Moonlight City, Viorar - Eastern Outskirts
A branching path leads away from the alleyways of eastern Viorar and onto
a side street with only a few humble buildings to decorate them. The area
looks a little poorer compared to the main districts, but there are the
occasional laugh and rumpus of children playing in the cobblestone streets,
even if it is always night time. A thin road between the residences leads
to a slightly-taller, flat-roofed building behind them, sporting a
sweater-shaped sign with a stretched-out scarf waving over the front of it,
almost like an emblem.

Mollianne hangs around the outside of the clothing shop for a moment, apparently attempting to recompose herself. Besides seeming a little distressed at being forced into owning a bathing suit (and possibly the Twins' mannerisms on how they made it happen), a streak of brilliant crimson is now lined across her nose and cheeks, though it is difficult to tell how much of it is general embarassment and how much of it is part of her mentioned "condition".

In her hand, the siren holds a smallish paper sack, holding the contents of her purchase, watching as Lora and the Twins amble on toward the south, likely toward Kyrk's domain. Her wings are a bit ruffled to boot, puffing out somewhat as compared to their normal feathery sheen.

After a few minutes she looks up, noticing that Crossroads had been there the whole time. A little surprised, she had forgotten that it was she who had asked to wait outside, as she had something to ask. Still a little flustered, she nods. "Were you okay with this trip, altogether? It seems like we got off on the wrong foot in the beginning... and I know Kyrk lives in a pretty weird place, compared to a normal house.

Crossroads looks surprised by the question, having not expected this to be what Molly was going to ask her. Then again, she wasn't sure what to expect! She shifts her bag to one had and rubs the back of her neck, "Yeah, I'm okay with it. Despite the awkward start we had its nice to get a little break and I appriciate your kindness in letting us stay a little. I'm a little worried about leaving Truce unattended but if Kyuubey says things are okay there I'm sure its fine." She grins, "As for the house I think I personally prefer the more standard version myself, but if it works for you and Kyrk then there is certainly nothing wrong with it."

Molly fidgets somewhat, but seems at least glad to hear that Crossroads wasn't holding any longstanding grudges. "About Tyrranis, then... was he the reason you were a little, you know... unsure, about getting something like this?" The siren's voice is quiet, much softer than it normally is. It almost has a lilting tone to it.

"Some things are a little easier to see, especially when you seemed embarassed about it despite the fact that we were all girls in there." Mollianne smiles faintly, prodding Crossroads gently with her words.

Crossroads gripped her bag a tightly, suddenly feeling cornered. She really didn't know what to say. "Um..." Should she lie to Molly? More importantly could she lie? With the all to familiar feeling of warmth creeping back into her face she doubted it. Still she didn't know how to respond. She looked down, keeping her voice very low, "Yes, he crossed my mind."

Mollianne shakes her head, looking away from Crossroads and down the road, settling on a few kids playing with a worn-out leather ball. "I cannot express any empathy because we all have our own feelings toward things... and people. But I kind of wondered when you jumped on me as quickly as you did, the night before. You seemed awfully protective of him, and he seems like a big guy. Can probably take care of himself, you know."

"Still..." She trails off, her aquamarine eyes searching. She had her own experiences that she could lay down, but she doubted they helped in this situation, especially considering they had gotten her killed once. But that was another story entirely. "Even as Wishborn, you two take care of each other, right? But there is more to it, at least for you... right, Crossroads?"

Crossroads's eyes widened and she swallowed, "W-What do you mean?" She asked, though already certain she knew what Mollianne was implying but not at all sure she wanted to just come out and admit it. Or not even sure if she should.

After all, it had only been a couple days since Crossroads had seen the vision of her and Tyrranis together. It had left her thinking about him a bit more recently, and about how she felt towards him too. She had liked him a lot before the vision, and maybe was already developing these feelings for him. But she was also worried that the vision might have influenced things. After all, now it seemed obvious even to someone she had only met yesterday that there was... Something.

Mollianne doesn't look at Crossroads. She seems to be trying not to make her any more uncomfortable than she already is by avoiding eye contact, but it can't be certain if it is working or not. "Expression is a lot of it. And I have been down that road before, too. I only bring it up because it is a sad thing to see an opportunity missed, if it can make you happy." She looks up, toward the night sky.

"What I really mean is that often, you should go with your gut. At least, that is what Kyrk always says. If something seems right to you... why not try? There are lots of things you only get one chance at. And if you let it go, you have to live with never knowing what could have been." Mollianne, of course, speaks without knowing that Crossroads COULD, in fact, live with knowing what she's missed, actually. But perhaps that just made it all that stronger a statement. Who would want to live with knowing that they missed a chance to be happy, never being able to grasp that chance again...?

Mollianne grows quiet after a moment, the redness on her face dminishing just a trace. She seems... sad, perhaps as she remembers a piece of her own past related to what she is now trying to relate to this discussion.

Crossroads rubs the arm holding her bag with her free hand. She is too preoccupied with the discussion to notice Mollianne's lack of eyecontact too. "I guess you're right." Hadn't she given the same advice to Ambience once? Still, it was hard not knowing how the other person felt. She had been down this road before herself once before. She knew what missed opportunity felt like.

