Moogle Cave - Tunnel Fork
A drop of water falls from the ceiling repeatedly here, forming a deep puddle. The drip drip dripping echoes down the tunnels as here the path issplit into three. Light is filtering in from the east, while the north andsouth continue the same cramped passages that run throughout the mountain like veins.

Kahleen vision was fading in and out, through the one eye that fought to remain open. She could see the faint glow of day break, as Garoth carried her through the streets of Truce. Kahleen could feel the heat singing at her bare skin. She looked at Garoth and wondered what to say. She didnt really have time to contemplate and she doubted he would bring her home in time. Kahleen tried to keep her head up but the sun was zapping what little energy and strength she had. "" Kahleens words fell short when she went limp...

He blinks at the instructions but nods, adjusting her limp form in his arms as he keeps an eye out for the cave. Garoth finds a hidden entrance, since he was looking for something like it... maybe it was what she was talking about, and making his way carefully in, setting you down beside a small pool of dripping water "Ah, I hope you let me know why you wanted in here when you wake" he sits down beside her and reclines back on his hands. Remaining unbothered by the dark cave, Garoth's magical nature allowing him to see well enough even in the darkest caves, even before counting the fact that he literally has a flame burning inside his pumpkin skull.

Kahleen layed in the darkness and even found the strength to tap a finger on the cave's floor. She started to visually place the heartbeats that echoed throughout the cave, though her eyes were closed. The orchestra of thumps had reached their forte, Garoth's being the loudest. Kahleen heard the light, padded foot steps closing in, under the racket. A cave native moogle made its was down one of the passages, to the spring. Noticing the two, he waved his little paw. "Kupo!" He said in greeting. He began to cirlce Kahleen, approaching the spring. Kahleen gasped for air and sat up. Her eyes flew open wide, fully bloodshot. The moogle, startled, flenched. "KUO?!" Kahleen reached for him, putting the death grip on his leg. She swung him over her to her other side. *CRACK!* He was slammed onto the ground and bounced up. Kahleen threw her self on top of him, baring her fangs. The moogle threw a flurry of punches at her, frenzied in fear.

Kahleen ignored the pain even though her nose was dripping blood. She dove, face first into his neck and bit down. The moogle kicked and screeched. After a few moments the moogle was limp...Kahleen sat up, her eyes normal, yet in awe. She looked down at the lifeless moogle then to Garoth. A tears were setting on her bottom eye lid and building

Garoth smiles at the moogle, giving a small wave with his free hand, still in the middle of his wave when all hell seems to break loose before him, the events moving in slow motion for him as his mind struggles to take in every detail of everything, taking a few moments of shock to begin his own movements, taking to his feet to try reaching her as her fangs pierce through fur and flesh, his shaking hand on her shoulder as she turns to look up at him.

"well, shit...." It's the only thought he can vocalize as he realizes what she is, and what has happened to the moogle before him... and the fact that it doesn't change who she is. These thoughts clashing violently with each other within Garoth's mind as he tries to think of what to do now, nearly freezing up with his hand still resting shakily on her shoulder. The look of terror within her own eyes staying his feet even more.

Kahleen wiped her chin and looked at the blood that transferred to her hand. Her hand started to shake before Kahleen would throw it about, almsost as if she was trying to get rid of her hand. "It is only nature, Kahleen. Sure. It looks bad. It IS bad but this is the price you pay when you go too long without. Just...Just stay calm, Kahleen. It will be okay." Kahleen shook off the words. "No-no-no-no-NO! Not AGAIN!"

Kahleen dipped her hand in the spring and spashed water on her face. She rubbed the blood out and smeared her makeup. Again and again. She saw there was blood on her tunic. Kahleen, in a panic, pulled her tunic off and casted away from her, leaving her only in her spaghetti-strapped under gown. She would even stand up and kick it even further away from her. She sat her back against the rock wall, her legs folded to her chest and her arms crossed over her shins.

Kahleen glared suspiciously at Garoth. "Please dont hate me, Garoth." A translucent form of the Moogle stood up, out of the body. "You killed me! You actually killed me but HEY you gotta full belly, right?!" "Ignore him, you couldn't help it." Kahleen tried to keep her eyes on Garoth. "I didnt mean to..."

Garoth backs up a few steps as she moves about and begins to panic, his mind torn again between fleeing what may be a demonic entity and staying to help his friend. His loyalty wins, ability to flee visibly deflating at her plea. Garoth moves quickly to enfold Kahleen in a hug as he kneels beside her "Damnit, I don't hate you...but this is -really- fucked up" he holds Kahleen close, his pumpkin resting against the side of her head as he tries to comfort her.

