Free City, Truce - Fountain
A tiered fountain marks the center of Truce, water gushing from its
summit and trickling into a deep, wide basin, wrapped by a ring of benches.
Roads flow like rivers away from the fountain, and houses sprout like weeds
all around them. Not far to the east, the ocean roars in the harbor.

Tyrranis brings his gaze down to the people at the fountain, and raises an eyebrow. "Who here has taken the Wish Granter's offer?"

Lorastine put her hands cautiously on Lenai's waist, "I think we are making a scene, cause the people here seem to be avoiding looking at us." she says giggling a little

Lorastine looks over at Tyrranis, "I made that wish"

Lenai looks over at Tyrranis, blushing. "A-ahh..! I-I didn't even know he could...see! Oh dear... U-um, well, I guess it doesn't matter in reality..."

Lenai says ' I made a wish. I regret it.'

Tyrranis says ' Irregardless. A fight is coming soon. Have either of you tested your forms yet?'

Lenai says ' I'm never entering the form again. I'm fine how I am.'

Lilliana says ' . Di-din't the man say using your forms hurts your gem....?'

Tyrranis shakes his head. "Experience is worth absorbing the corruption incurred." Turning to Lenai, he raises an eyebrow. "You have power and refuse to use it? Then begone. The battlefield is no place for those who do not fight with their all."

Lenai says ' EXCUSE ME?'

Lilliana stands up.

Lorastine looks down at her bag and can see her soul's crystal a little bit. Everytime she looked at it, it bothered her.

Lilliana moves behind the fountain

Tyrranis says ' The battlefield. Is no place. For those who do not fight.'

Lenai says ' The form isn't power, its weakness. It's like flailing bloody arms around in an attempt to deal damage, you do more harm than good.'

Crossroads, having found that her water bottle was empty had decided to refill it at Truces fountain. After the dream she had last night, she couldn't get back to sleep so in the early hours of the morning she paid a visit to Crysta and was only now returning.

The subtle sound of a cloak billowing in the wind can be heard from... somewhere, nearby. It's a faint, brief sound of cloth flapping in the breeze, but it doesn't seem too obvious or apparent.

Lorastine has her long blonde hair attempting to blow in the wind

Tyrranis says ' The fact that you are untrained in the use of your form does not mean it is weak. It means you lack experience. The fact that you refuse to gain experience makes you useless.'

Lenai says ' I've used the form. It's only considered "power" by those stupid enough to realize risking everything for a few cheap tricks isn't worth it.'

Lenai says ' You're a waste of my breath, I'd rather not talk to someone so arrogant.'

Crossroads noticed Tyrranis, then after picking up on the conversation he was having looked at Lenai slowly realizing what they were talking about, " You are one too?"

Tyrranis smiles faintly at Lenai. "If I am a waste, then do yourself a favor and leave. I intend on forming a force of us. The enemy will fall."

Lorastine remains silent not one for being apart of arguements.

Lenai says ' If you're forming a force, would you really deny anyone?'

Lilliana notices Crossroads

Tyrranis looks to Crossroads, and nods to her. "Apple Knower. It is good to see you. May I see your gem?"

" Apple... what? OH!" Crossroads sleepy brain takes a moment to remember what Tyrannis was referring to. She had told him she was an apple inspector when they first met. She smiles at the giant and undoes the clasp to the necklace holding her gem and hands it to him.

Crossroads says ' sorry, I am a little out of it today.'

Lilliana says ' There are.. Apple inspectors?'

Lilliana says ' City life is strange...'

Tyrranis lifts the gem to his eyes, and frowns. He hands it back to Crossroads, and then lifts his bat. Scratching at the base of it, he undoes a concealed cork and taps out a grief seed. Nodding, he passes it to Crossroads. "Later, use it. Not now though. Another combat is coming."

Crossroads looks down at the grief seed in his hand and slowly reaches out to take it. " Are you sure? Was there another witch?" If there was she wanted to hear about it.

Tyrranis looks back to Lorastine and Lenai, and then to Crossroads. "It is to my understanding another Witch is coming. I plan to gather a force of Wish Takers to destroy it. Once this is done, we shall split the dropped grief seed among us. This way we can survive, and prosper."

Lorastine says ' Very well... I shall join you.'

Crossroads nods, turning the grief seed in her hand and examining it, " That sounds like a good idea." But that didn't explain where it had come from.

Tyrranis turns to Lorastine. "I am willing to help train you in the use of your magical form. Are you willing to learn?"

Lorastine says ' I am ready.'

Tyrranis turns now to Lenai. "Are you still unwilling to learn?"

Lenai gets off of Lorastine. "I refuse to use my form."

Crossroads yawns and puts the grief seed in her pocket. " I think I can use a little help training as well if it isn't a problem."

Tyrranis says ' I refuse to put someone into battle that will not use their form. It is the safest way to combat the Witches.'

Lorastine looks at Lenai and frowns a little looking at the ground. She felt torn by her wish and her friend.

