Free City, Truce - Fountain
A tiered fountain marks the center of Truce, water gushing from its
summit and trickling into a deep, wide basin, wrapped by a ring of benches.
Roads flow like rivers away from the fountain, and houses sprout like weeds
all around them. Not far to the east, the ocean roars in the harbor.

The heart of Truce seems a little more fortified than usual tonight, for some pre-determined but as-yet unknown reason; a few extra guards are posted in locations not normally needing more than one, and though the atmosphere is not exactly tense, they are there, just the same.

Just leaving toward the west, a woman in a bright red dress and sporting midnight blue hair is seen just as she makes her exit, followed by a small group of bright green bursts of magical light. In her wake, a small white cat-creature is left sitting on the pavement, looking after her with a very peculiar expression.

Mogwai walks through the center of Truce, idly munching on a grilled carp. She gives the additional guards a glance, but doesn't show her apprehension. The sight of Kyuubey causes her to glance around for Wishborn however.

Kyuubey turns somewhat from where he's seated on the cobbles, and begins idly bathing himself, much like a normal cat.

Rizar walks by the fountain with his new arm. It's been double plated with steel to make sure it doesn't break so easily next time.

Finn seems to also be in the area this night, whistling to himself as he approaches from the north. He's dirty and parts of his clothes are ripped and missing, but he doesn't really seem to be all that worse for wear. Just part of what being a hero is all about! For the time, he doesn't really notice the extra security measures, just looking to head to the fountain to finally relax after a long day.

"Just leaving toward the west, a woman in a bright red dress and sporting midnight blue hair is seen just as she makes her exit, followed by a small group of bright green bursts of magical light. In her wake, a small white cat-creature is left sitting on the pavement, looking after her with a very peculiar expression."

Rizar sits by the human boy and looks up at the sky, "The stars. They look the same in every universe. Why do you think that is?"

Finn slowly moves to a stop near the fountain, leaning down - when he's sure no guards are watching - to get his hands damp, rubbing the dirt and grime out of his face. When Rizar speaks up, he glances over at the other. "Huh? I never really thought about it," he admits, looking up at the sky. Sure enough, they look not unlike they do back in Ooo. "Huh. That's pretty math, man."

Rizar says 'Pretty "math?" I do not understand.'

It is at this point that Kyuubey might make some higd-end statement about star composition and placement within the vacuum of space and how they are reflected from the current location in the universe, but instead, he keeps washing himself. Even if he's not a real cat, he's putting up a good front.

Finn blinks at Rizar. "Math. Y'know. Awesome, cool, sweet, super. That sorta thing. It's, uh.. a figure of speech back where I'm from." He turns and settles his rear on one of the benches, leaning back to relax. He's not paying much attention to the cat, figuring it's just that: a cat.

Rizar takes his Soul Gem out of his backpack and looks at it as he lays down on his back.

Mogwai looks up at the stars "Looks nothing like where I'm from. I can't even make out the Titan constellation."

Rizar says 'I've been running possible simulations of what would happen if all the Wishborn had just suddenly vanished. The most interesting outcome is that the Witches kill the Yoma and they become the dominant species on this planet.'

Finn peers over at Rizar again as he speaks of simulations. "Huh?" He scratches at his chin, then he seems to remember. "Oh, oh, right. I think you told me about that, didn't you?" He digs out a rag to dry his face with. "No problem. I don't think they'd just up and poof or anything. Seems like you're in for the long haul."

Kyuubey stops washing himself, one paw still in the air, and gives Rizar a strange look. "Exactly where are you getting your information from, there? I've heard my own share of predictions regarding myself and mine, but that is by and large the most exaggerated one yet. Witches don't kill Yoma; by all technicalities, they are on the same side. There are even occasions when it is not uncommon to encounter a Yoma in a Witch's labyrinth."

Rizar says 'I based their erratic behavior off the Witch that I last encountered. And that made the simulations unstable.'

"Most Witches are much more erratic than Loraine was. She was at the top tier, which could be noted by the fact that she was able to retain a humanoid form instead of becoming a monster." Kyuubey rests his paw back on the ground, still giving Rizar his strange gaze.

Rizar says 'Can the Witches and the Yoma learn?'

