[-----TRUCE SUBURBS-----]

"...will check in tomorrow, if not by later tonight. I would request that you not tell them where I am right now, since they need to watch the Viorar region while I'm absent." Kyrk's voice was present even before he was, sounding like he was talking to someone alongside him.

Kyrk arrived within the vicinity of the suburbs within a few moments, holding some sort of device in his hand, held near his mouth as he spoke. "Everything will be fine, they're starting to take care of themselves without my help, now. I trust you enough; if they ask, just tell them I'm away on business, but not where I am. That's all for now. Kyrk out." He lowered his device, pocketing it as he moved along.

The sounds of construction ring out from Crossroad's home, and large men carry various materials in and out of the house like ants. Tyrranis sits on an upturned wheelbarrow, sweat glistening from his body. The giganto turns his head as he hears Kyrk, and nods to the warrior. "Kyrk. It is odd to see you just around, these days."

Kyrk comes upon the construction, stopping a short distance away as he eyes the project, then Tyrranis himself. "Perhaps. Threats can arise in unexpected places, so when we scout, we need to be very thorough. Thankfully, and thanks to your efforts, this city has been rather peaceful in the last several days. You do your job well."

Tyrranis stares at the home, and contemplates the compliment. "There has not been much to it really. I simply act as I do normally, though now I fight larger enemies... who is this we that you speak of?"

Kyrk gestures in a broad fashion. "All of us. I was referring to ourselves as a collective. Our Soul Gems will point the way for us, but only within a certain vicinity. Beforehand, we must take the initiative to seek them out on patrols. It's almost
become a hobby of mine, over the last few years. When I'm not at the lab, anyway."

Tyrranis turns his head back to Kyrk, and raises an eyebrow. "'In the lab'. You make it sound like you are a scientist. I thought you were a warrior." Tyrranis' gaze strays again, and he pauses before speaking again. "Kyrk. Who is the most fit to lead? Those who fight, or those who think?"

Kyrk takes Tyrranis' query into account for a moment, mulling it over in his brain. "I think it would depend as much on the person and their capabilities as it would on how what style dominates their nature. I think you're doing a fine job as it is. And if you're asking me, personally, well."

Kyrk simply shrugs, completely indifferent. "I don't feel the need for leadership. We're all on equal footing, and I don't value any one of you more or less than the others."

Tyrranis flexes his hand, scowling. "You say I am a fit leader. I doubt it. I'm lead by battle, by want to fight a strong enemy. I still think that you would make a stronger choice. You understand more about our enemy, you have fought them for longer. That makes you the natural choice."

Kyrk offers a smirk, briefly. "I am only as strong as those I meet, and I mean that literally. I fight alongside my comrades as equals, and I will do no less regardless of titles. Besides this, you have priority on your side. I did not come to your territory simply to yank it out from under you and command you like dogs or swine."

Tyrranis scoffs. "Priority? My Territory? I know what I am Kyrk, there is no need to sugarcoat it because I kill monsters. I am a vagrant coated in blood. You have seen me fight. You know my motivations, my wish. Even now, I feel the strongest desire to fight you, to see which of us is better."

You say ' This is why I doubt I can lead.'

Kyrk takes an easy stance, placing a hand on his hip within his cape's confines. "Your combat ability is second-to-none. The manner in which you fight is of no consequence, so long as the task you set out to do is completed to your satsifaction, Tyrranis. Your wish is you own, and not anyone else's. Do not let anyone ever tell you that their's is or was better then yours, or vice versa."

Kyrk says 'I would readily admit my desire to abstain from your current ambition, however. Fighting Witches and Yoma is one thing, but I am stolidly against combat between us of the same proverbial bloodlines. There are much better things we could be doing with our time. Like building a house, for example.'

Tyrranis shakes his head. "That is not what I said Kyrk. You are so quick to re-enforce me, for a reason I cannot tell. But, I undestand that you do not wish to fight. I will hold my wants, for now. One day, I would like to hang your weapon on my wall. It's scar would be something to remember." Tyrranis rubs at his arm, and then shakes his head to clear it.

You say ' You do not need to help with the house though. It is a project I am working on right now. Something to ground Crossroads more, and hopefully something to cut back on emotional corruption.'

Kyrk seems to be taken aback by the comment regarding possession of his weapon, but keeps any thoughts he'd had about it to himself. Instead, he nods agreeably. "And it is reasons like this why I give the encouragement. You claim yourself to be a mindless brute with a passion only for blood, yet you do something like this willingly. How can you not yet see it in yourself?"

"I do not feel the need to fight Crossroads. She trains well, but she... thinks too much?" Tyrranis ponders this for a moment. "I will keep the corruption she incurs to a minimum, where I can control it. The same falls for Lorastine, but where she is, I do not know."

