Free City, Truce - Fountain
A tiered fountain marks the center of Truce, water gushing from its
summit and trickling into a deep, wide basin, wrapped by a ring of benches.
Roads flow like rivers away from the fountain, and houses sprout like weeds
all around them. Not far to the east, the ocean roars in the harbor.

Lenai stomps into the region, and slams her rear down onto a bench to sit.

Shamaster Is reading a book with Lilliana laying on his lap.

Lenai says ' WHY IS EVERYONE SO STUPID.'

Shamaster looks up at Lenai then goes back to his book.

Shamaster says ' Mortality does that.'

Lenai points at Shamaster accusingly.

Lenai says ' DON'T YOU LOOK AT ME.'

Tyrranis shifts his attention from the sky to Lenai, and raises an eyebrow.

Lorastine looks over at Lenai and tilts her head. "Hey Whats up?"

Tyrranis says ' You look different.'

Lenai says ' I'm ANGRY.'

Lenai says ' THAT'S WHAT'S UP.'

Shamaster says ' Really now?'

Lenai says ' Don't you walk away, get your ass back here!'

Lorastine looks frowns and shakes her head, not getting any closer.

Crossroads is deep thought. She glances at Lenai for a moment wondering about her sudden anger but then turns back to watch the water bubbling at the fountain.

Lenai says ' DON'T MAKE ME DRAG YOU OVER HERE!'

Tyrranis blinks slowly at Lenai, then stands up and sets a hand on her shoulder. "You. Need to calm down."

Lenai reaches back and swings a fist at Tyrranis's rock hard abs.

Dusk arrives from the south and observes the scene before equipping a wicked grin, "Ahh, Lenai. Your empty shell still moves?"

Tyrranis looks down as Lenai's fist contacts his gut, and then looks back up slowly at her. "Are you trying to fight me?"

Shamaster turns page

Lenai says ' Fuck your abs are like steel!'

Lenai points at Dusk accusingly.

Lorastine doesn't know what to think with her friend now flipping out all of a sudden.

Lenai says ' AND YOU, don't talk to me! You abandoned me!'

Lenai huffs and stomps her feet.

Lorastine says ' Abandoned? I would never abandon you!'

Lenai says ' NOT YOU, HIM!'

Dusk laughs loudly, "Hah! You are as amusing as always. Yes, heartless Florence does tend to overlook the minor details of someone being left all alone without a soul."

Lenai points at Dusk accusingly.

Lenai says ' WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?'

Dusk presses his glasses closer to his face, "Still, regardless of what you believe, I have been looking into your situation."

Shamaster looks up at the mention of soul.

Tyrranis is waiting patiently for Lenai to respond to him. Almost too patiently.

Shamaster looks at Dusk.

Lenai says ' SITUATION?'

Lenai says ' WHAT SITUATION, BEING FREE?'

Lenai points at Lorastine accusingly.

Lenai says ' GET OVER HERE'

Lorastine flinches and shakes her head "N-no"

Dusk shrugs widely, wicked grin still in place. "Why, yes! Free and soulless! It so happens that there is a man in this very city who may be capable of restoring what was lost!"

Tyrranis scratches the side of his head, turns, and goes to sit back down. Women are confusing.

Lenai says ' ...Soulless? What are you babbling about?!'

Lenai says ' LOOK AT ME, DO I LOOK SOULLESS TO YOU?'

Tyrranis chews on an apple.

Shamaster says ' Just angry from what i'm seeing.'

A white cat with a few red patterns on his body pads in from the north, stopping near one of the benches and sitting down, curling his tail about his feet.

Dusk smirks, "You poor machine. It seems part of your brain was taken along with your soul! Assuming you ever had one."

Lenai stands up, and starts walking over to Dusk, reaching up her hand to slap him across the face.

Lenai says ' SHUT THE HELL UP.'

Dusk continues on, "But worry your empty shell not. I simply must find this 'Seamus Blackwater' in order to proceed on our initial plan. You do remember our initial plan, don't you?"

Kyuubey says 'Rather disruptive here, this evening. Loud enough to wake the dead, I would figure.' He seems to be talking either to no one or everyone; its hard to tell.

