Moonlight City, Viorar - Cafe: The Red Dwarf [Room 527]
A quaint little eatery if ever there was one, the interior of this diner
boasts a polished wooden design on all scales, from the walls and floor to
the seating arrangement itself. Barstools line the front desk and several
booths hug the wall under a selection of glass windows, with entrance/exit
doors situated at both ends of the building. Cylindrical light fixtures
dangle on short chains from the ceiling, providing light to the
establishment.

Molly and the Twins lead on through the streets of Viorar, occasionally chattering back and forth between one another. Molly seems a little red in the cheeks through most of the discourse, but judging by the nonchalance going on between them, it seems possible that this is normal. Eventually, a small cafe appears before them, and the three stop in front of it.

Mollianne squints somewhat, looking up toward the eternally-lit sign, being how Viorar normally is. The darkness requires everything to be this way. "I never get tired of this place, you know."

Rae Beth smirks, giving Molly a small nudge in the arm. "'Cause it's the only place they got that will ungrudgingly serve what you like! You remember that one time, riiiiight?"

Crossroads once again remained mosly quiet during the walk, listening to the twins chatter as well as taking in the sights. It seemed as though it had been forever since she was last here. When they reach the Cafe she looks at the sign then raises an eyebrow at Mollianne, curious as to what Rae Beth meant by them unbegrudgingly serving Mollianne what she liked, "Oh? Do you have a certain food preference?"

Lorastine looks at the cafe with curiousity. She wonders what a place called the Red Dwarf would even serve. Prehaps a popular choice was the alcohol, which she would avoid no matter how tempting it looked. She perked up at the girls' conversation and looked to Molly with a curious glance. "What happened?"she askes Rae Beth since she knew.

Mollianne scratches her head lightly, turning to look between Crossroads and Lorastine. "Just... well. Not a lot of people eat food raw, you know? But you get to know people better, and they don't judge as easily after that." Molly seems a little flustered, possibly from the story in question, and simply heads through the front entrance, an odd look on her face.

May Ann simply grins, giving Rae Beth a knowing look as she hurries inside behind Molly. Rae nods, smiling openly. "Fish. Apparently it was the only thing she ate for years, growing up with her clan. I guess it makes sense, given that she lived on a rock in the middle of an ocean for almost 10 years."

Helios opens the sack and pulls out a medium- sized titanium ingot and begins examining it, looking for imperfections. "Well, thank you fot the effort. This should restore enough of our armor plates to provide a better defence. It is not quite the standard material that we would prefer, but it will suffice." Helios stands up and places the ingot on the ground in front of him. Helios dissolves the disguise and moves the cloud into position over the ingot as his lens begins to glow an angry red

"I don't see how it is a problem as long as you are still a paying customer." Crossroads shrugs following Molly and thinking for a moment what eating raw fish would be like. In the end she descided it probably wasn't for her, "I like fish too...uh, just not raw." Tyrranis had actually been responsible for making it one of her favorite foods.

Growing up in the farmlands outside of Hyrule, Lorastine never really had much experiance with raw fish. She didn't even know how to prepare it, so her only image of raw fish was the fish itself right out of the water. "Do you eat them with the scales and everything?" Lorastine asks getting the mental image of Molliana chopping into the side of a fresh fish as it wriggled for freedom.

Rae Beth nods to Lorastine, still smiling as she hurries inside, too. "Pretty much, yup! But hey, when ya like something, it doesn't matter too much, right?"

Inside, Molly and May help themselves to a window seat with only a small, individual wave to a few people behind the counter on the other wise. The tables were set wide enough to accommodate a good amount of people, so four at once table was fine. Molly, overhearing some of the conversation behind her, merely shrugs. "I eat lots of normal things, too. But culture affects people alot, sometimes. Though, I cannot eat sweet things. They really hurt my teeth, though I never figured out why."

May Ann slides into a seat next to Molly, her smile matching her sister's. "Things are rarely boring with Molls around. How many people are friends with someone who spent a decade living in an ocean?"

Crossroads follows the twins and Molly to the booth and slides in to one of the seats, looking around at the cafe. She had never been inside this one though had passed by it a few times, but based on the friendly wave between Molly and the staff she could probably assume that they came here often.

Lorastine sits down with the rest and nods. She had almost forgotten that Molliana had lived in the sea so eating fish was more normal for Molliana then herself. "I suppose I'll have to try it before I can judge it." she replies looking at the menu. Her stomach was near empty so getting anything in her sounded like a good idea.

Mollianne doesn't even bother to grab a menu, but smiles nevertheless as a tall man comes from around the counter, carrying several four glasses of preliminary water with him. "Like I said, it's a culture thing more than much else. You know, I am as much a bird as I am a human." She seems like she wanted to add more to that statement, but stops and thanks the man as she takes a glass of water, setting it down nearby.