Kahleen peered through the darkness, almost concerned if someone was watching. "Thank you, Garoth. I know this is pretty bad. I dont mean to do these things. I'm a thief, not a killer." The ghostly moogle scoffed "Pah! Oh, so you aren't a killer, you say? Then what the HELL is THAT!!" he said pointing to his body. Kahleen ignored the moogle or at least tried. Kahleen drags her lips to one side looking at the body. "So..." She sighed. "So, a behemoth did it?" Kahleen suggested. "Or did I?" She added as a hint. Maybe she was throwing the matter into Garoth's hands. "Whatever you decide...I understand."

Garoth begins to comfortingly stroke down Kahleen's back, completely oblivious to her undressed state "I'll think of something... but it can wait." He continues to hold her for awhile, trying to be comforting and calming, a naggling thought in his mind hoping she isn't still a danger to him.

Kahleen looked at Garoth wondering what he was thinking. "He seems comfortable with this...Perhaps too comfortable." The moogle checked his surroundings, then his body, then settling back on Kahleen."Yeah, ya know. I'm not going anywhere. We'll just deal with this...Ya know. Whenever. Take you're time. This is probably hard on you emotionally, I bet." The moogle said sarcastically. Kahleen asked. "Garoth. You should probably just-That was an accident and I dont know if-I dont want to..." Kahleen said stumbling over her words.

Garoth nods and sighs, drawing back and scrutinizing Kahleen, his hands resting on her shoulders "Are you sure you're alright?" His flames flickering a little in worry.

Kahleen blinked. "That was his way out. Why didnt he take it?" She spoke accidentally. "Because he wants to be your friend so he can get you when you least expect it?" Kahleen looked off into nothing. "Shut up." She looked at Garoth. "I uh...I'm fine, I guess. If only I left sooner, this would have never happened. The whole night was a mess, wasnt it?" "You killed Ball-Z" Kahleen drew her lips to one side of her mouth. "Thats right...I did stop the ball." The moogle pointed his paw at Kahleen. "AH-HAH! Not a killer my ass. You are on a roll today, arent you?! How many before you've met your quota? Kahleen the thief-Hah! More like Kahleen the relentless KILLER!" Kahleen glared at the moogle. "Just saying..." The moogle added.

Garoth chuckles at her spoken thought "I didn't take it as a way out, because you're my friend, and I'm going to get you through this" affectionately bonks foreheads with her before standing and grabbing the moogle corpse, starting to walk deeper into the caves "Know if there are any more of these about?"

Kahleen glanced about the area. "Theres several heartbeats, though I dont know if they are of the same kin?" Kahleen seemed to be looking through the cavern walls. "They have faster heartbeats, I think." Kahleen pointed to what would be the center of the cave's tunnel network. "The rapid beats are coming from there..." she said in a dull tone. The ghostly moogle sighed at Garoth took his lifeless body. "...I never even got the drink." He said, agitated.

Garoth looks back at Kahleen, a light shudder running through his body as he blinks at her "That's actually kinda creepy... but okay, I'll be back." he begins to walk away towards the area she mentioned but stops just short of exiting the cave, not turning around "I will be back, and I am still your friend, that fact will not change because of this... I promise."

A group of adult moogles approach Garoth from all sides. The carry their spears, staffs, and various other weapons, all sharing the same expression. The crowd parts, making way for what would appear to be the leader. He looked at the body of the deceased moogle and frowned. He knelt down before Garoth and tapped the ground with his paw. "He left the safety of the cave, Kupo?" He said gesturing Garoth to lay the corpse down. "Did you see what happened, Kupo?" He asked rubbing his fuzzy chin.

Kahleen took a deep breath and held it for awhile before releasing a sigh, watching Garoth carry the body away. "What a great accomplice, you have there. So, whats the cover up story? I got it! A weather balloon! They'll buy into that, I bet." The moogle said laughing. Kahleen glared at the moogle before facing the tunnel Garoth passed into. "He doesn't even know my name...WAIT! Yeah, he does!" "No, he knows two of your fakey-names." Kahleen says "Oh...Why do you think he's trying to help me after all...This?" "Its a ploy to murder you?" Kahleen slapped at the air. "Shut up! Let it go, he had his opportunity."

Garoth nods and kneels, setting the corpse carefully on the ground, nodding in deference to the moogle that appears to be their leader "I did... I had just brought my weakened companion in with me to the cave when it happened, the creature I saw fled as soon as it noticed me. With your blessing I intend to personally track this being and do everything I can to make certain a tragedy like this doesn't happen again" he nods slowly, speaking no false words, hoping it's enough for the chief to let him go.

Garoth used lying method-2

'Garoth brought Kahleen in, and she attacked the moogle, the mindless bloodrage fled from Kahleen when she realized he was there. If the chief will allow him, he is going to go back to her and try to help her with her condition in any way he can, including giving blood'

Lying, method 1: Fabrication of facts, there may be some truth in there but it is not all truth.

Lying, method 2: Misleading, either by omission of facts, or by wording it in a way that can be taken with a different perspective, this method is often prefered by mythical beings.

