Mogwai sits down at the fountain, looking over her letter from Eevee again before taking a glance up at the sky. That same vision again, of the maw of Atomos and fireballs raining from the sky. She blinks, and the vision is gone, but one projectile remains. She quickly gets out of the way as Gizmo falls down into the fountain.

Kimen still looked a little sickly, though her state seemed to be much improved compared to what it had been. Her nose was a little red still, and she still felt exhausted but was otherwise well enough to leave her nest of blankets and pay a visit to the fountain in hopes of looking for Kent. She felt a little bad for dissapearing on him and not telling him why. She walked slowly down the street, a piece of paper tacked to the wall catching her eye. Kimen paused, reading it with interest for a moment, before moving on.

The cloaked man makes his way into the fountain area, looking around somewhat for something or someone, seeming to have a slight limp which goes completely ignored.

Julexa scampers into the fountain area, nose slightly raised in the air and sniffing about, looking for someo0ne probably, but not having much luck and looking kind of rediculous like this. Eventually, she comes to the fountain, not paying much attention to anyone around yet..except for, well, Mogwai, she does scamper over and give her a wave..recognizing her at least.

A slight shimmer in the air darts into the square from the north, pausing near the fountain. After a moment, Helios uncloaks himself and looks around curiously.

Kent walks out of the inn and scratches his chin. 'need to shave,' he thinks casually. Kent isn't wearing his armor today. He hadn't been seen in town for a few days, but he seems to have rested up since he got back. In his left hand was some parchment and a pen, though the scribbles he wrote down couldn't be read from a distance. The exile had very small handwriting.

When Kent arrived in the fountain area he took a seat by the bench. Yesterday he had finished all of the errands he had to run, so he had time to idle and relax. Biting on the pen, Kent began to mutter a few things to himself. "Dear lord, thank you for... no. It was dear FATHER..."

"Good thing you're here." both start, before Gizmo concedes "You first." Mogwai goes on "I've been having funny visions lately. I was wondering, since you're from the future and all... any idea what they mean? I see the maw of Atomos, and fire in the sky." She gives a little wave to Julexa as she approaches.

Gizmo nods "Generally, I avoid spoilers. Especially with bad news. People tend to try and prevent it, and that leads to... bad things. Best not to dwell on it. But, this isn't anything you can prevent so... no harm in telling you. What you're seeing is a glimpse of your future. Mogwai... well, the you from Vana'diel's bad future, is trying to break into this world. She will bring with her great destruction. Be wary for the day the visions do not go away."

The cloaked man began to wander over towards Helios as the robot appeared, stopping in his tracks in utter confusion and looking about, not entirely sure what he was about to do when he reached the robot... (Akkursed Demonicor)

Mogwai ponders this "...do I win?" Gizmo shrugs "That's something you can control. So... spoilers."

Julexa had no idea what Mogwai and this new arrival was saying, so, she just stared up at the pair. "Pi~?(What is he talking about?)" She asks, as she jumps up and grabs the rim of the fountai9n, and wriggles back and forth until a foot catches; she hauls herself up.

"Well, you certantly seem to have a more eventful life than us, Mogwai. Great destruction and ominous visions... Sounds like an adventure novel." Helios notices the man standing nearby gawking at him. "Yes, can we help you?"

When Kimen arrives at the fountain, he drew up his hand to shield his eyes from the afternoon sun as he scanned the area for Kent. It didn't take the child too long to spot him. "Mr. Kent!" He called out with a wave, though he paused a moment to cough once into the crook of his arm before approaching the man. Despite feeling a lot better now, the cough was one thing that still seemed to linger.

Kent looked up from his paper to notice Kimen in front of him. "Hey kid," Kent said to the child, "haven't seen you in a couple of days. I was getting worried I was working you to hard." Kent folded up the paper and placed them in a pocket along with his pen. "How have you been holding up?"

Mogwai chuckles "Long story short, the reason for my whole quest earlier is catching up to me. Anyway, Gizmo, you had something to say to me?" Gizmo nods "I just wanted to... apologize. From my viewpoint, this is the last time we meet. I've always acted brash, and cocky, but the truth is I have no idea what I'm doing. I never cared before, but I just recently realized the consequences of what can happen to me."

Gizmo continues "Do you remember how, when we first met, I mentioned a monster I was fighting in my time. A great beast I was taking on by myself?" Mogwai nods "It always bothered me... why am I doing this by my lonesome. It made no sense at all. Then I realized... I couldn't have. I must have gone with comrades, I always rely on others."

Gizmo continues "But... if this beast has control over time, perhaps it can erase people from time. Make them no longer exist. In that case, I'm not just alone. I'm the last survivor of my team. Being sent back here is probably just the first step in erasing me. I know this is my last time being sent back, I wont get into how I know that, Mogwai. So... if I don't defeat it when I return... Well, I suppose there'd be no point in apologizing to you at that point."