Finn blinks a little bit at the talking cat. It doesn't really come as a surprise to him because, well, he's met talking dogs before.. and he had a dream once about talking cats. Even so, he doesn't seem to off-put by it. He shakes his head a little bit. Whatever they're speaking about seems to fly right over his head as he puts away his rag. He lets the two speak, not interrupting.

Kyuubey says 'Learn? Not truly. They are sentient and aware, and as such can "catch on" to certain things. But the corruption has essentially removed them of their sanity. They will never again be the people they once were.'

Rizar says '...'

Kyuubey says 'They prey on the 'normal' people, eternally jealous of what they can no longer have. This is why they are a threat.'

Rizar falls into the fountain.

Kyuubey says nothing of this event, instead turning away from Rizar to look down the western avenue, apparently intent on something otherwise. His poofy tail flicks and waves, interestedly.

Finn notes the cat's attention turning away from the Reploid, and he, too, turns his head to peer down the western avenue, curious to see what the cat seems to be seeing.. or anticipating, it seems, when he notes nothing of interest immediately. "Hm."

Kyuubey says 'It seems that boy will not be returning anytime soon, at least not for real lengths of time. This is an interesting development; I had figured him as a unique conception, but it turns out he has a mother and entire bloodline before him. None of my business, this is, but I can't help but express my amusement.'

Rizar says 'Boy?'

Kyuubey says 'The one you encountered awhile ago. He did some respectable damage to the city and its militia, if I recall correctly. The one apparently descended from some god-like entity.'

Rizar says 'Ambience.'

Finn seems, as one might expect, a bit disappointed that nothing seems to come out of that. He seems a bit confused after that, but stays quiet, either way. Normally he'd be asking questions, but he feels that he'll learn more just listening.

Kyuubey says 'Yes, I suppose that is his name. I wasn't truly paying close attention.'

A small glimmer appears in the sky above the square. Moments later, Helios- doing his best impression of a silently screaming meteor- smashes down into the fountain in an explosion of water and steam.

Kyuubey is thankful for this being the one time he isn't anywhere near the fountain enough to get wet from this impact, ears perking up from the aquatic explosion.
Action forced.

Rizar says '...I wonder if he is mad at me for using his body as a weapon.'

Helios slowly bobs to the surface looking very battered and scorched. He moans in what appears to be pain, though it is hard to tell since he makes no noise and has no face to speak of. "..."

Rizar attempts to pick up Helios and repair him.

Helios freaks out and flies backwards, attempting to put the fountain between himself and Rizar. "...! ... ... ...!"

Mogwai glances over at Helios "That still going on?" she snaps her fingers at Helios, casting an Esuna spell "Better?"

Finn is, understandably, drenched, as he was seated near the fountain.. but he seems too intrigued about Helios to really care. It's ironic.. it's the same way that he'd arrived in this place. He doesn't make any noise, seems to not have any way to speak. A mute? "Hey, maybe you oughta leave him alone," he muses at Rizar.

Nagol washes himself off with a Cloth Rag from his backpack

Rizar says '...'

Helios hovers in place for a moment. "Is it fixed... Oh, thank Mechonis, no more laughter!"

Helios does what seems to be a celebratory dance before finally looking around at the rest of the people at the fountain. "Thank you, Mogwai. It appears that being express mailed to Zebes was good for our emotional matrix."

Rizar says 'Zebes? Was that planet not destroyed?'

Nagol looks confused at what Helios says.

Finn blinks. Still more things that go over his head. He settles in back against the wet bench, not really seeming to mind, since he's still wet, himself. Air drying seems to be the way to go as he listens.

Helios turns to Rizar. "No, and you keep away from our circuts! You would fail the game of operation, and give us back our armor!"

Rizar stares blankly for a moment before responding, "Ok." He pulls off his new arm and hands it to Helios.

Nagol Nagol hands Finn a Dry Cloth Rag.

Helios stars blankly at the arm. "You... YOU TURNED OUR ARMOR INTO AN ARM!" Helios arms his laser in rage.

Rizar says '...My arm was torn off in the previous battle.'

"A vaudeville group if ever there was one. If I could express my amusement easily, rest assured that I would be doing so." Kyuubey speaks without turning around, only waving his tail in response.