Crossroads says ' Besides, normal beople can't fight them. I have seen one try.'

Lenai boosts up a few feet into the air with her jet boots. "I'm certain I can fight them like I did last time."

Lenai says (OOC) 'She means when she used her gatling and mini-gun'

Tyrranis looks flatly at Lenai. "You are without willingness to use your form. If you will not use that, then you revoke it's benifits, such as reduced damage and faster healing. This would prove to put your life moreso at risk. I will not allow this."

Crossroads says ' " You cannot hurt them without your powers. You can't do anything to them. To go into battle without them is to die. I refuse to try and save another idiot with a hero complex who can't pick their battles wisely.'

Lorastine reaches into her bag and pulls out her gold crystal as it shimmered in the rising sunlight.

Lenai says ' Then I guess I won't fight any more witches.'

Tyrranis turns his back on Lenai, and looks to Lorastine and Crossroads. "You two, begin walking to the Rabite Forest. It is unpopulated there, we shall use it as training grounds."

Crossroads nods to tyrranis, "Alright. See you in a few then?"

You say ' Indeed.'

Crossroads glances at Lenai briefly, then starts walking westword.

Lorastine stands up.

Lorastine smiles at Lenai, "I'll see you around, ok?"

Lenai nods in agreement to Lorastine.

Lorastine leaves west.

Tyrranis looks at Lenai with a face that is deadly serious. "It is not my intention to ostricize you. You are a Wish Taker, like all of us. Self loathing aside, it's a power that can be used. I intend to teach us all to use it safely. If you ever want to learn, find me."

Lenai says ' I do not plan to use this any longer. I plan on saving myself from this curse.'

Lenai says ' And saving anyone else who wants saving.'

You say ' Then settle it like this. You focus on saving us from ourselves. I will focus on saving us from everyone else. Deal?'

Lenai says ' ...If you die, I'm not going to hell to collect your soul for you. Got it?'

Lenai says ' Not unless you're stuck with them.'

You say ' If I die, then I'm going to be having too much fun fighting to let you pull me out.'

Tyrranis lifts a hand. "Until later then." He turns and leaves the fountian, mind already working on other things.

[-----LATER THAT EVENING-----]

A man fades in through the shadows of the northern avenue, stopping a few steps into the center to turn and look intently back north. His hair his short and black, and matches his leggings, which go with a shining silver breastplate affixed to his chest. An off-hooded black cape hangs from his neck.

A brisk wind blows. It chills, colder than a normal wind at this time should be, thought it is only brief, and merely rustles the man's attire. He doesn't seem to notice.

The man sighs, running his hand through one side of his hair. "I should nip this in the bud while I have the chance. But they need to see it with their own eyes." His voice is quiet, passive.

Crossroads returned from training sore and beyond feeling exhausted. Another vision had popped up while she was walking back from the forest. This one short, centering around that girl she saw earlier and some unknown man attacking her. She was too worn out to figure out what she actually made of this vision. For all she cared about at the moment, the man could kill the girl so long as he didn't stand in the way of Crossroads and her pillow. She walked on, not really paying much attention to her surrounding; focusing mostly on reaching a nice comfortable bed. It was because of this that Crossroads didn't see the armored man there when she bumped into him.

The man stands like a brick wall despite his own attention being elsewhere, he glances over his shoulder to see who or what is was that hit him, and merely nods an acknowledgment, stepping to one side to avoid further blockage of the roadway as he continues peering northward.

The man says, "Little late to be wandering the streets, Apple Knower." His voice is quiet, without strain or impression in any direction.

Crossroads stumbles a little after the impact, but luckily manages not to fall over... barely. " Thats because you, me and the new..." Crossroads looked up rubbing her eyes, quickly realizing that this was not Tyrranis she was talking to. The name Apple Knower was what Tyrranis had called Crossroads. But only he should have reason to call her that. As far as she knew, this man was definitely not Tyrranis. For one, she didn't remember the gigantos having armor like this.

Crossroads rubbed her eyes and looked at the man more closely. Yeah, this definitely wasn't him. Slowly recognition started to tug at the deepest recesses of her brain. This guy was familiar, but how? Then her eyes widened as the realization dawned on her. This was the man in her vision from a while ago, wasnt it?

For the moment, Crossroads could only stare at the armored man, mouth agape.

The man simply holds his position for a moment, noting that Crossroads hadn't been on her way as swiftly as he'd assumed she would. Though not sure why, he apparently didn't care much, either. "Best be on your way, comrade. You're going to need all your strength more sooner than later, and I'd rather not be the reason you don't have it when the time comes.

The man reaches up smoothly, placing a fingertip on a dark gem at his throat, held there by a thin, almost invisible white chain; as soon as he does, the shadows seem to absorb him, and he is there no longer.

Crossroads opens her mouth to say something. Certainly she would have numerous questions for this man, but before she can get a word out he is gone. She stands there for a moment wondering if this meeting had really happened, been another vision, or simply the result of not getting enough sleep.