Rae Beth takes one as well, but May Ann does not; this scenario has apparently not only this one time. Rae takes a drink as May Ann nods, gesturing. "Outside of being Wishborn, we all try to just have normal lives, y'know? Shopping, playing, working... just 'cause you're beating up bad guys doesn't mean you have to be a masked superhero about it."

"Yeah, and apparently when you're not one, it makes you a celebrity!" Rae beth gives Molly a wink, setting her water down and adjusting the shoulder of her gi offhandedly.

"Yeah, Its good not to get too wrapped up in it and forget to live life normally. Sometimes its hard though." Crossroads looked at Molly, tilting her head to the side a little wondering what the wink was for. Then she glances over the menu, stomach growling as she thought about each potential choice. She really didn't know what to pick as everything right now sounded good to her. "Any recommendations?"

Lorastine nods agreeing with what everyone was saying. No need to repeat them as she looked over the menu. She wasn't sure what she should get, but best to stick with something she knew. "I think I'll stick with the steak."

Despite the potential that these musings were between the lot of them and not intended for him, the man still takes out a writing pad and pen, beginning to scribble down what's being said. He smiles as he does, casting that same smile at Molly, who nods knowingly at him in return, then at Crossroads. "We specialize in sandwiches for the most part, miss. If there's anything you can think of that goes well between two slices of bread, then it is likely we can whip it up for you. Otherwise, we serve breakfast and soups fairly regularly, too."

Rae Beth glances over her own menu fervently for a moment, before slapping it down a bit abruptly, grinning from ear to ear. "Breakfast sounds good! How about some... eggs, and bacon... and sausage. Oh, and a couple pieces of french toast, and maybe a few pancakes, too!" She pauses, thinking it over for a moment. "Yeah, I think that's good."

May Ann starts to look at her menu, but folds it over as her sister belts forth an order, raising an eyebrow as it pours out. She merely sighs, and nods to him. "That sounds good, too. Without the french toast and pancakes, though, please."

Crossroads smiles at the waiter and folds her menu, "You know, some soup and a sandwich sounds absolutely perfect right now. Can I get potato soup with a grilled cheese?"

The man scribbles some more notes down, and clears his throat briefly. "Okay, making sure I got all that. One steak entree, a grilled cheese sandwich with potato soup side, and two breakfast entrees, one with added pancakes and french toast. And the usual for the Diva. Did I get that right?"

Lorastine nods and hands the menu to the waitress still feeling a little silly ordering the biggest thing out of the group. She picks up her glass of water and takes a sip of it and smiles. "This is nice. I hope Tyrranis and Kyrk are having a nice time together like we are."

The waiter smiles in affirmation, taking up the menues and proceeding toward the kitchen with the orders in hand. Mollianne seems thoughtful for a moment, glancing toward the door. "I am sure they cannot be getting into too much trouble. Though I remember Kyrk having something he wanted to talk to your friend about. Maybe they might even find something else to do in the meantime, like us."

Rae Beth beams. "If nothin' else, ol' Kyrk could be helping to train him up! Sure did a lot for us, under the same circumstances, and look how we turned out. Keeps ya fit and trim, if nothing else."

May Ann considers this for a moment, sparing a glance at Molly when she isn't looking her way, then at her sister with a wry smile. "Maybe a little too 'trim'. How're we supposed to get a boyfriend if we don't got nothin' to offer, anyway?"

Mollianne merely rolls her eyes, but doesn't say anything.

Crossroads nods, though she is not sure how much training would Tyrranis need from Kyrk. "Well, hopefully you are right and they found something to do. I would feel bad if we were out having all the fun." She gives a light smile, taking a sip of her water as well. "Tyrranis seems to be better at coping with things than we are. He doesn't seem to corrupt that much but...Still I think he needs some good normal things outside of fighting witches just like us"

Lorastine nods and points at Crossroads with her hand still clutched to the glass. "Exactly, he needs to relax and not be so focused on fighting." she replies before taking another long sip and putting her glass down. Turning to the twins, Lorastine smiles, "Being in shape is important if your fighting witches or just going out your daily life."

The Twins look at each other for a moment following Lora's remark, attempting to discern it for hidden meaning, perhaps. Almost in unison, both Rae Beth and May Ann puff out their cheeks in a sarcastic gesture of dismay.

Mollianne pipes up, looking up from her water glass where her attention's been this whole time following the waiter's departure. "You guys could stand to think of something besides breast size, you know. I am sure there are plenty of good guys out there who would be glad to be seen with a pair of screeching washboards." She takes a long drink from her water, but the side of her lip curls as she fails to keep from grinning.

Lorastine gave a little uneasy laugh as her failed attempt of encouragement crash.

Crossroads covers her mouth and tries to hold back a giggle, "Besides, you two are still fairly young. Give it time, you two are still growing girls." It was the best she could assure them. They still both seemed pretty young.