Julexa tilts her head to one side, drooping an ear and it twitches in silent thought. She's pretty confused right now, not understanding much of all of what the newcomer said, or what she's going on about. So, she just sits on the side of the fountain, and gently sways back and forth, forgetting what she was doing beforehand.

"I actually have been recovering from a bit of a cold so thats why I haven't been around. I guess its not all that uncommon with the seasons changing or something." Kimen said with a small smile, noticing by his greeting that Kent seemed to be in a good mood today. "I've sort of been stuck in bed a lot. I did look for you to tell you when I went to the healers for medicine, but I didn't see you around then. I was afraid you'd be mad and think I ran off or something." Kimen reached up, scratching the back of her neck nervously, "Did anything happen?"

"Oh, Demonicor. Sorry we didn't recognise you there. Have the units been behaving satisfactorily?" Helios glances back at Mogwai. "Well, if you ever need any assistance with any of that, you know where to find us."

In his tunic, Kent did notice that the weather was getting colder. He should have brought his cloak. Still, Kimen was apparently ill recently. The weather, so she claimed. "I told you that your magic was nothing but trouble," Kent huffed, "and now here you are saying you got yourself sick. Typical." Kent shook his head with mild disaproval but quickly went back to his lighter mood. "I've been out of town, myself. I think I got a umm..." Was Kent smiling? "I think I found a lead to a demon. It'll be nice to get back in the swing of things."

"Huh? Oh, no, they're fine last I knew. I was just... I came here for something but..." he shakes his head, something of a headache developing. He begins to walk off north "I... need to clear my head, I think"

Mogwai leans over and hugs Julexa "Well, I'm sure we'll both come out fine in the end. Anyway, Julexa, I've got good news. I got a letter from Eevee." she says, holding the letter where the pichu can see "Has he taught you how to read yet?"

Kimen blinked at the man, not sure what magic had to do with catching a cold. Kimen found it to be exhausting sometimes, but never once had he heard of anyone getting sick from casting unless they were messing with spells specifically for doing that... And even then Kimen didn't really understand why anyone would want to cast spells to make people sick anyway. Sure people have done it, even his own classmates! But Kimen generally steered clear of messing with such spells. He might have said something to the man about the matter however the child pushed what he was about to say aside when Kent announced his news, eyebrows raising in interest, "A demon?"

AkKURSED Demonicor grinned somewhat at the suggestion, stopping in his tracks Maybe you cou- he coughed a little bit eh... probably better for you to stay here.... I'll be back. he made a beeline towards the forest, not looking back.

Julexa leans in a bit closer to the paper, after nuzzling Mogwai's arm a bit. She tries to read it, but the lines come across as incomprehensible. She just shakes her head with that cute, innocent smile as she looks up at Mogwai.

"Haha yes! A demon!" Kent smiled ecstatically. He near slapped his knee at the unnatural joy he was feeling. "I don't know where it is, but I know the guy that does. It's blood will stain my sword, I can smell it!" His eyes had an insane glee about them, which would probably make others uncomfortable, "...and it smells good."

Mogwai smiles at Julexa and reads the letter out loud to her, moving a finger across the words as she does so. Gizmo sits down next to them, seeming to enjoy having a quiet and peaceful experience.

Helios flickers his lens as the man departs. "Well then, in that case..." Helios moves back over to the fountain. "Well, that was rather abrupt. We wonder what he was looking for."

Again Kimen blinked at the man, "A demon whose blood... smells good?" she mentally went through the list of demons she knew about in her own world and came up with nothing. "What kind of demon is it, Mr. Kent?"

Kent smiled at his friend. "Truely, Kimen I do not know. But what does it matter?" Kent was almost entirely unaware of Kimen's confusion, too caught up in his own (peculiar) bliss. "A demon is a demon is a demon. They're all heartless beasts who need to die. They're anywhere from seductive corrupters of good men or massive lords of pure unholy might. It feels good to know that a holy man like I can attempt to make his own difference in the world."

AkKURSED Demonicor made his way north, clutching his head in agony, "Damnit... what went wrong now... he stumbled around, not paying attention to much of anything, the foul stench of imp warrens all about, as well as..... the unnatural grin stretched across his face again "blOoD..." he made his way towards the rotting carrion, something had been busy, blood, and perhaps battle, something to get his blood truly pumping through his magical veins.

A fat chunk of meat sits outside the imp warrens, and as Demonicor moves closer to the cave, some force make it move slowly away from him, almost leading him towards the caves.

Mogwai folds up the letter and tucks it away "Yes, he certainly does. But I'm certain he'll come out of it stronger. He always does, that's why I've stuck around him for so long. Anyway... got any plans for when he gets back? We definitely need a celebration of some sort."