"Um, Molliane. I don't know if you know this but my wish was to see the future. And just the other night I saw..." Crossroads's blush deepens and her face feels hotter, "Something...related."

It only takes a moment or so for a glistening tear to form in the corner of Mollianne's right eye, though she smiles just a little bit regardless. "I can figure what it likely was. You do not strike me as the kind of person, after your reaction in there with the swimsuits, to be too open about that sort of thing. But rest assured, it is not an uncomfortable topic for me." Her gaze levels, and she glances sidelong at Crossroads.

"Which is part of what my problem is, right now. But still." She shifts her footing, and the bag she carries to her other hand. "Wish or no wish, you need to listen to what your heart tells you, not your brain. Kyrk would say the complete opposite, but only because of his own wish. In this case, your heart is your best friend. It will not let you down, Crossroads."

"But beyond that, or my advice, or anything else... it has to be your decision, not anyone else. You should do what you want... because that is what living is really all about. Right?"

"Yeah. Still, its pretty hard though." Crossroads says slowly turning her head back to Mollianne, nodding. "Thank you Molly." Her expression then turns to worry as she sees Mollianne's face, "Are you okay? You look like you are about to cry."

Mollianne laughs, a short little peal of a giggle, before shaking her head. "I am not in any danger. But yes, some memories come back to bite you in the tailfeathers from time to time. Still, those things are what keep us humane, I would like to think; we can go back and remember them, to forge a better future for ourselves by remembering what did and did not work."

In so speaking, the tear falls from her cheek where it had rolled down, thought it is not followed by another. She sniffs, wiping the side of her face with the back of her free hand. "Sorry... I just... well." She hesitates, but only for a moment. After all, she had getting her to come out, at least a little bit. Wasn't it only fair?

Mollianne sighs, but nods, lowering her voice a smidge. "Heat. I am.. in heat." She looks away, her feathered wings ruffling somewhat from the notion.

"Its okay." Crossroads said, trying to reassure her that it was alright. She really hadn't meant to stir up old memories. Just as she is about to reach out and offer a hug to the small woman, though, she pauses, her worried expression changing to that of confusion as she tried to make sense of Mollianne's words. "Heat?"

Mollianne frowns softly, looking back up at Crossroads admist her confusion. Her wings ruffle further, not having expected need an explanation of her... problem. Her eyes focus in and out for a moment or three, before she looks up towards Crossroads' face. "Uhm... well, you know that some animals have a certain... time, around the year, that they are supposed to mate? And they get a carnal urge that pretty much takes over, during that time. I think... that is the best way to explain it. I mean..." She hesitates, everting her eyes. "Lots of people do not realize that I am at least as much an animal as I am a person. My biology is... different, as a result. For a couple days, at the end of the warmer months, I go into heat... but it gets taken care of. So nobody is in any danger, or anything..."

Crossroads simply stares, unsure of the best way to respond to all of this. She knew about animals being in heat but she really hadn't expected someone to actually tell her they were in heat. It had seemed like such an odd thing to say. "Oh." Is the best reaction she can put forth for a moment. "Well, Then we should hurry back then so it can get taken care of, right?"

Mollianne freezes for a moment, unsure of whether or not Crossroads was implying knowing something despite her not having said anything. She lets it go, though, instead offering a stiff nod. "Y-yes, probably a good idea. Besides, the others will start wondering what happened to is, anyway." The redness on her face was a bit more pronounced however, and she takes the initiative to hurry on down the road, holding her back tightly. A couple of white feathers, possibly too rustled in her state to remain embedded in her wings, flutter lightly to the ground in her wake.

Crossroads clutches her bag in her arms and follows after.

[-----MEANWHILE...----]

Monstro Town - Kyrk's Domicile: Den
Despite being windowless and a bit claustrophobic, this living room is
actually very nice. A sofa and loveseat are set angled to each other in one
corner, and lighting similar to the previous hallway's is installed at
varying spots within the ceiling. A small table sits between the two pieces
of furniture, with a pictureframe set upright upon its flat surface. A door
is stationed along the northern wall, and an open entryway leads south into
what appears to be a small kitchenette.

At this time, Kyrk is apparently busy fixing some sort of gadget in the den, of which is normally attached to the wall, but is now in more than a couple pieces as he tries to figure out its mechanical innards. He seems a little perplexed as he messes with it, but continues to do so diligently, apparently paying no mind to whoever else is there at the time.

Tyrranis is still positioned on the sofa in the den, waiting for the girls to re-arrive. However, at some point sleep seems to have taken him, and the giganto's chin is resting on his chest, slowly rising and falling as he breaths in silent sleep.

With a gentle whir of moving glass through open space, a large object can be heard settling from the eastern hallway, and after only a couple of minutes following, a troupe of ladies all file in; most of them, anyway. It would appear that either the Twins were shooed off earlier, or elected to return to their abode of their own devices. Either they, their presences are absent at this time.

Mollianne scratches her taloned feet off on the welcoming rug before actually entering the den, smiling faintly but looking severely red in the face. She carries a shopping bag with her, and her wings are somewhat puffed out and ruffled. All in all, she kind of looks glad to be home.