Rizar says 'I can put it back into the state it used to be in.'

Finn nods at Nagol as the rag is offered. It's drier than his other rag. "Hey, thanks." A pause, before he can use it, to note the laser arming. Clearly, something's happening here that he's not privy to. "Whoa, hey."

Helios glares at Rizar while disarming his laser. "Good. Make it so."

Rizar walks away, and comes back with a crudely made cover for Helios.

Helios stares at it. "Is that... Canvas?"

Rizar says '...Yes.'

Helios glares at it. "Just give us the stupid plate."

Rizar gives the plate to Helios.

Helios reattaches the plate, making his armor whole once more. "Finally. Those last few weeks sucked."

Finn glances back at Helios, finally, as things seem to at least be settling down a bit. "So, hey, what happened?" He slips off the bench, and scoots over closer to Rizar and Helios.

Rizar says 'I used his body as a weapon.'

Rizar says 'His mining lasers were effective.'

Finn blinks. "Oh. No wonder he was mad. I'd be pretty mad, too," he muses. "Then again, I don't have detachable parts. But that'd be math as heck if I could and survive it." No kidding there, either. Robo-Finn. That'd be scary. Then there's the mention of lasers. "Lasers? That's awesome, man!"

Helios says 'I was wrecked, shorted out, used like a tissue, dunked in lava, punched all the way to Zebes, offended something there and sent sailing back here. How has your week been?'

Finn shrugs. "Oh, well, you know, lots of adventure. Doesn't seem as exciting as what you've been doing, though. You guys are pretty neat! I wish I could handle heat like lava and stuff." He offers a hand toward Helios and Rizar. "I'm Finn. Nice to meet ya."

Helios nods proudly. "We are equipped with the highest caliber mining/demolition beam avalable to the Research and development department of Mechonis.

Mogwai says 'Well hey, the dunked in lava bit wasn't TOO bad was it?'

Rizar says 'It's not lava that's on Zebes. It's acid.'

Helios stares dumbly at the hand. "uhhh..."

Rizar says 'Finn. Helios has no hands.'

Mogwai says '...I know. He was with me, fighting the Lord of Flames Ifrit. He was... forcibly removed'

Helios says 'We went to a volcano to find treasure. It went... well.'

Mogwai says 'We had to swim through lava to reach him, nothing big. The human with us wouldn't stop bitching about it though...'

Nagol smiles and says "It's nice to meet you Helios and Rizar, I'm Nagol."

Helios says 'Being express mailed to Zebes was not on our agenda. Nice to meet you as well.'

Mogwai says 'I'm glad to see you alive, by the way.'

Helios shakes himself off. "It pleases us to be alive as well"

Helios says 'Did you get whatever you were looking for?'

Kyuubey just looks between the goings-on behind him at the fountain, and alternating between it and the westward direction, seemingly keeping his interest to himself and not outwise vocal. His ears twitch and bend out from time to time, indicating that he is still paying attention to things, despite the matter.

Nagol takes out circuts and wires out of his backpack.

Finn blinks. "Oh, yeah, you're right. Sorry." He retracts the hand. He glances over at Mogwai for a moment, but doesn't really say anything. "Man, I need to go on these awesome adventures, too.."

Mogwai says 'Always interested in a tagalong. I'll let you know when I figure out where we're going next.'

Nagol starts connecting circuts together making some kind of machine

Finn nods toward Mogwai. "That sounds pretty math. Thanks! I promise, I totally won't drag you guys down. I'm pretty good with a sword, or my fists. I'm ready to throw down with whoever, whenever, wherever. Aw, yeah!" Naturally, this little speech is accompanied with a bit of shadowboxing and fake sword-slashes for accentuation of his claims.

Helios looks over and notices Kyuubey. "Oh hey. It's you, not- cat."

Helios says 'How have you been, and have you seen the boy around? We are becoming worried about him.'

Nagol smiles at Finn while continuing his work on the circuts

Mogwai chuckles at Finn.

Kyuubey says 'I have not. Though I found out recently that he is not the only one of his kind. I know not if this helps, but it is information nontheless.'