Julexa blinks twice. Uh oh, she hasn't thought about that yet! She just learned he went off on a big trip! "Pi....~(Uhhhh....)" Is all that she said, as she tries to think of something, quick! However long she thinks, her coming up with something is highly unlikely. She slowly shakes her head and blushes out of embarrassment.

AkKURSED Demonicor ignored the meat, stumbling towards the cave, the meat wasn't the source of all this blood, this death, this haven of corpses. He made his way into the cave, his pupils lit with an inner crimson glow as his unnatural heart beat faster. He didn't bother to wait, didn't cast a spell, his brains too gone too far to bother with finess, he simply lunged into the cave with a strained cross between a roar and a hiss.

Kimen frowns and tilts his head. Kent sure seemed excited about this but at the same time, he really wasn't giving the child any details other than it was a demon, and he was going to fight it. There was no mention of where, or what it had done, or even what kind it was. "Mr. Kent. do you have ANY details on this demon of yours? Or is 'its a demon' all you have?"

As the shambling Demonicor throws himself into the midst of the cave, it feels several snags of resistance, and things begin flying about the entrance to the kave immediately. Bones, sharpened to a point and lashed to branches swing out like massive spiked bats. Cages drop from the roof, similarly constructed and held together with sinew and strips of flesh. And, most importantly, near the back, the sound of a small bell goes off. (Forte)

"Well I haven't exactly... " Kent felt very unprofessional,"...MET with the contact, persay. But I know it's out there!" Kent was awefully determined, despite knowing so little. "I'll be sure to tell you all the details once I have them. But that's how hunting works sometimes, all you have is a lead and you just need to have that encourage you."

Mogwai ponders "Yeah, cake's a given. Wonder if I should do a big party, or just something small. It sounds like he's made some major changes in his life and all."

Helios nods. "Perhaps a homemade gift would be more appreiceated." He thinks for a moment. "Oh, you could knit him a little sweater. We have seen some of them on pets around Truce lately, due to the weather no doubt, and if you made it we are sure he would like it more."

AkKURSED Demonicor roared out as it hit the cage wall, a few spikes stuck through its gut and missing an eye from one of the bones, ignoring or not noticing the pain, it began to gnaw and grasp at the cage, tearing it apart as blood pooled at its feet, not caring about much of anything anymore, its body calling for blood, what is left of its mind not further of from the same.

Kimen folded her arms as Kent's explanation didn't sound very convincing. She couldn't say for sure, but with the amount of details missing the whole thing seemed sort of fishy. Its possible this lead could actually be for a demon, but it also seemed possible that it could be a false lead and get Kent into some sort of trouble. "I'll just come with you then."

Julexa lets out a soft sound that one could compare with a 'hrm..'. "Pi--!(We should throw hi a small party, with only the people he knows..so as not to overwhelm him..maybe a small gathering at a secluded spot in the forest to welcome him back or something.." She says, sort of non-commitedly.

Twinned red lights suddenly kick on at the back of the cave and cast a very soft light on the rest of the area. Then, two rough clicks sound before a red dot appears in the center of Demonicor's head. Shortly after, the relative silence explodes, thunderous booms sounding from the back of the cave as light flashes into the area, illuminating everything for seconds at a time.

Kent hacked up a cough and looked at the child. "...Yeah well the lead may be...umm..." Kent scratched his head, "The lead has reasons to dislike me. Last time we met he... threatend me with death." Kent stared at Kimen's glare. "He said he'd give me the contact in exchange for me not hunting him or his kin. Take that as you will."

AkKURSED Demonicor continued to wrench at the cage and its supports trying to reach the source of the light as the bullets sink into its skull, appearing mostly fine for a moment, simply staring forward, before it slumpped to the floor, half of its head missing. Its clothes and body an unrecognizable wreck, its remaining eye blank, and its heart beating its last.

Mogwai stands up "Alright then, so we shouldn't get anything too big... how about we head down to the bakery, see if we can find any cake designs that look good? Gizmo, need help getting back to your time?" Gizmo smirks "Eh, just drive like you usually do and you should go fast enough."

A soft clinking noise sounds from the back of the cave as Demonicor's body collapses, and the red lights shut off once again.

Kimen's expression becomes serious with Kent's explanation and he slowly shakes his head, all the while fighting the urge to smack his face into one of his palms. "So your lead then has reasons to be untrustworthy. Considering they think you have plans to threaten his family, It shouldn't be unreasonable for you to consider the possibility that they might be leading you into some sort of trap. You said he did threaten you with death after all. I think you might be counting your chickens before they hatch." Kimen tapped his finger against his arm looking at kent sternly, "And why does this guy dislike you and think you are planning on hunting down his family anyway?"