Lenai points at Kyuubey, and screams.

Tyrranis focuses down to Kyuubey, and nods to the cat. "Ah. Wish-Granter. Hello."

Lenai says ' GO AWAY BEFORE I CRUSH YOU UNDER MY HEEL.'

Lenai says ' ...What plan do you mean, Dusk?'

Kyuubey says 'Unless I am mistaken, I have as much right to be in a public location as anyone else. And please stop yelling, its very distracting.'

Lenai says ' DISTRACTING FROM WHAT, TRICKING PEOPLE?'

Lilliana says ' I thought the cat was helpful?'

Kyuubey says 'Still harboring the same tunes. I don't expect any different, however, at this point.' Kyuubey looks up at Tyrranis, with his oblivious cat-face.

Dusk grins, "Please, you call me Florence now. Dusk is..strangely comfortable with me taking his body. Apparently he thinks that all I need is a friend. But anyways, the point: The plan to restore your soul! You didn't forget what that man did to you, did you?"

Shamaster pushes Lilliana up.

Lilliana leaves south.

Lenai says ' Restore my soul? DO I LOOK LIKE THERE'S SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY SOUL?'

Dusk smirks, "It seems events for you have occured while I've been in Viorar. So be it, I'll just have to restore you without your help. I am eager to learn from this 'Seamus'."

Listening in to the whole conversation, Lorastine did notice something wrong with Lenai, but the way Dusk was going about it offended even her. It was like he was taunting her, trying to provoke her.

Tyrranis watches Kyuubey intently. Usually when the cat was around interesting things happened, and today had been pretty slow so far.

Kyuubey stands up on all four feet, his tail going airborn once more. "Well, as enjoyable as this isn't, I'm afraid there's something you all should see. Kyrk is waiting for you in the suburbs, north of here. Some of you are more inclined to listen to him than me, anyway, so I'll take my leave for now."

Kyuubey does indeed take his leave, heading toward the south in his nonchalant sort of way, probably moving around or between some of the attendants of the fountain as he does.

Kyuubey's inference seems to have been regarded to those of Wishborn status, despite him having noted "everyone".

Crossroads looks north and then finally turns around eyes falling upon the other wishborn. " Guess we better go then."

Lorastine nods "Lets go. I'm with you."

Tyrranis stands roughly, and heads to the north. If Kyrk was doing something, he might be interested.

Player Housing: Truce - Northern Suburbs [Room 7850]
The sandy road ends here, in a cul-de-sac scattered with cobblestones,
and surrounded by homes and empty lots of all sizes. Houses of all
descriptions surround the area, ranging from small, quaint cottages, to huge
mansions of truly alien design. To the east, a wide strip of compact sand
leads between the homes, back towards the northern gate of Truce.

Kyrk is here at the suburb outskirts, kneeling on the ground over... someone. A raven haired lass is doubled over on the ground, face contorted into a scary combination of a grimace and a grin. She seems to be struggling against something, holding her head in both hands as Kyrk looks on, his face devoid of any emotion (more so than usual, even).

Kyrk rises to his feet upon realizing that the troops have arrived, but doesn't face them; he instead looks down at the squirming girl, who by now has gotten into a sitting position, gritting her teeth now against whatever force seems to be possessing her. "We fight because we must. But beyond that, we fight to protect. If we are heroes, I'm not certain." He never takes his eyes off the girl.

Kyrk says 'Eventually we fight our last battle. What happens after that is no longer up to us. But we pray that someone else will make the right choice for us.'

Crossroads looks at the girl, and frowns. "What is happening to her?" She asks quietly.

Lorastine looks at the girl and takes a step forward, kneeling near, but not close to the girl. "She doesn't look good,"

Tyrranis does the sensible thing, reads the situation, and grips his soul gem tightly. After a greyscale haze passes the Giganto, he stands with his bat out, patiently watching the goings on.

Kyrk nods at Lorastine, looking to her with a slight tilt of his head. "She isn't. She has reached her limit." He looks back to the girl, who still convluses horribly, looking to be in an extreme amount of either pain or discomfort. "I could not arrive in time to save her, and she pushed herself too hard. The witch is gone at this time, retreated into the abyss elsewhere."

