[-----MABE VILLAGE-----]

Tyrranis opens his eyes slowly as he wakes up, and the giganto sighs
deeply as he stands up. He has gotten lodging for Crossroads and
himself in this home last night, after she felt too tired to continue
walking. He had neglected to take a bed though, out of habit. A quick
check over his weapons, to make sure they're all there, and he settles
down to wait for the rest of his body to wake up.

Hearing Tyrranis up and moving about, Crossroads rolled over in the
bed she was curled up in and opened an eye part way, "Is it time to
get up already?" Her body still felt tired but she was sure she could
travel now.

Tyrranis turns his head, and nods. "You can. It would be best to exit
our benefactor's home as soon as possible, to avoid inconvenience."

"Alright." Crossroads nods and sits up yawning. It was nice that they
had been able to find a place to sleep here for the night, though she
felt kind of bad that they had to stop in the first place. Yesterdays
events seemed to have taken more out of her than she had initially
realized. She turns her head and watches Tyrranis for a moment, "I'm
sorry we had to stop."

Tyrranis rolls his neck, and collects his gear. "It is not a problem.
I had hoped clearing your gem would help your physical condition, but
it appears you were more than just mentally exhausted. These things
happen."
You must include your name in an smote.

She pulled her legs up and wrapped her arms around them. "I am
surprised it got as dark as it had. It was completely clear of
corruption before I ended up at the monastery." The mention of her
soul gem reminded Crossroads of something, "Hey, Tyr? Can I see your
soul gem?"

Tyrranis raises an eyebrow at Crossroads, and produces his gem,
holding it out so that she can get a good look at it. "Any particular
reason why? It has not changed much recently."

Crossroads looks at it from where she is sitting. Tyrranis's gem was
devoid of color and was a dark grey. She had no idea how he went about
telling how corrupted his gem was. "May I?" She holds out her hand
hoping to take a closer look at it.

Tyrranis opens his hand, and tips the gem into Crossroads'. "It should
be good for a while longer. Kyrk said that we tend to corrupt slower
than you. I will not stop you from observing it though."

There seems to be a little bit of relief in her expression as she
takes Tyrranis's gem and examines it closer. The relief she had
eventually turned to concern, "Even if it does corrupt slower, it
still looks like it is about as bad as mine was yesterday." Crossroads
looks back up at Tyrranis, "The grief seed we got yesterday wasn't
used up. You really should cleanse it Tyr."

Tyrranis shakes his head. "Lorastine suffered a good deal of trauma in
that battle as well. I will cleanse her gem first. I will take the
remainder of the seed after that. You two were the first into battle,
you both get cleansed first."

"I seem to remember Kyrk saying that he would take care of Lorastine's
corruption." which meant Crossroads had to worry about Kyrk's
corruption level too since she seemed to remember him taking on her
corruption not long before she ended up at the monastery. Still, she
was more concerned for Tyrranis than Kyrk. "So there is no reason for
you not to cleanse yours." Crossroads said, handing the soul gem back
to the gigantos.

Tyrranis takes the gem, and thinks back to the fight. The entire thing
was hazy at this point. He shakes his head again. "I cannot remember.
I will keep the seed until we see her again. It is not like I will
fall in between here and Truce. We shall get back home, I will stow my
gear, and perhaps rest a bit, and then I will go find Lorastine."

"I suppose you are right." Crossroads sighs, thinking back to Lora's
reaction to seeing her wings torn of. "I'll come with you when you do
if you don't mind. Yesterday's battle was hard for both of us. If she
has been cleansed though, do you promise to use the remainder of the
grief seed on your gem?" She knits her brows, "I'm going to be worried
about it until it is."

Tyrranis nods to Crossroads. "If she is clean then I will use it on
myself, barring any unusual situations. Shall we go now?"

She couldn't argue with that. Crossroads slid out of bed and stretched
still looking a little sleepy, "Yeah, I think I am ready to get
moving. Thanks Tyr."

[-----LATER THAT DAY-----]

[-----Crossroads' House-----]

By the time they reached Truce, Crossroads was more than ready to be
back home. She already had plans to draw a bath and relax for the rest
of the afternoon and maybe curl up in bed and finish that book she was
borrowing from one of her coworkers. "Home sweet home." Crossroads
said with a small smile when their home came within sight. Sure it was
not the nicest of places and Tyr hadn't seemed all that pleased with
it when she first introduced it to him, but she was still looking
forward to returning to it.

Tyrranis stops in the yard, and sets the sack of weapons into the hole
he pulled them out of yesterday, kicking the dirt over. The things on
his mind were food and the couch, possibly not in that order but
definitely close together. However... he stands behind Crossroads to
let her into the house first, to see how her reaction to the changes
goes.

Crossroads eagerly opens the door and steps into the hallway only to
immediately notice that something was off. Her cramped little hallway
now seemed to have more space to it making it more suitable for a
gigantos to pass through. "Did you...?" With a smile she turns back to
Tyr who was busy burying his weapons "You fixed the hallway!"

