[-----TRUCE FOUNTAIN-----]

[-----TAKEN FROM TYRRANIS' PERSPECTIVE-----]

Crossroads takes a seat on one of the benches by the fountain and stretches. The past few days had been busy, and her nights had been littered with visions up until now. It was nice to finally get a decent nights rest.

Tyrranis is seated on another Bench, coated in a fine layer of dew. His eyes are turned to the sky currently, but he himself is being watched by several pidgeons, each expecting bread or other food from the large giganto.

Crossroads looks over to you. When she had left last night he had been staring at the fountain. And with the dew, it was apparent that he hadn't left. " Tyr? Have you really been out here all night?"

Tyrranis looks over to Crossroads in return as she speaks to him, and takes a little while to contemplate her question. "There was no reason to move. So I did not."

"No reason, huh?" Crossroads folds her arms and raises an eyebrow at him. "Don't tell me you gigantos can't catch colds."

Tyrranis shrugs simply, and shakes his head roughly to clear the dew off. "I have not often slept under a roof. Ever since I was a child, I was in the wilderness, or an area like it."

"I guess the cold doesn't bother you much then. You've adapted to being outside all the time" Crossroads was kind of envious of him for that. Still it sounded like it had to have been pretty rough. And she was still a little curious about him, "If you don't mind me asking, What you told me yesterday...what happened to you when you regained conciousness?"

Tyrranis focuses on Crossroads as her question pierces his dulled state. He doesn't exactly completely wake up, but he does begin talking in a sharper tone. "I woke up, and found myself trapped. It was like being suffocated by flesh. Slowly, I dragged myself from under the pile of my childhood friends, and surveyed my village."

" What...What did you see?" Crossroads pulled her legs up onto the bench and wrapped her arms around them. She could already take a guess as to what had happened and what kind of sight might lay before him but...

Tyrranis thinks for a moment, and then keeps talking in a flat tone. "The heads of my elders had been removed from their bodies. The heads themselves sat upon stakes plated into the ground, and the bodies thrown into another pile. The stakes were placed around a particular body, that of the village champion. His skull was nowhere to be found. I saw a man, black and yellow armor covered in blood. A spear was in his right hand, and an old artifact in his left. He looted it from our town. We all fought to save it

You say ' And he killed us all. I can not remember his name, save for a letter of it.'

Crossroads swallows at the description. " That artifact... Had to be important to your village for them all fight so hard to protect it." She says slowly, wondering briefly what it was. Poor you! She couldn't even begin to imagine what waking up to that might have felt like!"How did you manage after that? What did you do?"

You say ' For a while I tried to find the man who killed my village. It was not easy, he seemed to travel alone mostly, and walked like he needed no rest. I lost him after a while, and found myself some place I had never been. So I wandered, fighting off the wildlife that tried to prey on me, and trying to learn the location of the armored man from people who found me.'

Crossroads says ' Did you ever find him?'

"After a while I gave up. I forgot what he looked like, so it could have been anyone with the armor. So I wandered more, fighting creatures until I grew older. Then I fought other things too, people who tried to take or rob me. I only lost a few times." Tyrranis spaces out for a moment after this, and then continues. "I always got free. The years passed like that. I found Truce about two years ago. I have been here, or near, ever since. It is a nice place. The police do not try to jail me anymore

Crossroads's shoulders sag as he finished. She wanted to give him a hug... or something! But even though she had done it twice already she wasn't sure if the gesture was wanted or even all that appriciated with him. Instead she simply nods and says, "So, you found something of a home here then?"

Tyrranis pats the stone bench he rests on firmly, and then shrugs. "It is close to a home for me. For a while, many tried to get rid of me, but I always returned. It is a nice bench. It has taught me things."

"I guess that is all you ever need then." Crossroads says smiling a little, " Good benches are hard to come by."

Tyrranis shrugs noncommitally. "The bench is well constructed yes. It is something I can relax on."

Crossroads stands up and crouches down next to it to get a better look at the bench. " Indeed. You should find the person who crafted it and send them your thanks. They should make more benches like these!" She looked up at at him again, her expression growing sad , "Tyrannis... I hope one day you will find him. The guy with the armor I mean."

Tyrranis looks at Crossroads and shrugs. "I only know a letter of his name, and a child's memory of him. The chances I will find him are extremely low, if there at all. All I can do now is fight."

Crossroads looks down at the bench again. " You know the color of his armor too. It had to have come from somewhere Right?" She thinks for a moment, "I just thought of something. How did you find out the first letter of his name? And what was it?"

You say ' He yelled it bluntly. His name I mean. The letter was G. He actually bellowed the entire time he was fighting, usually quips. For all of what he did though, his skill with his weapon was amazing.'

Crossroads keeps looking at the bench, "If that is the case it seems like he wanted you to know it."

Tyrranis shrugs simply. "The curse of being unable to remember."
Crossroads says ' It was a long time ago. And after the trauma you probably suffered... you can't be blamed for forgetting.'

You say ' If I find him again one day, I will kill him. If I cannot remember him at that time, then I will pass him by. It is as simple as that.'

"I hope you remember if you do." Crossroads said. There was always a chance something could just click. " What did he steal from your village anyway?"

Tyrranis frows, and his brow furrows as he concentrates. After a moment he shakes his head. "An old slate? A red gem? I cannot remember. It has left my mind."

"Hm... it isn't a lot to go on." Crossroads said quietly, thinking heavily.

"I know that." Tyrranis studies Crossroads for a moment. "What are you doing Apple Knower?"

" Just thinking is all." She didn't know if it was possible or not, but she could at least try using her powers to find the guy.
Maybe look to see if their paths DID cross at some point. But then again, there even if she did see the person he was after how would Crossroads know it was him? you fought so many people it would be impossible to tell, wouldn't it?

Tyrranis looks into the sky with a dulled expression on his face.

Crossroads stands up and she notices your attention turn back to the sky. She figured it would be best to leave him for the moment to stare into the empty space, maybe go get some breakfast.