Kyrk says 'I asked Kyuubey to bring you here, so that you might witness this for yourself. You deserve to know firsthand the penalty for failure to exercise caution."'

Crossroads looks at Kyrk sourly for a moment, " You are letting her suffer here in agony just to make a demonstration out of her?" Her attention turns back to the girl, and her hand quickly and quite fluidly pulls out a knife. Crossroads could make this quick if she had to but she had to make sure, " Is there any time or hope for her? What is going to happen to her?"

Lorastine flinches when she hears from Crossroads that the girl was suffering and how she was going to resort to killing the girl. "You... You monsters!" she said quickly going over to the poor girl's side. She kneeled down next to her and looked at her. "There has to be a way to stop it, give her a grief seed or something!" She held the girl close to her. She didn't want someone to fall victim if there was a possibilty. She hadn't changed yet so there had to be a way to stop it.

Tyrranis stands stoically at the sights before him, bat still in his hand.

As Lorastine takes the tormented girl close, her soul gem rolls down her dirtied clothing and onto the cobblestones; normally a yellow egg-shaped jewel, it is now clouded with darkness throughout and severely cracked in several places. Pale green electric charges run through it, threatening a complete deterioration at any moment.

Kyrk looks at Lorastine wordlessly for moment, before responding to Crossroads. "If memory serves, and Kyuubey is not wrong, it was you who sought all the information. You who wanted the truth. You who wanted nothing hidden. I am merely helping to grant your request; let no curtains hide the truth from your eyes any longer. She is beyond hope, and it takes what little will she has left to avoid the change."

Kyrk says 'We fight to protect each other in the midst of combat. But when that fails, we have a duty to protect those who would become endangered by the fallen. You know what must be done, and I would like to know that you are capable of making the right choice, whether it be now or in the future. For each other.'

So then, there was no time at all. Crossroads nods quickly, She rushes for the suffering girl with the knife, pushing Lorastine aside as she crouches down by the girls side. The blade in her hand arching for the girls throat.

Tyrranis steps forwards, grabs Crossroads by the shoulder and pulls her back, shaking his head at her. Looking to the fallen magical girl, he picks up her gem, and places it in the girl's hands. "You will need this. For the passing." The giganto locks eyes with the woman as he gives her a small smile. "The ancestors will guide you." His bat rises, and crashes down on the woman's skull with magically augmented force.

Lorastine, being pushed away, still tried to reach out to save the child. She refuses to truly accept that it was what needed to be done. Her eyes widen when Tyrranis set up and screams out to him "No, Dont!" However whatever she says didn't matter as the giant smashes the girl's head.

Tyrranis brings his bat down with as much force as mentioned, and the dull -whock- sounds from the woman's skull caving in on impact; she stiffens abruptly as it happens, then falls limply to the side. In the process, her soul gem ceases all color and activity, becoming nothing more than an empty, cracked piece of clear egg-shaped glass in her unmoving hands.

Kyrk watches silently, nodding just subtly as he makes an obscure gesture over his chest and shoulders, and turns to begin walking away.

Crossroads pulls herself back to her feet and dusts herself off. She couldn't help but feel a little annoyed with Tyrranis for suddenly stepping in and doing the job himself but it seemed to have gotten the job done. She couldn't complain too much. She then looks down at the body of the girl and shakes her head, if she should be angry with anyone right now, it was Kyrk who was now walking away from the situation.

Lorastine sits on her knees, tears starting to drip down her cheeks. "I couldn't save her..."

Tyrranis kneels down infront of Lorastine, and looks her in the eyes as well. "We did save her. Think about what a Witch goes through during changing from that" Tyrranis points to the woman "To what we fought. We also saved any potential victims that she might have killed before we found her. It is the best thing we could have done."

Kyrk turns at an intersection nearby, looking to be heading toward the fountain area as he leaves the suburbs, not looking back as he goes.

Kyrk leaves east.

A brisk wind rolls by, rustling the deceased woman's hair.