Kyuubey says 'I am under the impression that we may not be seeing him much in the coming days. For awhile, at least. His mother seemed rather clear on that.'

Finn blinks over at the cat, before he moves to settle in next to Mogwai, poking gently at her, curious. It's clear that, though he's seen plenty of Moogles, getting close enough to one to poke and prod at it has been an impossibility. He listens to Kyuubey talk, though, trying to soak in information.

Helios nods slowly. "We see. That's too bad, we had some questions for him. Did you manage to get the being controlling him yet?"

Mogwai clearly appears to enjoy the attention.

Rizar says 'I have added that into my database.'

Nagol places a battery in the circut and it short-circuts and creates a little smoke.

Kyuubey turns to face Helios at that notion, giving a brief side-glance to Rizar before he speaks. "The problem has been dealt with, yes. That unicorn and another one of my better 'pupils', if you will, saw to her demise. Unfortunate, as she had much potential before the corruption took her. But despair is a powerful thing. Too powerful, sometimes."

Rizar abruptly turns and walks away, without a word.

Finn notes that attention is enjoyed, so he plucks the Moogle up and settles her into his lap, turning to face the fountain so he can watch and listen as he pets the cute little Moogle. He seems content to relax this way, himself.

Mogwai makes cute little kupo noises.

Nagol puts the bad circuts away and grabs new ones.

Helios says 'Yes, it is. You know, we picked up some interesting scans while we were en-route to Zebes. We have learned much about the flow of energy through the universe.'

Finn hums. "That'd be pretty awesome to go travel through space. And I bet Zebes is a cool place, too. I've heard a little about it, but I didn't really look into it. Maybe I oughta go.." He seems to actually be putting serious thought into this. "Man, I wish Jake were here, though. He'd be totally in." He laments this for a moment, before he pokes softly at Mogwai's pompom. "Pokepoke. Hehe."

Kyuubey just looks at Helios, as if he were describing something he was already well-versed in.

Helios nods. "It was very... acidic. We would not reccommend it lightly."

Finn seems largely unphased by the revelation of acid. "Just makes it all the more dangerous!" Maybe he's got a screw loose.. or he just really loves going on adventures, even to dangerous places. "I've been to all kinds of places. May as well go to a place that has acid-lava." He's been paying attention, at least.

Mogwai says "I've been in space before. It's nice, but a little dull." She gives a small eep as her pom-pom is poked

Kyuubey says 'Energy comes in many forms. The volatility of it depends on the method in which it is harvested.'

Helios says 'The data we gathered will help us in our efforts to create a portal.'

Nagol listening to the conversation, works on his machine and writes on a pad of paper with a pencil.

Helios looks ay Kyuubey and tilts his core. "Such as?"

Finn goes back to scritching and petting Mogwai, pleased to be so easily accepted by the Moogle.

Helios thinks back fondly to the acid- lava lakes and angry creatures that inhabit Zebes. Well, maybe not fondly per se...

Nagol mumbles to himself while looking through his backpack.

Mogwai leans up against Finn's chest as she listens to what's going on.

Kyuubey says 'For starters, some of the most powerful energy in the Universe comes in a form you can't even see. Emotional energy, as it were. Have you heard of this?'

Nagol puts away his circuts into the backpack and grabs a container of warm ramen noodles and eats, still listening carefully
.
Finn speaks up: "Nope." Well, that seems to not be a huge surprise.

Helios thinks for a moment. "We know that there is an unusual form of energy powering our emotional matrix. Perhaps this is what you speak of?"

Kyuubey says 'Very likely. Even automated forms possess some form of it, more often than not. It comes in varying amounts, but is one of the most powerful forms of energy that exists. In fact, it is the reason for my own existence, at this time.'

Helios says 'To harvest it for some ulterior motive or something?'

Mogwai says 'Hmm... I wonder if that might be somewhat related to the "Ghost in the shell" phenomenon of machines with rudimentary A.I.'s somehow displaying a form of intelligence. That even a soulless thing could gain emotions out of nothing. Or maybe I got that theory wrong.'

Finn huhs a bit, returning to scritching and lavishing attention on the Moogle. He peers back at Helios after a moment. "Why do you think he's got an ulterior motive for it? Just 'cause he knows what it is?" He listens quietly to Mogwai, and her theory, but he isn't sure about it, so he doesn't speak up on it.

