kent said, attempting to give the father some respect. "I don't know why you are worried about my wrath, nor how your daughter fits into it." Kent raised an eyebrow, "Speak now, why would I bring harm to her?"

Zaidian would raise a brow. He looked at the moogle. The moogle shrugged. "Dont look at me. I didnt know either...Well...You know, UNTIL SHE ATE MY THROAT!" Zaidian looked back at Kent. "You are easily confused as to what things really are around you, verses what they appear as. That will fade with age but let me enlighten you, Hunter. She is a creature of the night. A night walker. A child of the bat. Apart of the legion of the dead. An immortal-drinker..." Zaidian paused to read Kent's face. He then began to wonder if Kent would have ever figured it out on his own. He took a deep breath. "I cant stop now. You would figure out the hard way like 'Broth' over there. She is a Vampire, Kent. A demon of the night. She is no different then me." Zaidian glanced at Kent's swornd but didnt seem threatened.

Kent's face grew the most harsh glare anyone in Truce has ever witnessed from him. A Cruel, heartless glint was in his eye, staring into the blank face of you. His teeth grit clamped together as his face formed what looked like the purest form of hatred ever produced. A painter couldn't have symbolised the emotion better. "Leave, nightwalker." He spoke. "Your lies polute my ears." The grip on Kent's sword grew tighter. If the sword could have bled, it would. Kent couldn't pay attention to anything else in the world. It was a silence for him, just Kent, the Vampire, and his rage. "Just. Go."

Garoth pieces things together rather nicely... muttering under his breath "okay, so 'daddy' knows about the incident the other night... and he's calling me 'broth' too" he gets up and begins walking towards the obviously armed beings: the first is a powerful vampire and protective father, the second is a demon hunter and prospective suitor to the first's daughter.... yeah, this should go over well..."It's Garoth... and whether she is a blood drinker or not, I intend to stand by ber side and help her where applicable" he glances over at Kent, his flames flickering a little "I hope you can stand up to the same measure of honor, paladin"

Kahleen waked in from the north, with gauze draped over her shoulders and she juggles some various cheap medical supplies. Is this what took her so long to get back? She was in her standard wear this time. She seemed happy, though she wondered how Kent would react to what she is. "Why are you smiling? Your father is going to have to save you from that monster you dated, Kahleen." Kahleen said "Dont you have anything better to do?" "Then be your subconscious? No...No, I dont." Kahleen shook her head. "Kent is a good guy and even YOU know that." Kahleen said as she obliviously smiled.

"Yeah...This is one of those moments I was talking about." The moogle said to Kahleen. He was still at the fountain. "This is not how I thought today would go, honestly" He expressively held his paws up."Why is everyone so grumpy all the time." The moogle watched you leave and Kahleen return.

"Shut up Garoth." Kent dismissed the pumpkinhead's advice. He didn't care what Garoth said, it was Just Kent and you. He listened to the vampire speak more, and then he finally left. Kent stood there for a long moment, taking deep breaths. His grip loosened on his sword. Even the nightwalker was smart enough to avoid Kent in his rage. Kent turned his body around and faced away from where Consiland's father stood. Kent picked up the cigar the vampire dropped by his feet. If any of that was true, Kent would find out. But for right now, he needed his blood pressure to go down. He didn't feel like polishing his sword tonight, it didn't need to taste blood.

Garoth shrugs at the rebuke, he said his piece, his eyes flickering and dimming slightly for a moment as the words 'Stubborn as a mule' flow across Kent's back in a glowing pink script of harmless faerie fire. Walking a short ways off before Zaidian disappears and cheering up visibly at the sight of Kahleen, walking over to offer her a hug "Met daddy'. Cheerful sort"

Kahleen saw Kent in a way she never has. She looked at Garoth and took comfort in his one facial expression. She caught the medical supplies and put them in her pocket before she gave Garoth a wave and flashed a smile then joining in his hug. "Then you did not meet my father!" She declared. Kahleen was ignorant to most of what her father had said but it seemed to of had a bad affect on Kent. "S'cuse me, Garoth." She gently placed a hand on Kent's shoulder. Kahleen took a deep breath. "Ken-" She closed her eyes. "Kent...Are you okay? This is all pretty much my fault...I should of told you, I just didnt know how you would handle it. And my father...That wasnt me. That was all him." "Dont apologize to him, Kahleen. At that, you might wont to grab a dagger before he takes off your head." Kahleen sighed. It was her way of showing she was agitated with herself.

Kent turned his head so he could see her face. He didn't know what emotion to show, so he just looked frusterated. His heartbeat slowed down as he heard her voice. He remembered back to the party, her mirage, her flying. It was starting to peace together in his mind. He didn't say much though, just one sad question. "Your name... It isn't Consiland, is it?"