Crossroads doesn't look at Lorastine, instead her eyes are fixated on the girl's body. " It is better that she dies like this in her own body that she was fighting so hard to hold on to and not in the form of a witch. It is sad and unfortunate but this was a kindness." She then looks at Tyrranis, fighting back the tears, " What should we do with the body?"

Lorastine stands and goes to the girl's corpse. "I want to give her a funeral. Even if its just a burial and a flowers." she says looking up at the two. She takes a cloth and covers the girl's crushed skull.

Tyrranis sighs deeply, and picks up the body of the fallen magical girl gently. "I will handle burying her. There is plenty of land in the fields south. If you two wish to follow me, you may."

" I think we might find flowers in that area too." Crossroads nods, wiping her eyes and folding her arms. "Lets find a nice place for her."

Peaceful Fields of Guardia
These lush fields expand further to the west, where a road leading
north-south cuts through the middle of them. The sea is visible, far to the
east, and a small dirt path begins here and leads in that direction. Farm
animals wander the fields, grazing in random clumps.

Tyrranis kneels down, and sets the body on the ground. "Wait here a moment. I will retrieve a shovel." He turns and leaves, letting the women do... women stuff.

Kyuubey watches from a short distance away, his expression indiscernable as he sits in the grass; had he been there the whole time, or just now arrived? Cats are strange creatures, man.

Crossroads doesn't notice Kyuubey there. Instead she places a hand on Lorastine's shoulder in an effort to provide the girl with some comfort, " We can collect some flowers over there."

Crossroads points to a small here where some white daisys seem to be swaying in the breeze.

Kyuubey looks around in the subconscious manner that cats tend to, tilting his head to one side to scratch at one of his ears, from his spot in the grass.

Lorastine nods and walks over to the flowers to pick some for the girl. The flowers were nice, nothing so fancy. She ignores the unsettling stare of a nearby cat responsible for this mess. After she collects enough flowers, she smiled faintly and held them. "Like the ones that used to grow at home..."she said quietly before standing up and bringing them over to the burial site.

Much banging and clattering sounds in the distance, and Tyrranis returns with a short and much-used shovel. Eyeing the flowers, he begins digging the grave methodically.

Crossroads is sitting in the grass, her hand busy putting together a small wreath with the daisys she had collected. She doesn't look up from her work when Lorastine speaks but asks "I never saw flowers like this until I came here."

Lorastine smiles a little, "These were pretty common back home. Its kinda surprising to see them."

Tyrranis is digging a godforsaken grave. He is getting covered in sweat and dirt.

Crossroads suddenly stops and looks back to where Tyrranis and the body are. " I wonder..." She sighed shaking her head slowly. She would NOT think about what would happen to them when they reached their ends. At least not now.

Kyuubey maintained his silent vigil over the group, every so often pausing to do something catlike and unimportant.

As the group stood around the hole being dug by Tyrranis. She looks over at the girl's body and places a few daisies on her body and claspes her hands in a formal style. Lorastine says a small little prayer for her in Hylian. "Are we ready?"

Crossroads nods. Her head bowed in quiet contemplation.

Kyuubey turns, heading back up the path and through Truce's southern gate.

Tyrranis slams his shovel into the ground one last time, and then climbs out of the somewhat short grave. Grabbing the body, he tries to lower it into the ground as reverently as possible, and pauses to let the girls say goodbye. Or some girly thing.

Crossroads wanted to say something but the words didn't seem to come. She felt as though something should be said. After all, this girl was one of their own.

Lorastine looks down and closes her eyes in reverance. She remains silent for the entire burial.

Tyrranis starts shoveling dirt onto the corpse, seemingly rushing a bit though.

Tyrranis loads the rest of the dirt ontop of the grave and nods, wiping his brow. "It is done. Are you two okay?"

" Yeah. I am alright. Thanks Tyrranis." Crossroads voice was low and quiet and even as she speaks she avoids making eye contact with either of them.

Lorastine looks up with her cheeks a little wet from her tears. "Yes. I'm fine... Thanks... For everything."

Tyrranis picks up the shovel, and begins walking in the direction he was in before, moving a bit stiffly. "I will see you both later."