Lorastine looks between everyone and laughes. "Cross is right you still have time to grow and everything. Lets leave it at that."she says not really wanting to stay on this incredibly awkward topic for her. Especially when they are in a pubic place.

"That's what they always say. Urgh." May Ann folds her arms in a mock-pout, curling her lower lip upward in emphasis. Rae Beth just smirks it off, nodding. "Yeah, though we do get that alot. 'Sides, Molls has enough for all of us!" She grins slyly, as if she were the most clever piece of work in the world.

Mollianne facepalms, but before she can say anything else, the waiter comes 'round. On two separate, well-balanced trays, her carries a huge breakfast portion of food, a smaller equivalent, a strip streak with a side of mashed potatoes, and a soup-sandwich combo. He sets them all down at their respective places, and hurries back into the kitchen, calling over his shoulder. "I'll be right back, dear, only had enough hands for so much in one trip!" His tone is informal, but apparently (to the three of them, at least) not unwelcome. A moment or so passes further, and the waiter comes back in again, holding a small but wide plate with what appears to be a freshly-caught bass laid in the middle, with a garnish of parsley and a small cup of something golden, perhaps a garlic/lemon juice of some kind. With all meals in place, he offers a short bow. "Anything else I can get for anyone?"

"I think I am good. Thank you!" Crossroads says with a smile, taking her spoon and ready to dig in. She supposed she could have asked for something other than water to drink, maybe an iced tea, but then again since Mollianne was insistant on paying for their meal she didn't think it would be polite to add to the order any more than she already was.

Rae Beth and May Ann didn't hesitate to jump right in, themselves. One would think they'd never seen food before!

Mollianne, herself, seems pleased with what she's received, and simply picks up the large fish, scales and all, and takes a fairly large bite out of the side. Her small fangs create an odd bite mark as a result, not to mention that fact that she's eating something that looks like it was only caught ten minutes ago. She doesn't seem to mind, though, happy as can be with her meal.

May Ann casts a short glance toward Rae Beth stuffing herself, but predominantly at the size of her meal, before returning her eyes to her own plate, with a smirk.

Crossroads took a spoonfull of her soup and held it up close to her mouth, blowing on it lightly before giving it a taste. "Not too bad."

Lorastine cuts a piece of her steak and pops it into her mouth. "Mmm this is so good~." She said savoring the flavor. "I'm so happy I got this."

The Twins devour their breakfast with little concern for anyone or anything else; remarkable, in a way, since its the first time they've stopped raising comparisons between theirs and Mollianne's chest all morning. Nevertheless, they eat with an appetite worthy of their youth, though their manners couple use a little work; the occasional chewing with an open mouth, elbows on the table, etc.

Mollianne, on the other hand, is eating rather elegantly, despite the bizarre food of choice. A few scales flake off and land on the plate as she eats, and she doesn't even seem to be minding the bones; everything that makes up the bass is being swallowed, though a faint redness seems to creep into her cheeks as she eats. Like the Twins, though, she doesn't pay much mind to anyone or anything else, flattening her wings against the back of the seat to provide more room for her body.

Crossroads continues to eat in silence occasionally stopping in the middle of her soup and ripping off a little bit of her grilled cheese. Like everyone else, she was too busy with her own food to strike up much in the way of conversation.

Lorastine was quickly slicing up her suculant steak rather quickly since the meat was cooked to perfection. She ate politely not to make herself look sloppy. Her pointed ears were perked upward as she ate, displaying her mood of happiness. The eating habits of the twins were a little obnoxious and Molliana's fish meal was a bit bizzare for her to watch.

After a short time, only the head and a skimpy fishtail remains on Mollianne's plate. Her cheeks still bear a short tinge of crimson in them, and she pokes her teeth briefly, glancing over her shoulder. "Pardon me a second, I am going to use the restroom. I will be right back." She slides out of her chair at that, smiling faintly at the others before skittering off toward the back end of the cafe.

May Ann and Rae Beth finish in kind soon after; Rae looks behind her towards where Molly went, and turns back around, shifting somewhat. "I'm going to go, too. I'll hurry back!" She excuses herself thusly, hurrying down the cafe's single aisle after where Molly went. To this, May Ann smiles, pushing her plate away. "Crossroads, right? Didn't you say you've been in Viorar before?"

Crossroads catches sight of the red in Molliannes cheeks and blinks as she leaves the table. She is about to ask if she is going to be alright when May Ann asked her a question. "Oh!...Yes. I lived here for about three and a half years."

"Three years?" Lorastine asks a little surprised, "I didn't you've been here that long." When she thinks back to it, she hasn't really been in the left all that long despite all thats she's experianced.