Garoth stands about, simply listening, his hands beginning to unbutton his bothersome shirt further, not intending to stay another night in it.... the fabric had been clinging to him like webbing for the past few days.

Kahleen thought about it "Rule three-"-"Rule one"-"Rule ONE of being a thief. Never-ever reveal your true identity....With you being, as you say, and esteemed theif chaser, this should come as no surprise to you, Kent. I planned to tell you my name is Kahleen..." "You also planned to use him as a distraction at the party so you could get loot." "That was NOT me! That was ALL you and you know it!" She screamed. "What am I?" Kahleen paused. Kahleen looked at Kent. "Sorry!" She said smiling bashfully.

Kent turned around completely to face Kahleen. He dropped his sword entirely and grabbed both of her shoulders. It wasn't threatening at all, Kent's face looked sad and desperate. It's as if he grabbed her for saftey. "Tell me then, Kahleen...What about the other things. He told me that..." He stopped, and looked into her eyes as sincerly as he could. He couldn't find the right words.

Kahleen brought her mouth to one side of her her face as she thought about it. "This was obviously a lot for Kent to take in. I dont know what Father has told him so I might as well spill the blood." She said narrating herself, not realizing it was spoken aloud. "The beans?" "What did I say?" "The blood!" "Right...The beans." She came back to reality and looked at Kent. Kahleen held her hands on top of Kent's hands. "I am a vampire, if thats what you are asking. I am not-NOT a killer, Kent. I just have a different life style." "A different lifestyle that involves KILLING, YA KILLER. ANYWAY...I'll be over here if ya need me. If you do need me, dont ask. Because I dont care. If you think I do, I dont." The moogle said walking over to Garoth checking him out.

Kent's face went completely blank with confusion. His arms fell to his side slowly. He examined Kahleen's face, trying to get a bearing on his emotions. For only a moment, he glanced at his sword by his feet. Then, Kent made his final decision. He wrapped his arms gently around Kahleen, and without a word, he kissed her on the lips. When their faces pulled apart he finally spoke again. "I don't care."

Kahleen carefully watched Kent. She followed his eyes to the sword he had discarded. Then he leaned in and they locked lips. This caught Kahleen off guard as her eyes flew open wide. "HE DISTRACTED YOU WITH THE KISS AND NOW HE IS ARMED!!" Kahleen visually placed the sword in his hands. He drew back to swing. "I don't care." Kahleen heard him say. As Kent held his arms back, winding up for the swing, Kahleen shook her head. She looked on the ground. After a long silence and her eyes narrowing at the spot the sword was she looked up. "Stop messing with me!" She stated in a raised voice. She looked back at Kent and his sword was gone. She ran over and gave him a hug, looking up at the sky starting to brighten.

Kent held Kahleen close as she hugged him. He didn't want to let her go, but he looked at the stars go out above him and the moon set. Their moment was over. "I don't know how you prefer to spend your time," He said, "But where I come from, you shouldn't spend much time in daylight." Kent kissed her forehead gently. "You still going to be so hard to find all the time?"

Kahleen tapped her finger on her chin looking at the sky. She looked over at Garoth then back to Kent. "My place is a mess right now..." She started walking to the south and stopped. "If thats okay with you..." She turned around and smiled at Garoth and Kent. "Did you guys wanna come?!" She screeched.

Kent picked up his sword off the ground when he let Kahleen go. He sheathed it, then walked to where he dropped the one he was going to give Kimen. "Unfourtunately, madame, I have plans." Kent responded. "I have a student to train. in a few hours, and I'd hate to disapoint on the first day."

Garoth removes his shoes and the footlike stilts that were shoved in them, standing about level with normal people now, his pants too long for his legs. He looks down at his pants and sighs "well, there goes the idea of keeping them..." he chuckles as he turns to kahleen "we never did make it to your house the other day"

Kahleen looked at Kent. "Oh, I understand. I need to find my pupil, as well. So...I'll see you at the fountain sometime?" She implied smiling bashfully. She ran over to Kent and gave him another kiss before stealing Garoth and running to the south. She turned the corner where a motorcycle was parked. A polka dotted dress hung out of the saddle bags. She jumped on the bike, gesturing Garoth on...

Garoth signals for Kahleen to wait "Hold on, I need to drop these off... I can think of someone who would probably appreciate them more than me" he removes his pants and folds them, stacking the shoes/socks and stilts on top before beginning to walk north, grabbing the shirt to stack on top along the way, coming back a few moments later without anything but his loincloth and his new black coat "Ready when you are" he hops on the back of motorcycle and holds onto Kahleen.
