[-----LOG TAKEN FROM CROSSROADS' PERSPECTIVE-----]

[-----Somewhere in Rabite Forest...-----]

Wildlife chirps and shuffles out of the way as Tyrranis brushes
through the small brush on his way out to the training grounds he,
Crossroads, and Lorastine usually used. In one hand he held a large
bow, bound in iron, and in the other quiver of large broad head
arrows.

Crossroads followed behind Tyrranis also carrying with her bow. She
was happy to be having another training session from him as she still
didn't think she was of any use when it came to fighting. Sure she
could hit a target (so long as it wasn't moving), and thanks to her
powers she could already dodge most attacks, but it didn't seem like
enough.

Tyrranis looks around for a moment, before setting his quiver down and
leaning his bow against a tree. He nods and looks to Crossroads.
"Alright. Today we will work on your ability to hit targets.
Specifically, moving targets. Being able to his stationary foes is
acceptable when they do not know you are there, but our foes are
rarely in that situation."

Tyrranis pulls a Frisbee out of his quiver, and shows it to
Crossroads. "I will start off throwing these, and you shoot them. We
will move on from there."

The Frisbee was normal in size, so it would be smaller than the
targets she was familiar with. "Alright." Crossroads said with a nod
before pulling an arrow from her quiver and nocking it. "Ready as I'll
ever be then."

Tyrranis nods, and pulls the Frisbee back and throws it underhand. The
Frisbee flies perpendicular to the ground in a pretty simple arc,
almost begging to be shot with an arrow.

Seeing the Frisbee fly, Crossroads quickly drew, taking a little
longer to release the arrow at the target this time as she tried to
adjust her aim to its current position. When she did finally fire the
target was not far from the ground and the shot was a little high. She
chewed lightly on her lip, wondering what would work better next time.

Tyrranis scratches his chin, and picks the Frisbee back up. "Close.
Try to get it a little faster this time, and do not aim for where the
target is. Lead it. Watch where it will be."

Tyrranis pulls back the Frisbee and throws it again, arcing it JUST a
bit higher than last time.

" Where it will be." Crossroads repeats under her breath, barely
having time to ready another arrow before Tyrranis sends the Frisbee
airborn again. Taking Tyrranis's advice, her aim follows it for a
moment then pulls ahead of it a little. Feeling a little more sure
this time, she fires and the arrow hits the edge of the Frisbee with a
‘thunk’. She smiled. It definitely wasn't the best of shots but at
least this time her arrow hit something.

Tyrranis nods. "Good." He reaches down, pulls the arrow out of the
frisbee, and shows it to Crossroads. "Usually when you fight things,
they will move in erratic fashions to make it harder to hit them. This
poses little threat to you however, considering you can simply read
the future to see where they will move. Still, it is good to be able
to hit moving targets without use of your powers. We will do it
again." He readies the frisbee and throws it again.

Crossroads is about to say something but ends up quickly forgetting
what it is before Tyr sends the Frisbee up into the air again. This
time he gave her absolutely no time to prepare for it, and she fumbled
to quickly pull an arrow from her quiver and fire at it. She managed
to get a shot in, and a good one, but only a foot or so before it hit
the ground. Not wanting to be caught off guard a again like that,
Crossroads wasted no time preparing another arrow.

"Good. Keep yourself ready. There is no reason to not be ready to
attack your foe in battle, be it someone you have shot already or a
child." Tyrranis pulls out another frisbee this time, and shows it to
you. "We shall try something more difficult this time. I will throw
the frisbee normally." He pulls back, and flings the frisbee down the
trail.

Crossroads thought she didn't really need something harder at the
moment, she didn't even think she had gotten the hang of his first
exercise yet, so she felt a bit of worry when he mentioned doing
something more difficult. Still she took aim at the escaping target,
releasing her arrow a brief moment later. Much to her disappointment
it missed by a few inches, and there was a small cloud of dust kicked
up where her arrow had landed in the dirt a moment later.

Tyrranis shrugs simply. "A miss was to be expected from that shot. It
was a hard one, though you managed to get close. This is a good thing.
Remember that at range, your arrows are subject to gravity. Aim
slightly higher than the target and you will hit it with greater
accuracy. Understand?"

She draws another arrow, just in case Tyrranis decided to try to catch
her off guard again. "I got it." Crossroads looks down the path and
waits for him to throw again.

Tyrranis pulls out his last frisbee, and waits several seconds first,
to build tension. Then, he rears back, and throws the frisbee
downrange, and jumps in front of Crossroads! "There's now a target
between you and your mark! Correct for it!"

Crossroads had just started to draw when Tyrranis jumped infront of
her. She swung the bow to one side and relaxed her arm, looking at him
with a horrified expression as he spoke and for a moment she stood
there caught between listening to him and yelling at him. She then
took hold of her arrow, turned it in her hand, then thwapped Tyrranis
with the end that had the fletching.

You say ' Correct it? How about I correct you!? What would have
happened if I accidentally shot you?! You idiot! I understand what you
are trying to teach but there had to have been a safer way to go about
it! You should know better than to jump into the line of fire like
that!'

Tyrranis blinks slowly at Crossroads. "I thought better than to think
you would shoot me. You pay too much attention for things like that to
happen. And as for safer ways to perform the lesson, I would have had
to bring some kind of large object to block you with. That would ruin
the idea of it being a surprise." Tyrranis turns, and starts walking
down the path to collect his frisbees.

Crossroads clenches her fists and tries to calm herself down. "Then
prepare the area ahead of time or something." She shook her head,
trying to keep her voice calm. "I don't care how well you think I pay
attention, that was a risk. There was still a chance that could have
ended badly."

Tyrranis returns, and stows the frisbees in the quiver before picking
up his bow. He spends a moment stringing it, and then hefts the bow,
nocking an arrow and firing it into a tree nearby. "The secret was the
positioning of my body. I was too close to you to let the arrow be
loosed fully, and the tip was pointed to my sternum." He pulls more
arrows, and begins sighting and loosing them to different trees. "I
would have had a new scar, but it would not have been the first time I
was shot."

Tyrranis pauses for a moment, and looks back to Crossroads. "Thank you
for the concern however."

A new scar may have seemed like nothing to him but it definitely would
have been something for Crossroads. How did he think she would feel if
she had been responsible for hurting him? She would have had to live
with that scar being there knowing that it had been her fault! She
looks away for a moment, letting Tyr do whatever he was doing while
she tried to settle her frayed nerves.

Tyrranis frowns, and continues firing somewhat aimlessly at trees. It
had been a while since he had taken a bow to practice with, and his
own aiming was becoming a bit sloppy. Still, ranged weapons are not
his preferred style of combat anyways. He finishes off shooting his
quiver, and nods, unstringing the bow and leaning it against a tree
again before turning to Crossroads. "Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I am. Just a little shaken up is all." Crossroads says slowly.
She was already starting to relax again, and despite his confidence in
her she had still felt as though that was far too close a call. "Don't
do something like that again." She smiled a little at him, "I might
decide to hit you with the bow rather than the end of the arrow next
time."

Tyrranis smirks, and shakes his head. "That would be an ineffective
attack. Do you want to call training to a close today?"

"Yeah, I suppose it would be." Crossroads laughs and then thinks for a
moment. "Do you think you could throw those Frisbees a few more times
for me?"

Tyrranis holds up the Frisbees, and nods. "Just the simple arc again?
Or the long throw? It would be better to practice on the second one,
but sometimes it is necessary to fall back on the basics."

You say ' Arc for now, at least until I can manage to get a few good shots.'