Helios says 'Perhaps. We will need to conduct a study on that phenomenon, in that case.'

Mogwai adds "Not the harvesting, the whole emotional energy thing." she gestures to her pom-pom "You can keep playing with this, just surprised me is all."

Kyuubey looks between Helios, Finn, and Mogwai silently from this point, blinking bright red eyes only a single time.

Helios says 'He has a suspicious grin. We don't trust it.'

Finn blinks at the permission from the Moogle, and he nods. "Sweet." Naturally, this means he pokes lightly at the pom-pom, watching it bounce around. It's amusing how easily pleased he is.. then again, the boy's still pretty young. "We? I dunno, I like cats. Except when they're trying to kill me." It's a long story.

Kyuubey says 'I don't ask for trust. But the fact that I have harmed no one should relate to your presumption of my "ulterior motives".'

Nagol works on his machine again, this time with a screwdiver and a watch out.

Mogwai closes her eyes and kupos softly, a light blush crossing her face. If she wasn't so distracted, she'd probably try and refute that.

Helios seems to shrug. "How about we agree to disagree?"

Finn seems too busy poking at the pom-pom to really release poor Mogwai from her distraction, smiling all the while he does this.

Kyuubey says 'I'm not wrong. Say what you like, but in the end, all your scans and tracking will indicate that my contracts have saved more lives than lost. This is a known fact, whether you choose to accept it or not.'

Kyuubey seems rather indignant, all of a sudden.

Helios seems to shrug again. "We never said that you were wrong, just that you have suspicious ways of doing the things you do."

Mogwai hugs Finn's free arm to her chest "Mmm, 's feels good."

Helios says 'But we are getting off track, you were explaining something about emotional energy if we recall.'

Kyuubey says 'Human morals and values are of no consequence to me. The way I perform my business is likely to conflict with these, regardless of the end result that is often for the 'greater good', as you call it. In the meantime, I am able to grant happiness to those who potentially have none. What happens following this is none of my concern, such that each and every living being is different. This is just how it is.'

Kyuubey nods slightly. "I was. What more about it would you like to know?"

Nagol opens the watch as it makes a small click, He takes the componets out of it and puts his circuts he created into it.

Helios says 'Why is it important to you?'

Kyuubey says 'It is important to be in the sense that electricity and circuitry are important to you. And why water and oxygen are important to land-dwellers.'

Finn chuckles softly at the positive reaction from the Moogle, still poking away at the pom-pom as he listens up to the talking. There's no reason for him to pipe in or interrupt, not when he's got Moogle in arms and lots to listen to.

Helios says 'We see.'

Kyuubey says 'With it, I am able to continue doing what I do. And it is such an abundant source of energy, it would be a shame to see it wasted. If I am able to put it to good use, then why not?'

Nagol drill a small hole onto the side of the watch and puts a small button in the hole.

Mogwai says 'I think... there are worse ways to harvest emotional energy. Actually... how strong is hope?'

Mogwai says 'Compared to despair I mean'

Helios says 'So, you gain sustenance on the stuff and use it because there is a lot more than you need?'

Kyuubey says 'When you put it that way, you make me sound greedy. Everything that I harvest, I put to use. And I take no more than I can use. But in answering of the previous question, it is difficult to tell; the strength of individual emotions are different than the concept of the emotion itself.'

Kyuubey says 'A single person's 'hope' may be weaker than another one's 'despair', depending on how strongly they feel, and so on.'

Nagol putting the final components and the battery into the watch, closes it and screws it back together.

Helios says 'So it depends on the persons psyche at the time, then?'

Kyuubey says 'That is a good way of thinking on it.'

Mogwai says 'I'm glad to hear that. Ulterior motive or not, spreading hope is beneficial to all involved I would guess.'

Mogwai nuzzles up against Finn.

Helios nods thoughtfully. "We suppose."

Nagol presses the button on the watch and disapears for a second before reapearing again.

Helios finally looks over at Nagol and his watch. "What ARE you doing over there?"