Lying, method 3: Tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, but do it in a way that goes unbelieved.
*Moving on*
Mog followed Garoth's movements as he laid the moogle down. "Well, Kupo...you are taking on quite a burden. Thank you, Kupo! I-We would be greatful to you." The surrounding moogles throw their arms, spears, etcetera up and make a grunting noise together. "We will party in memory of him. You are welcome to party with us, Kupo!" Mog asked sincerely. The other moogles seemed more at ease by this point.

Garoth bows before the moogle leader "Thank you for the offer, but I need to get back to my companion. She can take care of herself, but I would rather not risk it. I offer my condolences to the family. he bows again and nods to Mog before turning and walking back through the caves in the direction of Kahleen.

Kahleen heard Garoth walking through the tunnel he left in, now on his way back. She stood up and held her arm with her opposing hand, seeming nervous. "Whelp! Looks like he did it. He ditched the corpse." The moogle said. He looked up at Kahleen and smiled. "Is he like your grave digger or something?" He asked trying not to laugh. Kahleen saw Garoth in view. "How...How'd that go?" She inquired as she was begining to shake.

Garoth stops in the entryway to the cave, resting a hand against the wall, his heartbeat likely a little erratic to her ears "It went okay, they're going to celebrate his life and... I dunno, give him a moogle style burial I guess." he stands there a moment before making his way slowly over, kneeling to brush a strand of hair away from her face "You're alright?".

Kahleen lightly smirked in relief. She sighed as if some of the weight was taken off. She watched Garoth kneel down. "He has a KNIFE!" As Garoth moved a strand of Kahleen's hair, she visually placed a knife in his other hand and jerked back, thumping her head on the rock. The moogle laughed at Kahleen. "Yeah! Just keep doing that!" he said jokingly. Kahleen looked at his hand again. There was no knife. "Why did you say that?!" Kahlee asked angered. "I thought he had one. I mean you saw it too!" Kahleen started rubbing the back of her head. "Sorry...I'm fine, though. Thanks for everything, Garoth." She faked a smile for him. "Hey, didnt you have to meet someone?"
Kahleen looked off to the side. "Uh..No?!" She asked the air with her brow raised in confusion.

Garoth reaches out in reflex as Kahleen jerks back, not quick enough to keep her from bonking her head, watching her yell at herself a little "Why did I say what?" he smiles lightly at her and helps her to her feet "Glad to see you finally remember my name. Should I be calling you Fobelid or Cosiland?"

Kahleen looked at Garoth as seriously as she could. After a few moments she would burst into laughter. She used his help to get to her feet as her laughter would die off. "I'm-I'm, uh..." She would look around. She looked at the cavern walls, the spring, and then settling on the discarded dress. "I'm Waliness!" She stated with a light giggle. "I'm Lady Kahleen!" She said before she would curtsey properly. "Lady Kahleen the efficient killer, sounds more like it." The moogle added.

"Rule one of the thief, never-ever reveal your true identity..." Kahleen completely ignored the words. "I have always remembered your name, Garoth!" She said thinking he was joking. She suddenly paused and tapped her finger on her chin. "Wait...No...No-yeah, I have!" She said confirming her claim.

Garoth looks quizzically at Kahleen, chuckling at the obviously fake name, though at the real name he would hold her hand and bring it up to his pumpkin to try kissing it, though quickly realizing his folly and chuckling as he lets her take her hand back "A pleasure to meet your acquaintance. I am certain you have remembered my name, with a little word stumbling." he takes a few steps back, much more relaxed now "Where to now, m'lady?" he performs a deep sweeping bow, the fires in his eyes aglow.

Kahleen thought Garoth's display, with his costume was amusing. She covered her mouth and pointed at him with the other that was freed and giggled. "Well, I guess its probably dark enough now to travel. Freakin' sun. I'm gonna steal that one day!" She said jokingly. "You were supposed to meet someone, Kahleen." Kahleen thought about it as she tapped a finger on her chin. She suddenly had a look of fear and surprise on her face. "Oh, no! Father!" Kahleen squealed and darted to her dress on the ground. She saw the blood on it and and remembered why it was discarded. She then shuffled to the exit and realized she forgot to say bye to Garoth. She ran back to him. "I gotta-I'm late-I gotta go! Thank you again, Garoth!" She gave him a one arm half-hug and scurried through the hidden passage.

Garoth smiles up at her and stands up straight again "Only you would be capable of such a daring statement" though his lips are permanently etched in a smile, theres something less smily about him at her mention of father, trying to follow her as she begins rushing about "Father who?" he is almost entirely ignored as she rushes off, leaving him standing there. Though he is surprised as she runs back in just to hug him, giving half a hug in return before she's gone again, chuckling and shaking his pumpkin before walking towards truce "I hope you let me keep my promise."