Lorastine steps out of the elevator in a lighter mood to finally be back 'home'. With her shopping bag on her arm she happily waltz into the room.

Crossroads follows Mollianne and Lorastine inside, bag tightly clutched in her arms. "That was quite a walk back." She says, only then noticing that Tyrranis was sleeping on the couch nearby. She quickly covers her mouth and lowers her voice to just above a whisper, hoping that she didn't wake him. "Oh! Oops."

Kyrk looks up from his tinkering at that time, starting to mention an acknowledgment to them upon their return, but he seems to note Mollianne's facial state, and instead he leaves his gizmo (and its parts) on the table, walking over to be in the same vicinity as them. "Did you all enjoy yourself? Viorar is a bigger city than most outsiders initially assume."

Kyrk seems to make no consideration for Tyrranis sleeping nearby, but then, his voice isn't exactly a loud one to begin with.

Also of note (perhaps, anyway), Kyuubey is apparently nowhere to be seen. Probably off making more friends.

Tyrranis does not seem disturbed by the arrival of the girls again, or by the voices of anyone at all. Instead he remains asleep.

Mollianne looks up at Kyrk and the acknowledging, and maybe it was a trick of the light, but the crimson patch on her face may have just expanded somewhat. Nevertheless, she sets her bag down and offers an open smile. "I think we did. It got later than we intended, but it is always difficult to tell the time when it is always night outside."

Mollianne looks between Cross and Lora, her expression a little out of it, but otherwise pleasant and hopeful that they, too, enjoyed themselves.

Lorastine smiles at Kyrk's greeting and nods. "It was a lot of fun. I never expect there to be so much." She replied, before noticing Tyrranis. She was going to say hi to him, but his sleeping state made it feel like he was a sleeping bear then a man. She smiles over at Molliana before noticing her condition. She was curious, but didn't want to come off as rude since it seemed to be getting worse then before.

Crossroads nods and brushes one side of her hair back behind her ears, looking up from where Tyrranis is sleeping to Kyrk, to Lora, then to Mollianne. A small blush creeping across her face as she remembered part of the conversation she had with her earlier,"I should... probably grab him a blanket." She said nervously, though keeping her voice low.

Kyrk nods in affirmation to Crossroads, taking the initiative. "Of course. Allow me." Kyrk strides between them, giving Molly a knowing look as he ducks into the bedroom right quick, returning with a decent-sized comforter. He hands it to Crossroads to do what she will with it, before standing off to one side, but relatively close to Mollianne as he does. "Tyrranis is a man of strong conviction, I must say. Even I could stand to learn a few things from him." Kyrk's tone seems almost... humbled? It was hard to tell, really. Mollianne only smiles to herself, hearing this. "I think I am going to retire for the day, myself. I am feeling like a nap sounds like a good idea, at the very least."

Tyrranis snoozes rather gently.

Lorastine looks over at Molliana and nods, "Good night then." she said happily before stretching. It had been a rather busy day for her, not used to so much running around in an everlasting night. A bath sounded perfect right now to relax her muscles before bed.

Crossroads looks surprised as Kyrk returns and offers her a blanket. For a moment, she stares at him curiously but then sets her bag down on the floor and takes the comforter from, "Thanks" She says to him quickly, before unfolding the blanket and turning towards Tyrranis. She carefully drapes the blanket over him. "If it isn't a problem, would it be okay if I take a bath?" She says, looking up at Mollianne and Kyrk with a small smile, "It would probably feel nice on my feet after all that walking."

Kyrk nods in confirmation. "The three of you are welcome to whatever you'd like, as long as you are here. We try to treat what few guests we normally receive with as much consideration as we would each other. So yes, if you plan on staying one more evening, then by all means." He gestures broadly. "But in the same light, I am going to put Molly to bed, and likely take my leave, as well."

Kyrk glances sidelong at Tyrranis, then nods at Crossroads at Lorastine. "Good evening to you, and have a good rest." With that, he turns and heads into the bedroom, leading Mollianne by the hand. Mollianne herself seems a little nervous, but looks behind her before she disappears into the bedroom, offering a faint little smile. "Thank you, guys. I will see you in the morning."

Tyrranis shifts as the comforter is laid over him, and mumbles lightly before snoozing again.

Lorastine smiles as Molliana leaves and looks over at Tyrranis for a second as he makes noise. She looked over at Cross remembering her mention something about taking a bath too. "Want to go take a bath together?" she askes curiously, not really bothered by female company it since her encounter there with Molly.

Crossroads considers this for a moment, she had actually wanted to take one by herself as the events of the day, although fun, had left her a little drained and in in want for some quiet time. "Why don't you go on in ahead of me. I'll join you in a little bit." She said with a small smile. That way she thought at least she could get bathe alone for a little bit after Lora finished.

Lorastine nods quickly and heads towards the baths. She has been waiting all day to just have time to relax in the warm waters.

Crossroads stands up, walks across the room to collect her bag. She pauses for a moment before exiting the room though, smiling down at Tyr before flipping off the light switch.