Finn is brought out of his mild reverie by a nuzzling Mogwai, and he wraps his arms around her now, leaving her pom-pom alone as he snuggles her gently. "I might have to take you home," he muses.

Mogwai says 'You just might'

Nagol looking over at Helios says, "I'm working on a invisibility watch. It may come in handy someday."

Finn chuckles softly. "All right. It's settled then. You'll be my new Jake. I didn't catch your name, anyway," he hums softly, offering a hand to her a bit. "I'm Finn."

Kyuubey gets to his feet, shaking himself off. "There will always be hope. And despair. And fear. And joy. These things help keep the world spinning, proverbially. And this is what makes it a near-limitless supply of energy." The cat-thing looks between them, indifferently. "It is a broad concept. Some of its aspects are better off left unknown."

Helios says 'We suppose...'

Mogwai sighs happily "Nice to meet you, I'm Mogwai. Who's Jake?"

Finn smiles. "Jake's my brother from back home. I figured he'd show up here with me, but he hasn't in a few weeks now." He snuggles her again. "You're way softer, though. And you don't smell like dog." And that asks a whole lotta questions about Jake that beg to be answered.

Nagol thinking to himself opens the watch again and works on the circuits again.

Mogwai wrinkles her nose at that "Well I was thinking as something other than a replacement sibling. Though... ah, I'm not sure I want to ask."

Finn blinks at her, poking gently at her pom-pom again. "I dunno. Ask away. Can't be that bad, right?" He muses.

Nagol looking through his backpack for something asks Helios, "Do you have any Flux Components I can borrow?

Mogwai smirks up at Finn "You're asking a girl back to your place, what do you think I was assuming?"

Helios says 'Flux? Back in storage onboard the transport we might...'

Finn blinks at her. "I was assuming you'd make a really good pillow."

Nagol says 'I think the Flux Component might make the invisablity last longer.'

Mogwai ponders "How old are you? I get confused with humans."

Helios says 'We would need to check the inventory system, assuming it is still working. '

Finn chuckles softly. "I'm fourteen. How old did you think I was?" He pokes gently at her pom-pom again. Then it seems to hit him, and his eyes go wide. "Oh, glob, you're a girl?"

Helios says 'A lot of the equipment has stopped working...'

Kyuubey looks at Helios for a moment, then back westward, then at Helios again, before speaking. "Helios. Might I beg a favor from you? I normally don't ask of these things due to my undesire to be in debt, but if it could affect the livelihood of my contracts, I will do so."

Helios says 'Sure thing, what do you need?'

Mogwai tsks "Well, this is awkward. Well, if you want to know more about moogle anatomy, let me know in a couple years. And yes, I'm a girl, I didn't think you'd be that intimate with a guy... aaaand I suppose you thought of me more as a pet and that went over your head..."

Nagol looks through his backpack and holds up a Envelope, trying to remember what who it was for.

Finn chuckles warily. "Oh, well, sure." He scritches gently behind her neck. "I was thinking more along the lines of an adventuring buddy, actually." A pause, as he considers her words for a moment. "But you should still come back with me. I'd love to learn more about Moogles!" Oh, lord.

Kyuubey says 'Are you close enough to Rarity that I could leave a message with you to give her? I may need to leave for a short time, and I would prefer that she receives this 'heads-up', so that she does not fall into despair over a silly notion. Which I fear she may be inclined to do, should she fall out of the loop.'

Helios looks westward, confused, as his wireless uplink system makes the connection with the Nakajamur, the freighter that he crashed in the canyons north of Truce some months ago. "We can take a message. What is it?"

Kyuubey says 'I need you to inform her that she will remain without Ambience's presence for an undetermined period of time. Apparently his mother has decided that he has a lot of 'catching up to do' involving his heritage, following his release from the Witch's Kiss. He will likely be remaining with her for some time to come, though she did not divulge how long. Can you inform her of this?'

Mogwai blushes "Well, you can certainly adventure with me, but... well, here's a first lesson. That pom-pom's a sensory organ. It's sensitive to touch. It actually feels nice when lightly touched, but doing that a lot is considered... umm... intimate. I'm sorry, I thought you were older..."