May Ann nods, smiling her girlish little grin. "So you've been here for awhile, then! That's interesting to know. Kyrk and the two of us all came from the same place. Or, sorta, anyway. The same planet? Anyway. My sister and I are from Europe, and Kyrk's from North America. Not that any of it really matters now. But hey, origin stories are cool, if they're all different."

She looks over her shoulder for a moment, then back at Lora and Cross. "She'll be fine, by the way. I wouldn't worry about it."

Crossroads nods, supposing that she had to take May Ann's word for it. She was curious as to what the twins and Kyrk's home-world was like, but had decided not to ask since it might lead to conversation reguarding her own. Instead she simply said, "That had to have been pretty fortunate. I don't think it is very often that you get people from the same world, even if they are from different places in it, right?

Lorastine blinks for a moment thinking this through. "Whats an America and a Europe? Are they kingdoms?" she asks with curiousity before hearing Crossroads' comment. "I've seen a few of my kind around I guess they are from my world. Sorry I don't mean to sound offensive."

May Ann thinks for a moment, her childish demeanor apparently diminished enough for the time being for her to act like a mature semi-adult. "Well, sorta. They're countries, actually, but I guess that's kinda like kingdoms. 'Cept instead of kings, we got presidents, and prime ministers, and such. Though England still practices a Monarchic style, if I remember. Otherwise no, we dropped the whole "Kings and Queens" ruling the world thing about 200-300 years or so ago.

Crossroads had known of a few other countrie in her world though she had never seen them or known much about them other than stories brought back by her people. One she knew of as a monarchy while the others she really wasn't too sure of... "So how did you guys end up here?" Crossroads asked rather quickly, trying to shake off any thoughts she was having about her old world. As far as she was concerned now, this world was her own.

May Ann raises her eyes as Molly and Rae Beth both come out from the back of the cafe, and promptly head to the register area. Molly seemed to be taking it upon herself to take care of the bill before coming back to the table, and though difficult to determine, Rae doesn't seem to have quite as goofy an expression on her face as she did just a little while ago. Could just be too close of an observation, though.

At the moment, though, May Ann continues. "Kyrk followed a Witch here. I think it was the same one he's been trying to hunt down for years. He really has a vendetta against this one, from what I know. But when someone kills your family, it kinda makes sense, right? We didn't follow any Witches, but Kyuubey led us here, himself. He promised a better life than what we had, and so far, he's been tellin' the truth. Definitely ain't too bad here."

"Sure, there's always the Witches and Yoma runnin' around, but it's a far cry better than what we had it back in Europe. What family we had never really... counted. The two of us are all we've ever really had."

Lorastine listens to May Ann's story patiently and almost awestruck. However one thing struck her as odd. Did Kyuubey come from the Cleft or did he come from May Ann's world? There were no witches or yoma back in Lorastine's world, sure there were sorceries and magic, but nothing like this. "Do you miss your old world?"

Crossroads didn't want to interupt May Ann's story, but when Mollianne came back she couldn't help but ask in a low quiet tone, "Are you alright? What happened?"

May Ann shakes her head vehemently. "Not in the least. We had nothing there, and nothing going for us. As soon as we found out we could leave, we were all for it. We had terrible parents, no friends, no outside family. It's always been the two of us against the world, more or less."

Mollianne nods, smiling as she returns from the bathroom and paying their bill. "I am fine, just had to use the little birdy's room." She grins with a small fang present from her joke. "And I had to get some of the stuff out of my teeth, it was kinda gross." The redness in her cheeks is still barely noticeable, but considerably suppressed from earlier.

Rae Beth comes up from behind, hugging Mollianne around the neck, a big grin bursting onto her face. "So hey, yeah! We ready to get goin', or what? We still got other places we gotta check out, yet!"

Lorastine nods and smiles, happy to hear that Mollianne was ok. "Thanks for the meal." she mentions as she takes a final sip of her remaining Iced Tea.

"Your face seemed a little red, so I was wondering."Crossroads said to Molly before standing up, "And yes, thank you for the meal. It was quite good."

Mollianne still smiles, nodding. "You're welcome. Even if we had not gotten off on the wrong foot, I still like to do these things for friends now and again. Besides, as a host, I need to make a good impression. But yes, let's get going for now. We can decide where to go nect."

"Yeah! We should go to the beach sometime, too! Maybe we can go shopping for a new suit later!" Rae Beth all-but launches herself off of Molly's neck as she breaks for the door, short skirt fluttering all about her waist as she does.

May Ann gets up as well, and smiles between Lora and Cross, moving between them to go with Mollianne out the door, lowering her voice somewhat and exchanging a few, perhaps concerned, words with her along the way.

Lorastine tilts her head slightly as she watches the girls leave the cafe. May Ann's behavior was a little suspicious, however Lorastine's ears couldn't pick up what she was saying due to the natural noise of the cafe. She turns to Crossroads and nods with a friendly smile before following in pursit of the others.