Kyrk offers a small, if empty, smile. "Not everyone likes to be grounded, as it were. Some birds find their happiness highest when riding the wind. She is not averse to finding you when trouble is incurred, so I do not feel the need to worry for her safety. But do me a favor, while we're on the subject."

Kyrk says 'Listen to her. Even if you do not agree with or feel inclined to provide action to match her advice, listen. She will keep you safe in different ways than you will keep her safe. It is a lesson I had to learn the hard way, but it is the truth.'

Tyrranis looks over Kyrk, eyebrown raised. "What do you know that I do not?"

Kyrk says 'I've skirted death's pit far too many times to count, by now. Some of those acts of fortune were not my own doing. The female persuasion is... a unique touch. They provide a different form of rationalizing than I think either one of us could ever hope to understand. It is just one of the many differences that separate us, Tyrranis. You'll have to take my word on this one.'

"Huh..." Tyrranis thinks about this for a moment, recalling events past. "A different form, that's what that was." Tyrranis examines Kyrk again, grimacing. "You mean you want me to get Crossroads crying again? Certianly an odd way of avoiding stress."

Kyrk looks at you for a long moment, before closing his eyes. He doesn't say anything for a long moment, before speaking again, eyes still closed. "If you can at all help it, try to avoid that. But sometimes it is inevitable. Just listen to what they tell you. Hear them out. Make the attempt to understand. That is all most of them really want from us." Kyrk opens his eyes, abolishing his leisure stance and standing up straight. If he was prone to showing any emotion just now, it is quickly gone.

Tyrranis waves off the talk of emotions and women. Neither were something he had experience in. "Kyrk. What did you wish for?"

Kyrk looks at Tyrranis, his eyes half-lidded. He looks like he really doesn't want to bring it up, right now, and to reinforce his assumption, he doesn't respond to Tyrranis' question.

You say ' Something like that, huh? It doesn't matter. Sit. I get tired watching you stand. The construction should be done after today, hopefully before Crossroads comes back from where ever she is. Tonight I will sleep with the stars again, perhaps find something to kill and eat.'

Kyrk shakes his head. "I apologize. I don't like to refrain from standing and being at my ready unless I am going to bed for the evening. The vulnerable feeling of not being on my feet and thus not being able to act swiftly in the event of an emergency does not sit well with me. But I appreciate the gesture."

Kyrk looks off into the distance for a moment, focusing. "Did she not say where she was leaving to? If you're building her a house, it would seem like she would want you to know where she is in the event of an emergency."

You say ' I woke up. She was away. It is possible that I simply forgot, but I do not think I would forget something like that. I have not seen Lorastine either. My hope is that they left as a squad.'

Kyrk continues to focus for a moment, one of his brows raising. "I cannot feel Kyuubey's presence, either. I had previously, not a short while ago. This is an ominous feeling."

You say ' The Wish-Granter will be fine. It can grant any wish it wants. If it wants to be out of our knowledge, it is not out of it's power.'

Kyrk says 'The fact that I cannot sense his presence is not the troubling part. The fact of how it abruptly disappeared is what causes my concern. But I suppose you're right.'

Lorastine soars over Truce searching for Tyrranis or Kyrk. Lucky for her she finds them both together below her. As she pulls her wings closer to her body, she swoops down and manages a clumsy but safe landing. "I found you! Cross... there was an attack on a monastery. And then Kyuubey died. And there was a witch. And Cross is there by herself. She sent me to come find you two for back up..."Lorastine's speech was fast and sort of panicky with all the events she had to inform, not knowing where to begin.

Tyrranis blinks at Lorastine twice, and then pushes himself forwards and onto a knee. He thrusts his hand into a soft spot in the ground, and strains for a moment before loosing what seems to be something bundled in a sheet from the ground. He does not waste more time, already running out of the residential area. Over his shoulder, he yells "Return to Crossroads immediately and back her up. I will be there soon."

Kyrk looks up Lorastine as she arrives, and watches her with unblinking eyes as she flusters everything out; he continues looking upon her even when she finishes, apparently taking in this information and sorting it all out internally. If he heard Tyrranis' command, he isn't apparently in the same urgent state that the former seems to be.

Nevertheless, Kyrk gives an affirming nod, and sets off in that direction through the suburbs, passing by Lorastine without so much as a glance, nod, or thank-you for the information.

Lorastine watches the two leave with a nod at Tyrranis's order. She would definately make it there before they did by air. As Kyrk passes she looks at him, feeling a bit weird for not atleast being acknowledged. She had more important tasks at hand though to worry about something so trival. She flaps her wings and takes to the skies again, headed towards where she last left Crossroads.