Julexa looked up at Mogwai and rapidly nodded, that sounded like a good idea. "Pichu~!(Yes, yes! Let's do that..that sounds like a great idea!)" She says, as she slips off the side of the fountain and lands softly on her feet, looking up at Mogwai. Then, she just realizes: She doesn't know where it is.

Electricity crackles into Cleft from an unknown orgin in the sky as a hologram appears in the middle of it. The hologram forms into a humanoid figure and starts to become more solid. The electricity fades and the figure is plunged down into the Fountain below him.

Kent sunk in his seat. "Well..." He began, his voice becoming very quite. He fidgetted a little with his thumbs. "He's a..." Kent was having trouble pushing the air out of his mouth, "...vampire..."

"Well, you two have fun. We are sure that little fuzzball will like whatever you end up getting him." Helios nods thoughtfully.

Mogwai leads Julexa and Gizmo to where she parked "That's ok, we should be able to get there shortly." she says, starting it up "Everyone buckle up and hold on tight!" she says, racing down the street

Julexa climbs into the bus, and sits up front, near Mogwai, as she takes off, being too small to reach an actual seat and seatbelt, after all, she tries her best to hang on as they speed off.

"...And?" Kimen asked, arms still folded as she waiting for further explanation from the former knight.

The figure climbs out of the Fountain, electricity sparks off the robot's body. It looks around and says confusingly to itself, "Where is i-" *Crack!* The figure looks down to find a crushed CD, labeled "Upgrade", under his foot. He stares at it shocked and says, "No....no.....no...." He then falls to his knee and then onto the ground as the very little power he had drains away.

Kent looked at Kimen in awe. Was he getting talked back to by a child. His apprentice for that matter? This was certainly an ironic twist, and not something Kent was enjoying. "I don't get you, sometimes. What is it that you want from me?"

"Vampires are not exactly demons Mr. Kent. So I don't know why one is worried about you hunting down their family... unless something happened. Telling me that the guy is a vampire doesn't exactly answer my question of why he dislikes you, and your reaction seems to to indicate that there is more to this then you are letting on." Kimen straighed his back, keeping his gaze on Kent.

"Well, guess we should head back and help the M85 finish weatherproofing." Helios flies north, fading from viev after a moment.

Kent ran through the details as quickly as he could. "I ran into him on my way home one night, he approached me, told me to stay away from him, I got mad, he told me about demons, he ran away. Next day comes, we have out first training session." Kent took a breath.

"Last few days come around, truce get's attacked by giant force of nature, I run away with Consiland, get drunk, and decide to track this man down to take him up on the offer." Kent looked at Kimen intently. "That awnser everything?"

The figure starts to flash white, as it's form becomes more jagged and polygonish. The flashing stops and a Computer Startup sound can be heard as the figure's eyes open and it lifts itself off the ground. *Backup Battery is now in use* *Find a place to recharge ASAP!* The Robot looks around and then starts to walk off over to the docks.

At this, kimen reached up and rubbed her forehead. She still had plenty of questions. How did Kent know the guy was a vampire? And based on that story he just told her, why did it matter if he was or not? She could go on and on. Instead she just asked, "Alright. Answer me one more thing." She said slowly, "Knowing this guy doesn't like you, and knowing he has threatened kill you, why were you so blindly trusting of this lead he offered when it could so easily be a trap?"

Kent grit his teeth and gave the most honest awnser he could. "Because I have no choice. Because I was exiled from my order. Because I have sacrificed my honor. Because I have tried to redeem my soul by hunting down every last one of those creatures I could. Because if I can't redeem myself, I will at least be able to make this world more pure. Because if there is any hint at all, it is my job to follow it. Because it's who I am now Kimen."

Kimen sighed and closed his eyes, "That doesn't mean you should allow yourself to be taken for a fool." He said after a moment, "I will be coming with you when you meet this man if you still wish to inquire about this lead. Because if I don't keep you out of trouble, who will?"

Kent stood up. I fidgetted with the golden symbol around his neck and looked at the sky. "You cruel bastard," He muttered under his breath, staring at the clouds going by. He turned his neck back towards Kimen. "Alright. If you're so determined, so be it." He let the jewelry slip out of his fingers as his arms fell back to his side. "Kimen, you're really a pain in my side sometimes. You know that right?"

"You'll get used to it," Kimen smiled up at Kent, then turned, coughing a few times to clear the tickle in her throat that had been nagging her for some time now.

Kent patted Kimen on the back. "Alright, alright. You mages think you know everything, but you can't even treat a cough." He began to walk south, and motioned for Kimen to follow. "I'll order you some tea at the Inn. That'll keep you warm." He flipped a coin. "With honey, on me"

Kimen followed after Kent, letting the comment about mages slide with Kent's promise of some tea with honey. The child had actually ran out of his own tea sometime in the middle of the week. His smile quickly turned into a grin, "That sounds great Mr. Kent! Thank you"