Tyrranis nods. "I made slight changes to the home, yes. Sorry I did
not ask first, but it seemed the proper thing to do." Tyrranis moves
in, and follows his nose to the Kitchen, knocking things around to
rustle up the needed bits for a sandwich.

"Its your home too Tyr. You're welcome to make any changes that you
like." She had no idea what else he changed but she was suddenly very
curious, following Tyrranis into the kitchen to see if it looked the
same. Crossroads eyes widen as she steps inside, hand going over her
mouth. Slight changes? There was nothing slight about it!

Crossroads walked through the kitchen slowly, hand running against the
counters. "You did all of this?"

"In essence, the old kitchen was poorly equipped, so I funded this
one. Food is much more easily prepared with the proper workspace."
Tyrranis picks up his sandwich, brushes crumbs off the table, and
walks into the living room to snack in there.

"Funded? How much did this cost?" Crossroads started going through the
cabinets finding them bigger and better equipped. First the hallway,
now the kitchen! “What... what else did you do?"

Tyrranis peeks his head back into the kitchen from the hallway. "Most
of the house has been retrofitted into a new style, it seemed like if
I was to change one portion of it, then I should also change the rest.
As for the cost, roughly equivalent to my life savings." Tyrranis
continues on his trek into the Living room.

Crossroads mouth is agape when he mentions that it took the equivalent
of his life savings. "A-all of it..." Her voice cracked a little as
she followed him out into the living room, eyes wide taking it all in.

Tyrranis reclines in the sofa, and munches on his sandwich, happy to
take a load off. He doesn't need to pull up a book to read, instead he
just watches Crossroad's face.

She didn't even recognize the living room. It reminded her of a cave,
yet it still looked comfortable and well furnished. A startling
contrast to the nearly empty room that she had just tossed some cheap
furniture in. She was completely awestruck with everything she was
seeing. Crossroads walked past him slowly, moving to the spare room
and her bedroom wondering what had been changed in them.

Tyrranis hauls himself out of the couch, and follows Crossroads,
munching on his sandwich. He points to the spare bedroom. "That is
able to be used as a bedroom, but currently I have some weapons in
there. I was not able to dig enough holes fast enough before Lorastine
got me."

Crossroads was actually surprised there weren't more weapons in the
house considering how many Tyrranis seemed to possess. "Always good to
have easy access to weapons I guess." She briefly wondered where
Ezekiel was going to sleep before moving on to the last room; her
bedroom.

Tyrranis follows Crossroads, and finishes off his sandwich before
wiping his mouth. He was most interested to see how she would react to
her room, given the re-vamping of it.

Crossroads simply stands and stares at the room for a long time before
stepping forward and taking a closer look at things. The bookshelves
stocked with books that would take her forever to read, the egg shaped
chair which she sits in briefly before moving on to the bed; much too
big for her but still very comfortable looking. She falls back onto it
and closes her eyes testing it out.

Tyrranis leans in the doorway, and watches Crossroads' moving about.
"So you do not mind these changes?"

Crossroads opens her eyes. It was clear that Tyrranis had put a lot of
thought into the place, and a lot of money too. It was too much for
something she had only considered be a temporary home. She stands up
shaking her head wiping away the tears as they started to well up in
her eyes, "No, I..." She looks up at him then rushes forward, throwing
her arms around him.

Tyrranis reacts quicker than he did last time, wrapping his arms
around Crossroads with a smile. "It is okay, you do not have to cry.
You gave me a place to live, I simply wanted to make it better."

"But...Why did you have to make it so nice?" Crossroads's voice
wavered a little. Although he said she didn't have to cry she couldn't
help herself at the moment, "You jerk...This was only supposed to be a
temporary place. Now I want to stay here!"

Tyrranis shrugs simply, not letting go of the hug yet. "I thought you
said that because you did not like this place enough. So I sought to
change it to a place you could stay at."

"I love it Tyr! Really, I... I can't believe you did this much for
me." Crossroads squeezed him a little tighter before pulling herself
away a little, smiling a little, "Thank you!"

Tyrranis nods at Crossroads, and smiles again. "I am glad you are
happy. I was worried you might be angry at the changes, at first."

"How can I be angry when you improved it so much?" Crossroads wipes
away the last of her tears, then leans in to give him a quick kiss on
his cheek "This is the nicest thing anyone has done for me."

Tyrranis raises an eyebrow at the kiss, but accepts it anyways. "I do
not see why people are not inclined to help you, you seem nice enough
to me."

So says the person she swindled an apple from when they first met.
Crossroads wondered how she could even begin to repay him for all of
this as she truly didn't think she deserved it. Besides, people just
don't remodel houses for others just because they think someone's nice
and they feel inclined to! She didn't answer Tyrranis though, instead
she just gave him another hug.

Tyrranis is happy with this hug. These things please him.