Kyuubey says 'This is only important because the two have grown decidedly close. I would rather not see Rarity turn so easily over an unintentional heartbreak. It has happened all-too often in the past, so if I may avert it somehow, I will try.'

Helios says 'We can do that. Finding her will be the hard part, as she seems to have dissappeared.'

Nagol finds a Tag that must have fallen of the Envelope and says, "Finn, I found this Envelope on the Beach on Lete River it's for you", Nagol hands the Envelope to Finn.

Helios nods. "We would prefer to not have that happen either."

Finn blinks at her. "Intimate? Oh, I see." He pauses for a moment.. then goes right back to poking at it. It seems that he either doesn't understand or he's doing it on purpose. It's hard to tell which. "How old are you, anyway?" He inquires curiously. "Do I need to be older to get you to like me?" He blinks a little at that. The envelope offered to him gets his attention, and he takes it from Nagol. "Hey, thanks. Here's your rag back, by the way." He digs it out, and hands it over. A fair exchange!

Kyuubey looks at Helios blankly. "Disappeared? Why am I not surprised? I still think that contracting with her was a mistake. Oh well, it can't be helped now, I suppose."

Helios says 'We can keep her stable. By force, if necessary.'

Kyuubey says 'Her lackluster performances so far have earned my inherent apprehension about equine contracts, to this end. And it is more difficult than you realize, once the corruption starts in. Much more difficult. I worry for Rarity occasionally, but not in the way you might think.'

Kyuubey says 'I only wish her not to corrupt so soon. That is all; it seems like a waste.'

Sweetie says 'Did I miss something while I was Fasting... '

Lowell quietly steps in from the southern walkway, looking about himself with a visible mix of curiosity and trepidation. He almost seems guilty to be here... that or all the guards are making an impression. Regardless, the youth stops just short of the main goings-on, content to observe from a distance.

Helios says 'Consider her stability our responsibility. We can put her on Ice to stave off many things, and this corruption seems to be something that it can help.'

Mogwai blushes furiously "I'm 25. And it's one part that it's illegal, and one part that you really don't seem to grasp the whole situation. Don't worry, you'll figure it out in a few years." Despite her protests, she's not making much of an effort to stop him

Nagol hands a Envelope to Finn and smiles, "The Envelope is sealed so I have no idea whats inside but it says it's for you."

Sweetie only just came in and was overhearing her sister turned INTO A ICE CUBE

Finn blinks at the envelope. "Thanks. I'll be sure to read it soon here," he offers, before he returns his attention back to Mogwai. "Hm. All right, then, I'll come find you in a few years and you can enlighten me. Besides, I like you. You're cool." More pom-pom poking. It seems he's not really aware that Lowell has entered the square, as he's distracted.

Nagol says 'Oh, Helios when you get that Flux Componet tell me and I'll meet you here at the Fountain'

Helios says 'Right, we can do that. The computer that we need is offline, but repearable. We can have it to you next week.'

Sweetie yells 'Who are you people? what are you Mr cat thing? and what the HAY IN CELESTIA FORSAKEN TARTARUS HAS HAPPENED TO MY SISTER RARITY!'

Kyuubey says 'I don't require physical action on your part, other than the deliverance of my message. In fact, I would prefer that you abstain, if possible. From what I've noticed, her and her kind seem to be quick to rile. If she corrupts, it is her own fault, not yours. I only am attempting to take measures to see that it doesn't happen so soon, nothing more.'

Kyuubey seems to disregard Sweetie and her yelling, still focused on making sure Helios understands what he wants of him. After all, Sweetie's yelling was only cementing his point at this time, anyway.

Mogwai smirks "Keep that up and it'll be sooner..." she says, before getting ahold of herself "Err, I mean... you seem alright, and I can't wait to start adventuring with you." she mutters under her breath afterwards "I am so going to hell. A very special hell."

Helios says 'Nothing, little pony. She is just going through a hard time. And we will keep that in mind, not- cat. They do seem rather quick to emotion. We will find her and let her know your message.'

Finn smiles at her. "Algebraic! We're gonna go on a ton of awesome adventures, I know it," he muses, unaware of poor Mogwai's internal conflict. That's largely because he's still poking and touching at that pom-pom. Its entertainment value seems to know no end. By this point, he peers up, noting the yelling, Lowell's presence, and that things are still being conversed upon. "Hm."

