Crossroads looks at the selection eyeing the food. Her sights fall almost instantly upon one of the red apples.

Crossroads thinks, 'Hmmmm.'

A shadow passes over the shot as a tall figure steps to the doorway, and ducks to fit in. Once inside the store, Tyrranis casts his gaze around and sets his mind to remembering exactly what he needed to get.

Crossroads spares a glance at the door as you steps in, but her attention soon turns back to the apples and the silver in her hand. She counts it, trying to determine how many she can afford. She isn't one to carry much money on her.

Tyrranis steps forward simply, setting a large hand on one of the apples next to Crossroads and lifting it to examine. "These apples. They look quite good. Do you know if they are?" His question isn't so much directed to anyone as simply stated.

' They look fine. I can't say I've tried any yet.' Crossroads shrugged, inpecting the apples one by one and selecting the ones she thought looked best in the bunch.

"Hm. Perhaps I will try them after ascertaining their quality. You plan on purchasing some, correct?" Tyrranis looks at Crossroads with a quizzical look, and vaguely recalls that he should be polite at some point.

' Nope! Not at all!' Crossroads says with a wide grin, straightening up her posture and taking her first good look at the giant man talking to her. ' I am an apple inspector. I travel the world inspecting apples!'

Tyrranis raises one of his eyebrows up high as he looks upon the woman before him. "I was not aware that was an actual occupation."

' Thats because it isn't! I inspect apples as a hobby! ' Crossroads grin widens as she tries to stifle a laugh.

Tyrranis raises up a hand to scratch the side of his cheek. "It is a carefree hobby. I admire the fact that you can pursue as much. I do not have a hobby I am aware of."

Well that was just sad! Crossroads thought everyone had a hobby of some sort. ' Really? Nothing you enjoy doing?' Her eyes fall upon the baseball bat in his had, and she points to it, ' Do you play? '

Tyrranis brings up the bat and looks upon it's cracked form. "I do not. This is my weapon, an object used to devistate my enemies. That, and this." Tyrranis briefly opens his other hand, revealing the grey gem held within, before closing it again.

She stares at the gem, eyes widening and hand drifting up to touch her own. ' Say, you wouldn't have gotten that from a...' Crossroads didn't know what to call that thing she had made that deal with. ' ...Thing?'

You say ' I made a contract with a small creature for this. I cannot remember the creature's name however. It is the curse of my memory.'

"Kyuubey I think it was called. I made a deal with it too." Crossroads tilts her head slightly, " What did you wish for?"

Tyrranis' face splits into a wide grin. "That. I remember that. I wished for all my battles to be fought to the maximum degree. I tested it too, the results are by and far what I wanted."

" I see." Crossroads thinks that is kind of an odd thing to wish for. " Why not wish to just win all your battles?"

Tyrranis' demeanor gets a bit more irritated when this suggestion is brought up. "Feh! A weak response, there would be no sport involed. No clash. No fun. This way I get as much battle from an Imp as I would from a Dragon."

Crossroads, detecting the change in demeanor and irritation claps her hands together, nearly dropping an apple in the process. " Oh I see! That is your hobby! I knew you had one!" She was hoping he wouldn't pick up on her nervousness. After all, he was a pretty big guy and Crossroads didn't think it would be a good idea to make him angry.

Tyrranis straightens up again, his apparent haze of irritation gone. "I am not sure if that's a hobby. Do you consider it one?"

" You like fighting don't you? Or at least you like a fair fight... That's whats fun for you. Aren't hobbies things you like doing for fun?" Crossroads smiles
You say ' I guess so. Who are you? You know of the cat-granter. Are you also like me?'

" Yep, I'm like you." Crossroads shows you her gem.

You say ' What did you wish for? If not combat like I.'

Crossroads is silent for a moment, debating if she should tell him the truth or not. In the end, she didn't think it would be of any harm to tell this guy the truth. " I wanted to see the future."

You say ' The future of? There are many things on that subject'

"Anything I guess." Crossroads shrugged, she really hadn't been specific.

Tyrranis rubs his chin. "An odd wish. One would think seeing the future would just be living in general. As each second passes by you see what was coming."

" Yes, but if you see what is to come and you don't agree with it, don't you think it is only fair to be given the chance to change it?" Crossroads takes her apples to the counter and puts down the silver to pay for them.

You say ' I guess. My name is Tyrranis. It is nice to meet another Wished one.'

" Crossroads." She turns back to him and offers her hand. " And yeah, it is. Good to know I am not the only one who made the deal."

Crossroads takes her apples and heads outside.

Tyrranis also pays for his apple, and without much care of what it's condition is, steps outside brazenly.

" Hmm... You bought some apples too?" Crossroads asks, suddenly getting an idea.

You say ' Indeed. I was in need of food.'

" Would you let me inspect them? It is my hobby after all!" Crossroads is smiling as her eyes fall upon the five apples he walked out of the supply store with.

Tyrranis shrugs his shoulders, and then offers his purchase out to her. It's not like any harm could come to them.

" Great! I'm something of an expert at this you know!" Crossroads picks up one of the apples and turns it around, " Hm...no... this isn't good. Not the best of the bunch in there I'd say..." Still holding it, she reaches for another "and this one. Needs to be a little riper." Crossroads says.

Tyrranis frowns as his apples are steadily cut down on their quality levels. "But they are still edible, correct?"

" Yeah sure maybe but..." Crossroads hands you one of the apples she picked out and smiles as if she just had the best idea in the world, " Here! You can have one of my good ones in exchange! Good deal, right?!"

Tyrranis blinks slowly, and takes the apple. He stares at the apple intently. A smile slowly spreads across his face. "Thank you Crossroads. I am pleased greatly by this. If you need something, do not hesitate to ask me."

" No problem!" Crossroads smiles, but his offer leaves something of a sour feeling in her gut. Damn conscience. Could she really ask him for something after tricking him out of one of his apples? ... Maybe. " And yeah. I will!"

Tyrranis nods to Crossroads, stashes his apples.... somewhere, and then turns with a wave. "We will meet again one day Crossroads. Farewell for now."

Crossroads smiles and waves in return then goes off in the opposite direction, taking a bite out of one of the apples. It really DIDN'T taste as good as it should have, but it had nothing to do with the quality. She frowned, " Idiot. "

Crossroads turned the apple in her hand, wondering if maybe she would be able pay him back later. She'd feel better about it at least.