Nagol goes back to working on the watch and pulls out a make-shift Flux Component.

Kyuubey says 'You have my thanks, then. For now, I must depart; other things to do, people to help, contracts to make. It is a neverending process, despite what Rizar seems to have concluded.'

Sweetie telekinetically pulls the weird cat to eye level. "Not 'till you explain things."

Sweetie says 'Who are you? And what do you know about soul gems?'

Mogwai tries to put on her best poker face and pay attention to what's going on.

Kyuubey is forcibly pulled toward Sweetie, but 'eye level' is relative, since he is only a foot or so off the ground from his paws to his ears. He looks blankly at the pony, not saying anything in response, or seeming threatened in the least. He looks... neutral, pretty much.

Helios nods. "Then be off. We will take care of things here." He says as he pulls the smaller pony away from the not- cat with his magnetic field.

Lowell meets Finn's glance for a second, but seems to be more intrigued by the small white... cat? Whatever it is, most of his curious attention is on it.

Finn notes the Moogle's poker face, before he squeezes her again gently. "Anyway, it's getting awfully late. You gonna come back with me or stay out here?" He inquires of the Moogle curiously, nudging that pom-pom again gently.

Helios says 'Us? We are a Mechon. Who are you and how do you know that term?'

Nagol presses the button on the watch and this time he disappears but his footsteps can be heard, he then reappears next to Finn

Kyuubey looks directly at Sweetie. "I don't appreciate your methodology. You could stand to be a bit nicer." His tone is calm, nonthreatening. Though he does sound somewhat annoyed, if only in the barest of sense.

Sweetie says 'I might of overheard the term when Rarity explained that, if it ever broke, it would be the death of her. '

Nagol walks back to his seat on the fountain-side bench and goes back to work on the watch.

Kyuubey says 'That is correct. If her Soul Gem is destroyed, she will perish. This is a simple concept.'

Mogwai appears conflicted before responding "Umm... sure, I'll go with you."

Sweetie says 'And what's the Corruption thing, Are you guys saying that my sister could turn into the next Nightmare Moon?'

Finn grins. "Mathematical! All right, then!" He slowly moves to a stand, not seeming to have much issue with pulling her up with him to a stand. "This way as soon as we wake up, we can go on an adventure!" He waves a bit toward Helios, Nagol and, naturally, Kyuubey. "See ya Helios, Nagol, Cat!" Then, he turns and moves to carry poor Mogwai away. He's stronger than he looks!

Helios stares at the little pony. "Right... Nagol, we will have your components by next week. Meet us here and we will deliver them." Helios nods before uncerimoniously dropping Sweetie in a heap. "Ask them, they would know." He hovers up into the airspace above Truce just in time to get rammed by a blimp.

Helios says 'FFFFUUUUUuuuuu...'

Mogwai lets Finn carry her away. This cannot end well.

Nagol waves to Finn and says, "See ya Finn!" "Don't forget that Envelope!"

Sweetie says 'Uhhh... The sight of that man getting hit by the blimp sorta kinda made me forget what I was going to ask Mr cat.'

Nagol done with the watch for now, starts a new project.

Kyuubey says 'It is just as well, anyway. I don't have time for any further chatter this evening, I must be off. If Rarity is your sister, then keep an eye on her. As long as she remains focused on her duties, she will be fine. I think little of her at this time, but she is improving, somewhat.'

Kyuubey heads off toward the south, his tail rising into the air behind him. "My hope for her is not great, but perhaps she has a chance."
Action forced.

Sweetie says 'what But What about the Corruption? We talking Nightmare or Brothel worker?'

Kyuubey says 'Ask her, if you are able. She will explain it, I would think.'

Kyuubey heads off south, gradually walking on out of sight.

Sweetie yells 'But I can't talk to her about Brothels! I don't even know what a Brothel is!'

Sweetie stomps her feet and throws a tantrum like a baby.

Sweetie mutters about feeling helpless.

Lowell watches Kyuubey as, uh... -it- pads off, even taking a couple steps the same way before catching himself. "...maybe not," he mutters softly, sheepishly backpedaling closer to the fountain.
